I know that Krillin's Selflessness State is technically canon already in the DBS anime, but there was little that this form had to offer imo.
However, thanks to @sweetescapeartist for his Tumblr post, I was able to understand the form and like how it tied to Krillin's journey as a character.
It's thanks to the post that I was able to come up with new abilities for SS. So without further ado, here's my version of Selfnessness State.
"By facing his fears, controlling his heart, and learning to perfectly control his ki to the point that none of it leaks out of him, Krillin is able to significantly increase his strength, gaining a layered, focused, white aura outline around his body with his six dots glowing."
With Selflessness State, Krillin is able to utilize his ki without draining it significantly, allowing him to unleash high-level physical/energy attacks without any drawbacks to the point that even basic attacks have high damage.
Krillin is also capable of altering the property of his ki for a variety of uses: making it sharp like his Destructo Disc for offensive methods, using it to help heal himself or his party, or layering it around his body to make it be like armor.
In this form, Krillin’s form makes him more durable than he is normally, making him able to contend with his opponent, even if they are stronger than him.
What motivated me to make my post that explains Krillin's power up in DBS EP 76 was how nobody with a big name in the fandom took the effort to dive deep into it. But the key motivation was an interaction I had with Kendamu on Twitter back in 2020.
The response is deleted now, but the answer was something along the lines that they believed it was simply a reference to the Namekian Grand Elder unlocking Krillin's power and thats it. They said it was nothing significant about it. As most peopl have said & still say.
With Kendamu having knowledge of Eastern philosophies & martial arts, I thought they would give a more deeper answer. But, it just goes to show that not a lot of research is done for human characters even by the most knowledgeable people. Most in the fandom would rather focus soley on the Saiyans & often end up dismissing the human characters and don't do any research on them.
And that's not to make Kendamu look bad in any way. They just didn't have any interest information about Krillin. Which is why I spent half a year studying Buddhism and did other research before I made my post about Krillin's Non-Self State power. And I have continued to do more research to this day, occasionally updating the post where needed.
I still haven't seen 1 YouTube video that explains Krillin's power-up in detail.
I was hoping maybe MasakoX would do a color theory video about, but he doesn't do those kinds of videos anymore. Those were my favorite kinds of videos he made. He mainly does what-ifs and Raditz stuff now.
The other who I hoped would do an in-depth video about it was Geekdom101. Maybe in a Transformation Guide (since Non-Self State is a spiritual transformation) or a Technique Guide (since Non-Self State requires a specific kind of mindset similar to Ultra Instinct). But, I doubt he will make a video about Krillin's power soon or ever. Those guides are mainly filled with physical transformations from Saiyans and other aliens or mainly techniques from Saiyans.
So... the most in-depth content about Krillin's power-up so far is from me lol. 😅 Too bad my reach & influence isn't very far. 😓

