A/N: Written quickly, but here’s the nsfw continuation from this. If you don’t want to read the first part, basically Jedi Rey has just saved Senator Kylo Amidala’s life
-
Rey moaned in relief, this was it, this was what she was looking for. His mouth against hers with a kind of pressure that made her want to push right back, to shove him against the wall and devour him. Kylo moaned in return, shifting one hand to pull her waist flush against him, the other cradling her head, adjusting her so that when their lips met again, it was even better. They slid together and parted against each other, tongues intertwining. Her hand wove into his hair, dragging him even closer. He moved with her, wrapping himself around her, both needing to feel each other.
There was no space between their bodies, and yet it still wasn’t close enough. Rey’s hands moved down from his hair to under his robe, quickly pushing it from his shoulders to the floor. He did the same to hers, mouths barely parting from each other, her hands already busy at his waist. She fumbled a few times before successfully undoing his belt, hands eagerly diving beneath his tunic to find his shirt still tucked into his pants.
“Force, how many layers do you wear?” she whined, roughly pulling at his clothing.
“You should talk-” he said, cutting off with a choked moan as her hands finally found his skin.
Rey hummed in pleasure as she felt her way across his chest. He was hot to the touch, smooth skin stretched over firm muscle. His hands floundered on his collar as she traced the lines of his broad torso, until he finally pulled the garment off, tossing it to the floor. Rey quickly took advantage, pushing his shirt up to his neck. His hands returned to her waist, working on her belt, and his clothing become tangled as she tried to take it off of him. With a noise of frustration, Kylo unwrapped her belt, then pulled his shirt and tunic off, discarding them as well.
Rey’s layers quickly fell from her body until they were both bared to the waist, panting. Rey reached up and pulled Kylo down to her again, moaning as they connected. The sensation of being pressed skin to skin with him was intoxicating. They moved against each other unhindered, the heat of their bodies building between them into something greater. She never wanted to stop touching him, couldn’t pull her hands away from running over his back again and again. His touch on her was slower than her frantic need to feel all of him at once; he held her firmly, molding her under his hands. He felt from her shoulder blades to her waist, lingering there before travelling back up her ribs, thumbs caressing the sides of her breasts, then slowly lowering to cup her hips.
Rey eagerly copied him, dropping her hands to the waist of his pants. Kylo tore his mouth from hers, gasping, as she found her way underneath the fabric, and she grinned. She pulled him tighter against her, then slid around to his sides, spreading her hands over his hips, thumbs settling to brush along the crease above his thighs. He pulled back from her, and she gave a noise of protest at losing some of her contact with him. He compromised by leaning over her, burying his head in her neck. She could feel his hot breath against her as his hands drifted beneath the front of her pants.
He cupped between her legs with one large hand and she arched into him, gripping him tightly. His finger parted her folds and slid between them, teasing at her entrance, then trailing up to her clit, circling there. She gasped, biting into his neck as her own hand shifted from his hip to his cock. He gave a strangled shout of her name as she grasped his length and pulled his hands from her pants enough to shove them over her hips.
She attempted to drag her boots off without letting go of him but he winced and pulled her wrist away, threading his fingers in hers. She used him for balance as she kicked off the rest of her clothes. As soon as she was bare, Kylo lifted her into his arms and she wrapped herself tightly around him. He took a few steps backwards with her to the couch along the wall meant for guests and sat heavily down, settling her in his lap. She wriggled closer to him, grinding her hips against his through his pants, and he held her for a moment, head thrown back, hands clamped tightly to her hips.
She moved just far enough away to find the waist of his pants again, her hands working at the fastening holding them closed. His hands took over from hers, quickly undoing the closure and shoving the fabric down enough to free his cock. She rubbed against him, savoring the glide of their skin against each other. He fit between her legs, sliding along her most sensitive parts, and her knees gripped tightly around his hips. His hands guided her, rolling her against him, and she picked up the rhythm, moving faster above him.
One hand left her hip and wedged between them. He returned his fingers to her, sliding against her wetness until they stopped at her entrance. She continued the motion of her hips on his hand, letting him fill her with first one, then two, then three fingers. She was moaning constantly now and he watched her heatedly, his gaze burning her skin. She felt herself building up, rushing towards her crest and she reached between them, tugging on his wrist. He pulled his hand away and slid his fingers in his mouth, eyes still on hers. She grabbed his wrist again and met his mouth with hers as her hand moved down to grasp him, lining his cock up with her entrance.
