Our anniversary has passed and it was probably the best part of the month for me. It might be because I got to spend it with Freddy, or maybe it's because I got to do something I genuinely enjoyed. With the weather lately, we were worried it would rain and yet, my luck has saved us, as it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days this year. At least, it was to us.
Freddy and I finally went on the cemetery picnic I may or may not have been planning for him for a few months at this point... and it turned out better than I hoped! Even with my haphazard planning. I made stuff up as we went along, going so far as to make some of the food pairings up and just going along with whatever I wanted to do, much to the excitement of my husband as he was brought along for every second of it (I think he just likes that I did something for him yet again).
The cemetery was really nice, and we found a good spot to rest that wasn't too close to the graves and right under a tree that did not provide shade very long as we sat out there for a while. I read a bit more of American Psycho and no, I'm afraid I did not get anymore pictures of my outfit. I completely forgot about that once I started reading and got to another scene with Luis Carruthers, but I do want to show you guys the Freddy kandi bracelet I made sometime.
Most of our time spent there was reading, eating, drinking, and, admittedly, getting a little stoned. I could probably blame that for why I started singing along to my music with Freddy, or maybe it was the wine? I haven't had much, but wine doesn't really get you drunk as far as I can tell. Or maybe I was too inebriated in general to really tell. I just remember us going along with some duet that was playing at some point.
After a while of me reading and drinking, though, I think Freddy got tired of hearing Patrick Bateman describe fashion brands he doesn't know and he ended up falling asleep. I didn't even get to tell him that Patrick is just vain and stupid and instead, just kept reading and listening to some Bob Dylan while also, somehow, getting through half of our bottle of wine. This is probably a good time to bring up some of the foods I brought to the picnic, since picnics are for food.
I made a few things myself, but I will say I did just buy a good bit of the food as well. The wine, obviously, and we had one called 19 Crimes, the red one I guess? Listen, I haven't had a lot of wine, so don't hate me if I didn't think it was anything special. I just wanted to pick something that had a cork and was a red wine, and this one looked cool and the flavor profile as described sounded interesting. It was interesting! It was very bitter, like most wines to me so far, and I had it with some frozen cotton candy grapes in it. They were just there for fun in the end, I think.
After a few more chapters of my book, though, and after my music was starting to get good, I decided to wake Freddy up with some of the desserts we brought. This was kind of the best part. I had macaroons too but I ate those already, but we still had cheesecake and my own little pies! I mostly used pre-made pie ingredients and threw them together, but it still came out great... except for one.
While I wanted three different pies for Freddy and I to have, we only got away with the apple and cherry. That would've been fine, as apple is my favorite and Freddy liked the cherry a lot, we will mourn the loss of the blackberry pie. I'll admit, I made up the recipe, but while all of my other pies turned out totally fine, the blackberry one's all ended up botched. The first one accidentally got eaten because I couldn't tell them apart, then the final other two I could squeeze out all fell apart. Maybe I'll make another, newer blackberry pie sometime soon. in honor of those that could not join us on this picnic.
We honestly had a lot of different food. I made some cucumber sandwiches and we had some fruit salad with honey too and oh, I almost forgot to mention the meat and cheese skewers I made. It was just different salami's and different cheeses. I honestly forget what types of salami they were, but I wrapped them around the cheeses and pinned them in place with toothpicks. The cheeses were pretty good. There was pepper jack, muenster and extra sharp cheddar. I think the only one I didn't like was the extra sharp, but Freddy loved it with the spicy cabrese, if that's the one I remember right.
I had sushi too, Freddy wasn't too interested in trying it though. I guess he's not much of a fan. I had a lot of fun making the food all in all. It all turned out really good and what I bought too was really good. It was all just great. The breeze, the food, the company. I'm going to cherish these memories for a long time to come, I think.
I think this is where I'll leave a little toast to us, to a year of indulging personal interest and realizing just how much fun comes of it. I'll think of this every year to come and I look to every new memory to come in all those new years too. To Fred Krueger, my husband and my muse, for bringing me so much joy through all of my hardest times and continuing to put up with every crazy scenario I put us in. Whether I'm drawing him smoking me out of a bong or taking him on a romantic picnic in the cemetery, I think it all is something special and something I look forward to more of as we grow older.
Life is crazy, things don't always go how you want them to, but when it comes to Freddy, I think that's okay. He's everything imperfection and yet, I love him and I think I'll always love him. He's rotten and mean and he's the only man that has kept me coming back to him every single time. His movies make my nights better, his humor makes me laugh and he's just so damn charming. It's pretty safe to say, I love him madly.
This has been a long time coming, and I'm glad it all went well, maybe even better than I anticipated, but now it's just another memory I have with the man of my dreams. Since this is the end, I think I'll thank anyone that read all the way through this. Maybe it'll inspire you to do something similar or maybe it's just amusing to you. Either way, thank you for taking a bit of time to read through my babbling and I hope you have a good night and sweet dreams!

Sooo, I made selfship rp blogs! If there are any sharing Applesnax12 or Cherishdawn selfshippers/yumeshippers feel free to interact with them!! Just to be clear : romantic, queerplatonic, platonic, and familial selfshippers/yumeshippers are welcome! (The only reason I say sharing is because I selfship with them which means I'm going to make it look like they're interacting with me and I don't want that to make anyone uncomfortable.)
Also, don't worry! I made sure that I won't be using any maintags on these blogs and this is the only post I'm going to make about it. (I'm purposfully making these blogs use the ship tag cherishedapple when talking to/about eachother instead of cherishedapples because I know it's lesser if at all used while the other is the maintag.)
The blogs :

Ren has asked me to go out with them for dinner. I agreed and then he told me “it’s a date.” I’m so confused. Is this another one of their jokes where they act flirtatious for fun?
