I want to add a small detail that’s a bit of a self insert for Jared Booth, so hear me out: as a child, he was so repulsed by alcohol. He couldn’t stand being around it, smelling it, or even seeing people drink it. He told Seeley that he would never fall into the habit of being like their father, who drank a lot. I want to say that his chain of command in the Navy pressured him to drink once, especially after boot camp, and he’s never been able to put the bottle down since. He tries to get better from the drinking, but in the end he gets frustrated with something (primarily himself) and begins to drink his feelings and thoughts.
I could go ahead with more details about the whole chain of command thing, but I personally feel like that could be a different post. I was making one for Seeley’s deployments and such, so I could use that to explain the why and how Jared got into drinking.
I was talking to someone about Plague Rat and they pointed something out to me that I haven’t been able to get out of my brain:
One of Plague Rat’s biggest things is that he can communicate with pest animals. This being an extremely versatile ability since rats and pigeons are everywhere and basically can act as Plague Rat’s eyes and ears in the wall.
There’s literally a plot point that the bat family realizes just how much Plague Rat knows through this, but doesn’t use half that information against them. (Come to realize it’s because it steps beyond Plague Rat’s weird and complicated moral code. Remember, Plague Rat is an anti-villain, not a straight up villain.)
And so, remembering that, they said:
“So if he were in the Harley Quinn TV show, he’d be the guy in the office building who’s always on top of all the drama and gossip.”
@potatokujhoe YES I love this? (I wonder if it’s a fear he’s always had or one that develops/gets worse after everything with Formaggio….) But there’s definitely a hierarchy of who kills bugs in the Bucci gang (I did include myself since this kind of started with a discussion about my self insert, but you can always elect to ignore that lol)
- Abbacchio kills bugs no problem. Will roll his eyes at you for asking because “you’re really scared of such a tiny thing?” but he won’t make a huge deal of it.
- Mista doesn’t really care much either way. He’ll kill a bug, but they don’t bother him much. Probably the type to pick it up and show it to you just to freak you out.
- Narancia will kill a bug if he has to, but usually doesn’t fuck with it if it won’t fuck with him. He and I are both fans of the “trap it under a cup and get someone to kill it” method. Narancia will ask me for help with spiders but I will ask him for help with bugs. We’re more likely to ask people higher up the list, though, since it’s less of an issue for them.
- I don’t kill most bugs unless I absolutely have no choice but to do it myself. I can kill spiders, but I usually have to find a shoe or something to smack them with. (Don’t ask me why one is different than the other because I don’t even know myself tbh.)
- Trish does not kill bugs. Categorically refuses. If the guys aren’t around, she’ll ask me because she knows I’ll either trap it or smush it, which she gets too creeped out to do. But again, Mista or Abbacchio are first choice.
- Bruno and Giorno are lower on the list simply because they don’t kill bugs. They will catch and release, though, so they’re still good to ask! Bruno will scoop up a bug in his hand no problem, and frankly? Will probably watch it with interest. Isn’t it such a fascinating creature? Oh. Right. You wanted it out of the house. Okay, don’t worry, he’s got it!
- Giorno doesn’t kill bugs. They’re innocent creatures and he has no reason to kill them, so he refuses. Doesn’t give others a hard time about it because he gets it, but he’s not going to kill something he doesn’t have to. He scoops bugs up very matter-of-factly before bringing them outside.
Hi !!! Could I request headcanons for a fem reader who is Shōyō Hinata’s childhood best friend !!!
Hi! Thank you so much for this request!! It took a long time for me to get this out and I'm really sorry about that, but here it finally is!
Childhood friends with Hinata Shoyo headcanons under the cut!