His mouth left hers as he breached her, watching her face carefully as she took him in. She pressed down slowly, stretching around him, letting him fill her, until she sat against him, panting heavily.
“Okay?” he asked breathlessly.
She kissed him in answer, tongue pushing past his lips, and resumed her rhythm against him. They were both near to the edge already, desperate for one another, and they climbed quickly. Their pace increased, reaching frantic heights. Rey pushed herself against him, relishing every inch of contact, from their mouths clashing haphazardly, to her hands balancing on his broad shoulders, her breasts rubbing against his chest, the friction between their sweat-slicked torsos, his hands cupping her ass, urging her on, and his cock filling her from below.
So close, she was so close, and her nails bit into his shoulders as she rode him. She clenched around him and he hissed, bringing his hand between them to work at her clit. She cried out and went hurtling over the edge, taking him with her.
Their movements slowed to a stop and they rested in each other’s arms, gasping for breath. Her head fell forward to lean against his and she closed her eyes contentedly. She would have been satisfied to stay like that forever, hazy in the glow of the aftermath, bodies entangled in each other. But slowly, the thoughts of their responsibilities filtered back through her mind, and she sighed. Kylo hummed questioningly.
“We should probably get up,” she mumbled.
He groaned, unhappy but resigned to the prospect. She shifted on his lap and groaned at the sensation as he slipped from her. Reluctantly, she slid from his lap, walking gingerly over to where they had discarded their clothes. Kylo remained for a moment longer before getting up, grumbling under his breath.
He was soon back, holding a trio of datapads that he set on the table.
“Join me?” he said, holding out a hand to her.
She straightened, pulling her lightsaber from the tangle of their clothes. She returned to the couch as he sat back down, settling herself next to him with her saber close at hand. He handed her one of the pads and began working on one of the others with the hand that wasn’t wrapped around her. She leaned into his shoulder, bringing up information on the Senate attack on her pad. They would eventually have to get dressed, but for the moment she wasn’t willing to give up the contact.
A/N: I definitely didn’t have time to write this, but here it is anyway
-
Rey stood outside the door and blew out a single, controlled breath, centering herself as she had learned from Master Luke. She had been sent on her first mission, and though it wasn’t exactly a fast-paced assignment, there could be few things more important than protecting the integrity of the New Republic. She straightened her shoulders and pushed open the door.
She took in the room quickly: functional, elegant, with few decorations, and a man sitting behind the large desk, Senator Amidala himself, flicking furiously through a datapad.
“You’re dismissed,” he said, without looking up, before she could introduce herself.
“Excuse me?” she asked, confused.
“I have no need of your services. You are dismissed,” he repeated, still not looking at her.
Something like anger rose in her, but she breathed through it. “I am here from-”
“Luke Skywalker,” he interrupted, finally looking up, “who has sent you under the premise that I need protection, based on the recent threats to my life. I can assure you, that is not the case. Feel free to return to whatever rock he’s hiding on now at your earliest convenience.” He began reading again, clearly considering the conversation to be over.
“Master Skywalker sent me for your protection and to make sure that whoever is making these threats does not interfere with the Senate or the Republic,” Rey said, carefully keeping her voice calm and neutral.
“And I’ve told you, it’s unnecessary,” he said, annoyance crossing his features.
“It might be,” she said, taking a position by the door, “but I’ll be doing it all the same.” She stood and looked impassively into the distance, ignoring him.
He snorted, but returned to his work.
-
It was late that night when the senator finally stood from his desk and stretched, tossing aside the datapad he had been working on.
“Did Skywalker tell you where you were supposed to stay?” he asked her.
She swallowed. “No, I believe he assumed I would be staying with you. To protect you,” she replied.
He rolled his eyes. “Of course he did.” Plucking a few datapads from the pile, he set the rest aside, then walked to the door. “Follow me then.”
“Of course,” she said. He glanced over his shoulder at her, eyebrow raised, but continued walking.
She followed him through his offices and into the streets of the city. He glanced back at her again.
“I never did ask your name,” he said, somewhat gruffly, looking straight ahead.
“Rey,” she answered, smiling slightly.
“Rey?”
“Yes.”
They continued walking. “I supposed you know my name.”
“Yes,” she confirmed. She paused a second. “What should I call you though?”
“Kylo,” he answered. “You apparently intend us to be spending a lot of time together, no reason to stand on formality.”
She nodded. It wasn’t much longer before they arrived at his apartment. He opened the door, gestured for her to enter, then led her through a living area and down a hallway.