So, I figured I'd make a response with a post instead & add some visuals.
Now, idk much about statistics and stuff for Xenoverse 2, so I did a bit of research for comparison. And after looking at stats for Awoken Skills, I also think it would be similar to Potential Unleashed. But, I'd make NSS (short for Non-Self State) an Earthling only ability that performs this way;
STATS FOR NON-SELF STATE📊
Ki Cost: 200
Strike Attack Mod: +12.5%
Blast Attack Mod: +12.5%
Strike Defense Mod: +5%
Blast Defense Mod: +5%
Ki Generation: +60%
Effects: +5% Increased Speed, -3% Stamina Drain
Non-Self State would be a transformation exclusive to Krillin & human created characters. This transformation would only be acquired from training under Krillin. The final test would be facing hordes of enemies until you defeat a certain amount, then you will access Non-Self State. NSS would be the best Earthling transformation that is comparable to Potential Unleashed. It's almost as good but not quite.
For comparison; NSS has weaker Attacks than Potential Unleashed, but has the same Defenses. The Ki Cost of NSS is lower than Potential Unleashed & the ki regeneration is better than Potential Unleashed. However, there is a stamina drain for NSS while Potential Unleashed does not have this drawback.
FOR KRILLIN 🌰⠿
When Krillin uses NSS, he calmly transforms into the form, then has dialogue where he proclaims "Control my energy and mind." & "This is the new me!" & "Let's go!"
Attacks unique to Krillin when using this form;
Selfless Strike: A dash attack with low Super Armor. If the attack connects, Krillin will perform a powerful explosive punch.
Selfless Kamehameha: A stronger form of Krillin's Kamehameha. If you have enough energy, the Super Attack can be pressed again when the attack connects for a second sequence where Krillin puts more power into the attack.
Solar Flare ×100: Krillin performs a Solar Flare attack that lasts twice as long. Just like regular Solar Flare, if sunglasses are equipped, the attack isn't effective.
Solar Flare Fake-out: Krillin prepares for a Solar Flare, but fires a barrage of ki blasts instead.
Destructo Disk Triple Blade: Krillin throws one large disk that splits into 3 smaller disks. Krillin has a small window where he can gaurd or perform strike/blast attacks. Then if the Super Attack input is pressed again within a short time frame, the 3 disks will track the opponent. (If the Kienzan come back at Krillin, he will automatically use Afterimage to dodge them at the cost of some stamina.)
Quick Evade: Krillin creates a purple ki blast and quickly throws it at hid opponent. If it connects, it causes a bit of damage along with a cloud of smoke.
LASTLY...
I agree with more customizable hairstyles, facial features, & clothes! Also Saiyan tails that actually move and wiggle around. I would also like to change the colors of clothing you get from other characters. Like if your CaC is wearing Goku's gi, they can change the orange to yellow. And it would be cool to make a character like Goku wear an alternate color for his gi. And I hope we get transformations for Namekians. I'm pretty sure we will tho since Piccolo got his transformations.
It seems more likely that the reason people aren't talking about krillin's power up is that it's technically non-canon

But, many still don't fully realize that there is a DBS anime continuity & a DBS manga continuity.

The fact that there are two DBS continuities can be confusing enough. But, many popular DB YouTubers & others rarely make a distinction between anime & manga continuities. This has greatly increased the confusion.
Like how ppl in the fandom have been saying that this new Black Freeza wants to get revenge on what Toppo did to him during the ToP... Freeza never had beef with Toppo in the manga continuity. That conflict was only in the anime continuity & many ppl are conflating the two.
So, with that necessary understanding of information, here's why Krillin's power-up is indeed canon.
Is Non-Self State Krillin in the DBS manga continuity? No. Anime only.
Is Super Saiyan Rage in the DBS manga continuity? No. Anime only.
Is the shirtless Super Full Power Jiren in the DBS manga continuity? No. Anime only.
Is Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken in the DBS manga continuity? No. Anime only. (The manga says that a power Goku uses similar, but it us not the Kaio-Ken + the aura is all blue)
Was Super Saiyan Blue Evolution achieved by Vegeta's pride in others in the DBS manga continuity? No. Anime only.
Was Ultra Instinct triggered by Goku's will to survive the Spirit Bomb in the DBS manga continuity? No. Anime only.
Was Kefla defeated by UI Omen Goku in the DBS manga continuity? No.

