Rocking Chairs (move) rock back and forth; but goes no where. When you don’t have a clear vision for your life you can’t plan accordingly. All you do is live haphazardly but are never productive in what you’re called to do. Amazing LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES in this SCENE: What kept this baby going even after a huge early fall was her coach’s voice - Her Daddy. Did you see the way she looked at him in the beginning? She also listened to him and quickly got up after her fall. I believe that throughout the whole cycle she listened to a real coach who had instructed her prior to the race. At the end she listened one more time instructively to the very finished spot where she received her prize. (She’s grabbed something from the referee). A caring coach who properly covers you first believes in you. Secondly, gives you proper instruction. Lastly, helps you win 🏆 and celebrates a win with you where YOU get the credit, NOT him. That’s right because YOU DID IT! 👋🏼🎉🔥🎈🎁 In other words, he isn’t afraid to back off and let the light shine upon you - where it’s supposed to be. For too long we’ve been introduced to an insecure leadership that just can’t get out of site and allow those being inspired to properly shine. I was always taught from early that “the spot light should be on them, not on us” if we are going to lead effectively. Until you have a genuine desire to see others achieve you are not ready to lead! When you give them something that’s real to always serve them as a reminder they’ll secure their own wins. Your satisfaction was that you coached them through it with no ulterior motive. If you Stray from Your Authority, Simply Submit to Your Authority Again. When you are not operating under your authority it takes extra effort to work. We call this toiling or working against the grain. While we encourage discipline we should not always go and live contrary our natural disposition. When First Century Leader Paul was outside of his own lane he was told by the Author Himself (the One who ultimately authorizes us to be ourselves), “It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” (Acts 26:14). A “goad” is a form of prick, thorn, sting, or sharp pointed instrument. Usually used to drive cattle or oxen. Imagine going about life in a direction that is contrary to what you’re supposed to be doing? It’s like kicking the very point that’s supposed to be provoking you in the your right (authorized) direction. He was chosen to be influential to nations, even kings (people in power). But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.” (Acts 9:15). Once Paul understood his true authority, returned to himself, and was living according to it (in his lane), he “grew more and more powerful.” (Acts 9:22) in carrying out his life assignment. Wherever your gift is, that’s where your power is. You have the authority to be yourself because you are gifted to be yourself. Grow stronger and bolder in your own lane, not in someone else’s. Know yourself and what you were already “chosen”, selected, and handpicked for. Many of us drift from our own calling and purpose in order to serve other people’s agenda. This in business is called, “Hiding from the Gross (income) or from what really matters.” (Unknown). Following a lot of this world’s systems discourages individuality and keeps us stifled in a web of fear. This is why First Century Writer Paul stated to his contemporaries not to conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of their mind. Then they will be able to test and approve what God's will (purpose and intent) is---his good, pleasing and perfect will for their lives. (Romans 12:2). Defining God’s will (our purpose) is already tied to who you are and the real aspirations you want to move towards. Consider what’s at the root of why you want those things and start taking the steps towards making it a reality. Questions to ask yourself: What excites you? What are you constantly dreaming about doing? What are others telling you you are good at? Where do you consistently see yourself in your internal private visions? What would you do even if no monetary compensation were offered in exchange? What have you always wanted to do for humanity? What topics gives you goose bumps when talking or engaged in conversation?