He pushed a door open and motioned to the room inside. “You can stay here. Feel free to keep your belongings here for as long as you insist on remaining.” She nodded and he continued. “My room is down the hall. I’ll be leaving for my offices first thing in the morning.”
He turned and walked away and Rey was left in what was going to be her room for the foreseeable future. She glanced around briefly, and when nothing of interest caught her eye, she fell onto the bed, sighing.
-
At first, Rey was on her guard every moment of her mission. She slept lightly, was at Kylo’s door as soon as she was up, and remained there until she had to sleep. Kylo was clearly exasperated with her, repeating to her several times that her vigilance was unnecessary, and she slowly began to think he might be right. There had been several threats on the senator’s life before she arrived, but it seemed they had only been that, threats, never meant to be carried out.
Kylo wasn’t incapable of protecting himself either. He spent much of his time outside of his office and the Senate at the gym, frequently with the intent of working of his frustration he built at the Senate. After a few days spent working with him, Rey could understand why. Listening to endless speeches that accomplished nothing made her want to hit things as well. Long hours of meditation went into her training and she had come to appreciate them, but spending those hours instead watching the governing body of the Republic fail to accomplish a simple trade agreement was a special kind of agony. She watched Kylo, learning more about him and politics than she had ever expected to know, and started exercising with the Force, seeing what she could sense from the room and the city around them, but even that lost its appeal after a couple of weeks.
Kylo’s work meant he was at the gym at odd hours, usually when no one else was around, which Rey thought was likely intentional. She stood to the side as he worked out, observing and idly watching for threats, only allowing herself to take vague interest in the senator’s training. He occasionally tossed curious or annoyed glances at her, until, apparently growing tired of her watching him, he decided to involve her.
“Here,” he said, tossing a pole towards her without warning.
She caught it instinctively and turned it in her hands, surprised as she realized what it was. She looked up to see him holding the wooden weapon he normally trained with at the ready.
“How’d you know?” she asked, as she got into position with the staff he had given her, nodding at the lightsaber on her hip.
“Yes,” she said, narrowing her eyes at him in playful suspicion.
“Very interesting,” he said, grinning.
They took a few practice swings at each other, testing one another’s form. Rey began planning her attack, figuring she would have to restrain herself with him. She was better than average with her saber even among Master Luke’s highest pupils, and though Kylo was clearly trained, it would be too easy for her to accidentally injure him if she didn’t control herself.
Kylo attacked first, lunging at her unexpectedly. She fought back, revising her strategy as she went. Watching him fight on his own was one thing, with a partner, his experience showed in a whole new way. She let herself move more quickly, drawing on her knowledge of the more complex forms and he matched her, increasing his pace. She thrilled at the challenge, the frustration of the day becoming excitement as they exhausted themselves against each other.
Finally, Rey swept Kylo’s legs out from under him before he could move away and he landed flat on his back on the mat. She quickly took advantage of his position, straddling him, restraining his legs with hers, arms pressed against his, and staff against his neck. They were both panting and sweaty and she grinned at him, exhilerated, before rolling off. She held out a hand for him and he took it, letting her help him up.
“Where’d you learn all that?” she asked curiously. “I’ve fought people at the academy that couldn’t come as close to beating me.”
“I’ve trained,” he said vaguely, smiling at her with a mischievous quirk to his lips she hadn’t seen before.
-
Kylo had gotten in the habit of commenting to Rey during Senate sessions, usually in an undertone, or occasionally messaging her. It had earned him several angry glares, especially from senior senators, but he had stared them down until they looked away. Rey had suggested that they might like him better if he acted like he cared what they had to say, but he had said it was hardly worth pretending they had worthwhile contributions if he was just going to point out their idiocy anyway.
“That’s why they dislike me,” he’d continued. “It’s more than that I don’t always pay attention to their worthless speeches. It’s that I don’t fall over myself in awe at their every word.” He scowled. “Even if I did act the perfect sycophant, they were determined to discredit me for years before you came along.”
She was curious, but he hadn’t elaborated, instead returning to the proposal he was reviewing.
Today’s session was different. Kylo had begun with his normal snide remarks, growing steadily less sarcastic and more angry until he had finally fallen silent, lips pressed in a thin line. By the time the day was over, he seemed ready to hit the first person who got in his way as he stormed from the building. Instead of returning to his offices, he made straight for the gym, Rey close behind him.