The Hinata’s have been your next-door neighbors for your entire life
Your parents were also close friends
So you two have been attached at the hip since you were toddlers
You would always go on little ‘adventures’ together and explore around the neighborhood when you were little
You went to the same school together all the way from elementary through high school
In middle school, you were on the girls’ volleyball team
You helped him out with his own practicing whenever you could
He was the one to get you into volleyball, mostly because he kept talking to you about the little giant for ages after he first saw him on tv
And it didn’t take long for you to also start thinking it was cool as hell
You both know pretty much everything about each other
From things like favorite colors, to everything that makes you both anxious, to the specific crushes you both had in elementary school
So of course you’re also an expert at knowing how to calm him down whenever he goes into Nervous Wreck Mode™ (like he did during the seijoh practice match)
You give the rest of the team a course on how to help him
He also knows how to cheer you up whenever you’re feeling down
Sometimes that means just rambling to you about something to distract you, which is his specialty
He’ll just go on and on about a new technique he’s learning, or telling you about all the weird shit Tanaka and Nishinoya get up to until you’ve forgotten that you were even sad in the first place
You would always be each others fake dates for events
But you see each other as siblings so much that you both know that nothing’s actually going to come from it
You have frequent sleepovers, even in your late teens
You both are at each other’s houses so often that you both have two homes really
You also end up being super close with Natsu too
She actually likes you more than she likes Shoyo
And of course Shoyo is forever bitter about that, claiming you ‘stole’ her
You were low-key jealous when he started getting really close with Kageyama
Mostly because he started hanging out with him almost as much as he hung out with you
On top of that, Kags is his go-to practice partner now, which was the title you held for over three years
But it doesn’t take too long for Shoyo to realize how you felt
He knows you so well after all, how could he not notice that something’s up
So now the three of you all hang out whenever you can so he doesn’t have to choose between you two
So you and Kageyama became close pretty quickly too
Of course you tease them for their obvious crushes on each other any chance you get
Anyway, enough about a character anon didn’t ask for
You two have the best inside jokes
Shoyo gets up to a lot of dumb stuff that makes for the funniest stories
No one knows why the hell you laugh whenever someone mentions cinder blocks or parabolas
(Yes those are both references to inside jokes I’m a part of)
If someone asks about it you just say “cause of Shoyo, that’s why”
You both tease each other for your heights constantly
If you’re short, then he’ll make fun of you for it despite being fully aware that he’s also very short
If you’re tall, then “tree” and “giraffe” are very common words in his vocabulary
Lighthearted teasing is a pillar of your friendship
I think that’s it for now! I feel like I went a bit overboard and wrote a lot of these, but it’s the least y’all deserve after having to wait this long for any content. Thanks again for the request and I really hope you like these anon!
Shinnok’s response to him being told his s/o loves him for anon
-Shinnok is surprised at first, and a bit not knowing what to say. Being an elder god, he never in his wildest dreams would imagine a mortal being his lover.
-When the words, “I love you, Shinnok” leaves their lips, his blood runs cold for a second and he’s a shaking bucket of nerves not knowing what to do or say. Instead, he defends his pride and denies it, but with some convincing, he realizes what his S/O told him.
-He wasn’t sure what emotions he was feeling upon being told that a mortal loves him. Shinnok would be unsure of his feelings and ask himself if he’s gone insane.
-Since he’s used to harsh criticism and punishment from the other Elder Gods, Shinnok isn’t used to your kindness or affection. When you bake him a cake or any sweets he’s very suspicious that you poisoned them but he learns you mean well.
-When he fully understands that your love and attention comes with no strings attached he believes that you’re either insane or genuine. Maybe both.
-He denies it at first that what you told him was the truth but when he sees you are indeed telling him the truth, he accepts it, and asks you why you feel the things you do.
-Being an elder god of death, destruction and chaos, he doesn’t think it would possible for your relationship with him will last. He knows that mortals have short lives and he can live to the end of time. When he tells you that worry, he feels better knowing you’ll be with him till the day your time comes.
-He knows his mother Kronika and sister Cetrion would never approve of your relationship but he doesn’t care at all. After all it feels good to not be harassed or criticized by anyone and by anyone it’s by you.
