Never Too Late To Follow Your Talent

Bronx Library Center featured the Parkchester Enhancement Program for Seniors’ (PEP) impressive artwork. PEP is a lively center that goes out of their way to help senior residences of the Bronx. The center provides numerous services from health, social work, volunteer opportunities and recreational activities. These local talents emerge through the guidance and encouragement of PEP’s art instructor, Evelyn Ray. The exhibition featured paintings, prints, sketches and diorama of nine artists. Each piece enriched with their memories, culture, pleasantries, and spiritual therapy.

This small exhibition inspires the Bronx in a big way. The collection of art is a showcase of the community, the hope and the process of artistic expression while appreciating overlooked individuals.