He strode inside and went directly to his usual area, ignoring the stares of the others around him. Without so much as removing his robe, he took his weapon up, tossing Rey’s to her wordlessly. She silently got in position and he attacked immediately, with none of his usual finesse. His anger made him sloppy, but Rey held off from cutting through his attacks, letting him fight against her. He kept pushing as she continued to return his blows, until he finally broke away with a roar, throwing his weapon to the side of the room. It bounced off the mat and landed on the floor. The gym was silent and those that remained were frozen in place.
Rey nudged Kylo, who was leaned over with his fists curled, panting. He came out of his head and looked around.
“I apologize,” he ground out, before sweeping out of the building as abruptly as they had entered.
Rey went after him, walking quickly to keep up with his long strides. Noticing she wasn’t beside him, he glanced back and slowed his pace.
“I’m sorry,” he said, not looking at her. “I shouldn’t have taken that out on you.”
She shrugged. If she had felt threatened she could have stopped him, with her saber if necessary, and she didn’t doubt he would have stopped immediately if he had actually managed to hurt her. “It’s fine,” she replied. “I think we both needed that.”
He looked at her oddly, but didn’t respond.
-
“Why’d you change your name?” Rey asked curiously. One of the senators had made a comment earlier in the day to Kylo that changing his name wasn’t enough to change his true heritage, and she hadn’t stopped thinking about it since.
“To distance myself from my mother,” Kylo answered, shifting pads around on his desk restlessly, looking for one in particular.
“Your mother?”
“Yes, my mother. Leia Organa.” Kylo found the one he needed and set it forcefully in front of him, running his hand through his hair in frustration.
Rey’s mouth fell open. “Your mother is Leia Organa?”
“Yes. Now you know the worst kept secret in the Senate. And why none of these idiots will listen to me!” Kylo’s voice rose to a shout and he stood up, knocking his chair backward and sweeping a pile of pads off the desk.
Rey wanted to be annoyed at him, but was still too interested in his family. “Why don’t you want to be associated with Leia Organa?”
“Because, I intended to be a senator and leader in my own right, not because of my mother’s influence.” Kylo righted his chair, setting it heavily on the floor, glaring. “And then there was the whole Vader announcement, which rather destroyed the credibility of the Organa name.”
Rey’s brow furrowed. “That’s ridiculous. Senator Organa served the Senate for years before stepping down, she was one of the most influential leaders they ever had!”
“She was. But some people were rather put off by her very close association with one of the most hated men the universe has known.”
“Still, it’s not like Vader was influencing her. She fought for the Resistance, she saved people!”
Kylo raised an eyebrow. “I’m glad you think so. Many disagree.”
Rey huffed, understanding with a new perspective some of Kylo’s irritation with the other senators. “Why Kylo then? Kylo Amidala?” she asked, changing the subject.
“To honor my heritage,” he explained briefly. “I remain proud of it, even if it frightens all those imbeciles.”
Rey nodded, settling back into her position by the door. “You should be,” she said simply.
-
“The time has long since passed,” Kylo’s voice rang out clear and strong throughout the room, “for us to take direct action and condemn the motives and behaviour of the group that calls themselves the First Order. This is a group that has taken military action against several planets, openly mocks and defies the Senate, and seeks to destroy the Republic that we have built. We cannot continue to let this terrorist group operate unopposed. They have attacked the worlds of some of those sitting in this room, and yet we as the Senate have failed to do so much as recognize them as a threat. If we are to continue to function as a Republic, supporting the planets that make up our government, there is no other course open to us than to take action against the forces that threaten us and our people. The bill put before you today proposes the most basic of those actions available to us, including identifying the First Order as an enemy of the Republic and thereby opposing support to this group from any member of the Republic.”
Rey watched in awe as Kylo concluded his speech. Every eye, every camera was focused on him and he shone under the attention. He was right, the Senate couldn’t suffer any longer from the the senators who would talk their way around any argument, pleading for the good of the Republic while helping plan the First Order’s next attack once they left. She could feel them now, furious anger mixing in the room with the excitement and relief of other senators. They were hard to pick out with all the strong emotions from hundreds of senators, but she could have identified several of them even without the Force.
Something else was entangled with the mess of emotions in the room. Savage satisfaction came from several senators whose planets had been affected by the First Order, but something else, something darker lurked. She picked her way carefully through the snarl of conflicting thoughts, discarding the ones she could identify, until there! Not a senator, an assistant, or a guard, how had he gotten in? It didn’t matter, he was angry, but soon he wouldn’t be, he was about to solve all their problems, he was lifting a blaster-
“No!” she shouted, just as he fired. Too late, too late for her to get to Kylo. She reached out with the force, shoving him over, at the same time reaching in the opposite direction for the blast, grabbing it, keeping it in place.
