i could just make things up but also i absolutely cannot make things up and now i have to understand inda's caste system in order to pick a town to do textile trade with. none of this is relevant to the plot. normal writerly behaviors.

Realized I'm basically creating a fake Wikipedia page for the fake city this novel takes place in. Okay.
realized earlier that a good portion of the problem i'm having with my personal writing is that my antagonists are hugely under developed. me. the person who loves villains. has under developed villains. what the hell man. anyway. time to make these guys so cool. i need villain apologists to wet themselves over these guys. i need fans to go "muder? what murder?" over them. i need it.
all my fucking notes documents are named shit like

Oh I forgot to tell you guys. Sunday night riiiight before I fell asleep, I swear I felt something physically click in my brain and I figured out a big plot problem I've been having. Half asleep squinting at my phone scrambling to get it in my notes app and immediately forgot about it until later the next day. Perfection.
I love putting details into the construction of my story that 1 will probably never see the light of text, and 2 no one but me will notice. This is simultaneously sincere and sarcastic a statement. However! Working out all these tiny details are in fact helping me build the characters so. Let's not deride world building.
the point of this story is to 1) put Annah into Situations, and 2) objectify the fuck out of Leftherios
i'm experiencing..the same fucking problem. I have experienced before.
