a digital self portrait. experimenting with the process of the 3d scanning software that makes a digital depiction of you through the information from reality that you give to it. this is the technological representation of me. my digital portraits. it’s interesting and beautifully aesthetic the way it creates this depiction, through millions of little dots 8,000,000 to be precise. this is what creates ‘me’ in digital form

The day after Formal, I still had some emotions to deal with. I was still a very angry person, after all the disenfranchisement I’d had to deal with over the past two years, and the tension at Formal was still on my mind.

Alison and I had been borrowing her brother’s House DVD sets, and I hadn’t really given the show much attention to that point, and immediately was in love with Hugh Laurie’s character. Angry guy that I was, I identified pretty well with his flawed character.

So, this little self-portrait shoot was kind of meant to be phantom of the opera inspired, but the mask thing didn’t really work out, so I just tried to look handsome, and I felt, afterwards, that I looked a little Housey (I think I just saw what I wanted to believe, honestly).

But I’ve always liked that top self portrait.