All of these examples are only in the DBS anime continuity. Many who don't realize the distinct difference in continuity call Krillin's new power "non-canon."
The DBS manga continuity made Krillin get weaker & treated him disrespectfully. Meanwhile, the DBS anime continuity treated Krillin in a far more respectful manner. Also, the anime continuity made Krillin get stronger in a believable way.
And in Super Hero (which takes place in the anime continuity) Krillin displayed how strong he's gotten. Krillin even put in more work than Goten & Trunks combined, more than 18, and Krillin was even more useful than Gamma 1 in some regards. Krillin's involvement greatly assisted in their victory.
But, many in the fandom are quick to dismiss & disregard anything Krillin related. Despite these power-ups not being in the DBS manga continuity, how often do fans dispute if Super Saiyan Rage, Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken, and other anime only transformations are "non-canon"? Instead, fans readily accept every Saiyan transformation & power-up regardless the continuity. So, why don't ppl believe Krillin's power-up is canon? Because the fandom has been conditioned to promote lies & believe lies. They innacuately think of Krillin as a coward & a joke despite the series ALWAYS showing the opposite. Nearly every fighter is used for comedy relief in DB, but they are also extremely skilled fighters.
Also, since ppl have constantly lied about Krillin for so many yrs, many YouTubers and others in the DB community believe that speaking good about him or making in-depth video essays about his power-up in DBS won't result in much revenue nor clicks. So these kinds of videos do not get made by them. These people know that there is more profit in making fun of Krillin despite a character like Vegeta losing more than literally anyone else in the series. And they will give praise & love to a comic relief character like Mr. Satan, but at the same time dis & hate on Krillin for being a "comic relief character." As if only Krillin is a comic relief character when Goku, Gohan, Beerus, & even Vegeta are used for comic relief too.
One thing that bastard Takao Koyama succeded in was warping the perception of Krillin's character to make simple-minded DB fans actually believe that Krillin is weak, cowardly, and only a joke character. Toriyama NEVER wrote Krillin in such a hateful way.
Koyama's odd obsessive hatred for Krillin has been reflected by many in the fandom who obsessively hate Krillin.
All it would take is for 20 or so popular DB "influencers" to consistently make positive content about Krillin for a year and there would be a big change in the fan perception. But, most of these influencers are too afraid to do so because they themselves like following the crowd and making easy money. They'd rather make underhanded jokes about Krillin instead of making multiple videos about Krillin. Like how Krillin is a human who uses his skill and cleverness to fight evil beings with godly levels of power.
Or how Krillin's selfless compassion towards 16, 17, & 18 is why 17 joined the ToP which resulted in the multiverse being saved.

Majority in the fandom refuse talk about Krillin unless they think there is some sort of revenue to be made or attention to gain. And they often make said revenue/gain attention by insulting Krillin in order to prop up another character that is usually a Saiyan. Most of this fandom just refuses to speak about anything good that happens to Krillin. They don't want Krillin positivity, they only want to hear negative things about Krillin & they will create lies to satiate their need for said negativity.
So... Is Krillin's power-up in DBS non-canon or canon? KRILLIN'S POWER-UP IS INDEED CANON.
Majority of this fandom just refuse to acknowledge Krillin's power-up as canon due to the promotion of ignorance + the constant spreading of misinformation in the DB community.
I have a feeling of excitement that my 2 yr old research on Krillin's power-up might actually be turned into a YouTube video. Some YouTubers were talking about it on Twitter (Salad Saiyan & Geekdom101) but it seems that they simply dismissed it. However, Jordan Lee (who does research on Journey To The West & Buddhist connections in Dragon Ball) found out I did research on it.
But I also have that feeling of disappointment since I have @ multiple different YouTubers on Twitter multiple times about my research, but they ignored it for 2 years... Two of those include Salad Saiyan & Geekdom101. But, to give the benefit of the doubt, I will just say they overlooked it when I @ them multiple times and replied to their posts with links to my research.
But if a video gets made, that'll be cool and hopefully help develop more respect for Krillin in the fandom. Out of all the YouTubers, I hope Jordan Lee makes a video about it one day. He's more knowledgeable about Buddhism than I am, so it would be an interesting video.
Seeing that the Dragon Ball Wiki updated some of their info for Krillin's power-up was exciting for me! Why? Because I'm pretty sure that my in-depth research about Krillin's power-up in DBS was a catalyst for this change.

Toriyama explains how DB characters become stronger in an interview.
TLDR; Beings with transformations overcome their limits by transforming into a form that can utilize more ki (Saiyans, Freeza, ect). Beings who cannot transform (Earthlings and other alien races with lower physical limits) overcome their limits by cultivating & raising their ki to higher and higher levels of power. Their progression of power is slower than those with transformations, but with hard work they can surpass most other races.
For a simplistic way to look at it... Earthlings and certain other races like them essentially live life on "Hard Mode" while Saiyans & others are on an easier difficulty.

