Okay, so since the new episode I've seen a lot of something that just doesn't make sense to me, and that's people assuming that Deceit genuinely couldn't imitate Logan properly.
But here's the thing, the way he botched it up? Looks to me like he wanted to be found out.
Throughout the entirety of his first episode we saw him act, at the very least, convincingly, and by that I mean well enough that before we knew what to look for, most of us didn't know something was off (or at least I didn't but I might just be not very bright) and most importantly, Thomas didn't either.
But even with them knowing what to look for, I feel like Deceit is a capable enough actor to have fooled them for at least a few minutes- whereas in the video, he was caught in moments.
No, I feel like he wanted to be caught, and wanted to carry this episode and this debate out as himself, even knowing the bias that would come his way for doing so and how difficult that might make it for him to make his point.
Or maybe I just give him to much credit and he really can't imitate Logan, idk.
