i worship this. ancient statues and paintings and hymns are cool for imagination, but this is the moon that i pray to. this is the tiny planet that earth snagged up in it’s gravitational grasp like a treasure! this is the giant rock that circles the sky, that affects our tides and the behavior of most living things and inspires our art and grants a sense of safety in the dark and reminds us of the relentless passing of time in a beautiful ceaseless show of light with a pattern that mimics life’s highs and lows? this is a God we are looking at!!!

my brain can barely wrap around the perspective. it’s such a subversion of our reality— our home planet looking small while wearing the same shadows the moon normally flaunts. the moon gets to observe the same cycles that she gifts to us reflected back on our own planet’s surface! and we get to have a high quality picture of a GOD looking down on earth oh my GOODNESS i could squeal

Here's a devotional piece I drew for Lady Selene <33 it's based on Bouguereau's painting titled Evening Mood, as it always reminded me of her . Hope you like it <3

I'm trying something a little different with my art , as in I'm trying to include more colors to make it pop more if that makes sense :')

Also I added stars around Lady Selene's crescent moon because she's often described as being surrounded by stars , as if they dance around her in a way .

two nights ago, i went to bed lamenting the fact that i couldn’t gaze at the moon because the window was too high up.

imagine my surprise when i was getting ready for bed last night and glanced up to see the moon positioned perfectly to where i could stare at it without having to strain my neck or head. i am utterly in love with the moon blessed by our lovely Lady Selene and She has made me look forward to every night more often, nowadays.

Having my graduation party today and the moon came out while it was still daytime. I like to think that was Selene saying congratulations on graduating.

Got to have a nice bonfire with my family which just felt like Hestia if that makes sense

It’s just nice feeling the divine in mundane things, y’know?