-He is more than willing to make you immortal in some way, vampirism, a revenant, any way to make you stay with him for eternity but he will accept your declines and when you say no.
-He is incredibly romantic to you and loyal, and willing to answer to your every beck and call. He’ll treat you like royalty and eager to please.
-He is obsessed with your mortal life, so expect lots of hand holding and cuddling. He loves the feel of your heartbeat so he adores every hug he receives from you.
-When you two start dating, he’s a total goth at heart. Black roses, candles embedded in skulls he collects, even making you trinkets like lockets made of gold and even a pet bat as a gift.
-Shinnok is very sensitive on the inside but cold on the outside to other people. Only when he’s with you he will show his true colors. When it comes to you, he has no reason in the Netherrealm to lie to you and he’s true blue 100%.
-All in all, he is an amazingly kind and romantic man to you, and will be there for you always. In defiance of the elder gods, he will in turn serve you faithfully. He will always be happy to make you smile and despite what some consider creepy, he considers it cute.
Having a bad brain day and feeling pretty dysphoric today so uhhh have this random headcanon.
Big sis Magne was a huge influence and support for Say in understanding their gender identity. Say needed a lot of support and patience when it came to figuring out who they were and separating their gender presentation from their identity. But Magne was always there for late night heart to hearts. Magne is the biggest reason Say was able to accept themselves as nonbinary (genderfluid) despite the fact they almost always present very feminine.
I just really love big sis Mag and I'm really grateful to count her as a friend.
Thank you @nitorious-ghost! Tbh I’ve been wanting to make these long spoiler Bungou Stray Dogs headcanons of AtsuTina for a while. Well, here we go!
Christina Avila is actually a reincarnated human form of one of the original authors of,”The Book”. She was a moon goddess and the youngest of the many creators who made The Book LITERALLY come to life.
Atsushi Nakajima was a creation breathed into life by another author of The Book, but he turned out a disappointment to them. The moon goddess fell instantly in love with him. Before one of them could destroy Atsushi for good, she threw herself in front of him and refused to move. The creators, confused and enraged by this decision, wondered why such a beautiful goddess would protect such “a weakling”.
Boldly, she stated,”Regardless of form, imperfections are a beauty upon itself! I’d rather see him live and create his own potential then to see him destroyed into oblivion! I’d expect more from my people than to just throw their creations away!” Many authors were silently perplexed, but the leader permitted her to keep him under the condition that he will be her protector for eternity and granted him immortality in return.
Atsushi was stunned, confused as to why the moon goddess intended to keep him. But he grew quickly into enjoying his newfound life at the Moon Gardens, the goddess’ humble abode. He trained hard everyday and for his mistress so he could protect his saviors life. Little did Atsushi know he slowly fell for the moon goddess and became more than just,”her knight”, and soon reciprocated her affections. Their relationship stretched into thousands of years and was deeper than the greatest love written in books.
However, their newfound happiness was soon to be breached when the creators eventually knew of their forbidden love. Tragedy struck when Atsushi protected his mistress’s life from a terrible accident and died in her arms. Overcome by grief, she soon died too of a broken heart. For to live without her tiger knight, she took her own life from her hands by ripping her golden heart out and threw it down to the Earthen realm.
After many years, she eventually was reincarnated into human form as Christina Avila, the counselor at the ADA. Christina will always have brown tips of her hair magically turn silver under every full moon to remind her of her moon goddess past. She will also be seemingly melancholic and nostalgic during this time (even though she doesn’t know why). Atsushi too, was reincarnated as another human that will soon be with her. Hence why he transforms into a tiger under the moonlight, since his mistress (Christina Avila) originally granted him all these abilities.
No matter how many lives and alternate universes they share, they always come back to love each other as strongly as the first time. 🌹🍷✨
Bonus: Christina’s original moon goddess form (quick sketch version)
