In a recent discussion, I explained to a slightly aghast @jesusismyhostage that I saw this in the theater, first run. I was 3. That shot above was one of the most horrifying things I’ve ever seen. I remember freaking the fuck out. But there was no leaving. My whole family was there too, no one bat an eyelash. No one moved, no one thought it was a problem. “He’s little, he won’t remember.” Was said at one point. By the time we got to this…

I was beyond done. Even now, it kinda gets to me and makes my heart race a little. It’s a favorite now, but sometimes it’s a really rough watch.

It also explains a few things about me and my fucked up brain, the crazy memory for some stuff, the gaps of memory for others, the anxiety, the panic attacks, depression, it goes on…

But so do I.