Her eyes had slammed shut to focus, and she gasped, opening them, dreading to see that she had failed, Kylo had been shot-
He was down on the ground, groaning, but he was moving, no smell of burnt flesh or blood. Just surprised then, he hadn’t been hit. She looked out over the Senate where she could still feel the blast she held in place. It was there, frozen in the center of the floor, an angry red beam hissing and spitting in the air. Anger choked her, her vision filling with the same red haze as the blast and she shoved it back towards the attacker, into his weapon.
He had frozen in shock just as she had frozen his attack and he barely had time to react once he realized what was happening. The weapon pulsed once in his hands, and he instinctively tossed it to the side just before it exploded, knocking out the windows and throwing him across the back of the room.
Rey didn’t stay still long enough to watch what happened next. She rushed the few steps to Kylo’s side, kneeling down and turning him over, so he was cradled facing her in her arms.
“Are you okay?” she demanded, one hand running over his face, around his head, and down to his chest, checking that he hadn’t hurt anything when he fell, that there hadn’t been another attack she had missed.
“Fine, I’m fine,” he said, slightly dazed. “Rey, what happened?”
“Someone shot at you,” she said, hand still running over him. “I’m sorry, I should have noticed them sooner. I was too late, I just had to get you out of the way, I’m sorry-”
“Rey, I’m fine,” he told her, looking into her eyes and catching her hand. “You did it, you saved me. I’m fine.”
Rey nodded, feeling a lump in her throat as she bent over him, leaning her head on his chest for a brief moment. It hadn’t even been a second, but there had been a point in time when she had thought she had lost him, and it was more than she knew how to bear.
Clearing her throat, she sat up. “Come on, let’s get you back to the apartment,” she said, helping him up with a hand on his back.
Kylo’s eyes cleared. “But the vote,” he protested, stumbling to his feet.
“I don’t think that’s going to happen today,” she said wryly, looking out at the chaos taking place in the chamber.
He looked out as well. The attacker was swarmed by guards, and there were senators panicking and fleeing in all directions. Some remained calm, others had already begun dictating speeches to their assistants. Rey watched him as he took in the room with resignation. It was clear order was not about to be restored anytime soon, and there was sure to be a thorough investigation of the attack before the Senate reconvened tomorrow.
“Probably not,” he sighed. “It’ll have to be tomorrow though, any longer and the attacker will have succeeded in what he came to do in the first place. I’ll need to message-” he winced and raised a hand to the side of his head.
“What’s wrong?” she asked quickly.
“Nothing,” he said. She raised an eyebrow at him. “You’re right, nothing of use is going to happen here for the rest of the day. We’ll go back to my offices.”
Rey narrowed her eyes at him, but walked with him as he left, staying much closer than she normally would. Outside was somehow even more of a mess. The Senate was streaming from the building and though the cameras had ensured that everyone knew what had happened, now they all wanted to know why and how and who. Several people spotted Kylo and rushed towards him. He ignored them all, and a couple of well-placed glares from Rey were enough to send them on their way.
The adrenaline was still in her veins as she made her way through the city with Kylo close by her side. Rey’s composure was beginning to fail by the time they made it through the door of his office. When she turned to Kylo, she saw he was slightly shaken as well, his normally impassive features showing signs of worry.
To her surprise, he wrapped her in his arms before she could even reach for him. She hugged him back, burying her head in his chest. He tucked his head against hers, nose nestled in her hair. She breathed deeply into his chest, inhaling his scent. She hadn’t even realized how well she had come to know it, surrounding her in his office and his apartment, becoming comforting to her. Her breathing slowed as they held each other and she could feel him relax against her.
Slowly, he pulled back and looked down at her and she met his eyes. They made her catch her breath, filled with emotions she didn’t know how to identify. Her heartbeat began building up again, pounding faster her chest, and she knew she wanted something that was just out of reach.
Kylo’s eyes flicked downward and, instinctively, hers did the same. His lips were slightly open, breathing more shallow than it had been before. She shifted one hand from around his back to curl around his neck and his eyes met hers in surprise. There was a beat as they leaned even closer, breath mingling, and then their lips crashed together.

A/N: Because I have no self-control, there will probably be more of this Sunday-ish.
Edit: As promised, now with a nsfw continuation here