HOW SAIYANS BREAK THEIR LIMITS
Saiyan breaks their limits through physical transformation; wether it be Oozaru, Super Saiyan forms, or Super Saiyan God transformations.
Contrary to what DB video games show for fanservice & what many fans believe, the truth is that majority of Saiyans cannot turn Super Saiyan due to many, many reasons.
The only transformation that all Saiyans with tails can achieve is the Oozaru/Great Ape form. But even then, there were non-combatant Saiyans who never turned Oozaru (like Beets) and there are even Saiyan combatants who only resorted to transforming into the mindless ape form when it was absolutely necessary to defeat an extra strong race of people.
Without transformations, Saiyans can be surpassed by other aliens & even Earthlings as they have been in the series.
1st Form Freeza > all Saiyans
Krillin, Tenshinhan, Yamcha > 1st form Freeza
Thus, top 3 strongest Earthlings > 99% of Saiyans (not counting Goku, Vegeta, then later Broly who are either a prodigy, a mutant, or raised as an Earthling).
But, Saiyan bodies are capable of getting stronger from intense battles from what fans call "zenkai boosts." Because of zenkai boosts, their obsession for battle, & their Oozaru form, Saiyans are considered to be a warrior race, and that they are. On average, Saiyans were stronger than most other aliens. But, due to their culture's pride being in their strength, they call themselves the strongest race despite Freeza & many other individuals being stronger than them.
Collectively, Saiyans are the strongest race of aliens.
Individually, many other aliens have surpassed & can surpass Saiyans.
HOW MOST ALIENS BREAK THEIR LIMITS
There are transformation-type aliens who are capable of transformation similar to Saiyans, but in a way unique to their own race. These transformations can be for different reasons as well (conserving their power, increasing their power, camouflage, ect). Two examples being Zarbon & Freeza.
Most alien races are born with similar physical strength as Earthlings & don't know how to use ki. But, there are others who are born with the ability to naturally use ki. There are even some aliens who are strong and can fly but cannot use ki blasts, so they use laser guns and other weapons.
It is also very uncommon for most aliens to lower or raise their battle power drastically. One alien who can control their battle power is Captain Ginyu. He was made the leader of Freeza's elite squad because the ability to raise your battle power is a highly valued rarity.
Not only is Freeza capable of transforming, but he also has the ability to raise his strength at will, which is why he values such abilities in his army.
The warrior-clan Namekians & Earthling martial artists also have this ability to control their battle power at will. Freeza found them interesting for a reason on Namek.
Speaking of Namekians, Piccolo has a new transformation. So, it seems that even Namekians are capable of some sort of transformation. Or perhaps it's only for Super Namekians like Piccolo. But, we will have to wait for DBS: Super Hero to explain why & how Piccolo can transform.

It is referred to as Piccolo's "awakening." It's something similar to Gohan's potential unleashed power.
HOW EARTHLINGS BREAK THEIR LIMITS
Earthlings are part of a rare group of beings that can raise their energy without transforming. They are considered weak at first glance, but they have deep understanding of spiritual energy (ki). Earthling martial artists understand how to cultivate their ki and keep increasing their energy in order to surpass their physical limits of power & overcome the power of their opponents. The extremely skilled ones [like Krillin, Tenshinhan, & Yamcha] have increased their ki to powers beyond most aliens.
Androids 19 & 20 even mistook Yamcha for Goku due to Yamcha's battle power being what they over calculated how strong Goku would be at this point (without knowledge of SSJ).
And although it's an extremely rare case & likely the only occurrence ever (so far), Earthlings can spiritually transform as we see with Krillin's Non-Self State.
Earthlings are born at a great disadvantage, but they have greater spiritual capability & spiritual understanding of how to surpass most aliens in the universe.
This is why Saiyan-Earthling Hybrids like Gohan are so powerful. Saiyan abilities with Earthling spiritual/ki potential.
This is also why Goku is so powerful. Saiyan abilities mixed with Earthling understanding of ki.
