of glamorous appearances and intrigues
Summary: One shot sequel to Umbrella Man.
Everyone is here for the infamous Takemichi Hanagaki.
And enticing him to join in their own gang has proven to be difficult than they initially thought.
Characters: Senju K., Takemichi H. & I. Wakasa
Draken watched warily the surroundings around them. His face and stomach still hurt like fucking hell after he was punched like a sack of potatoes by that bastard Terano. Nevertheless, that was the least of his worries and his major concern now was the nervous, scrawny blond beside him as every gang leader present here wanted to swoop Takemichi right away into their gang once they managed to convince him to join their team.
Fuck, their crybaby hero was always a magnet for trouble and dangerous people.
He can’t even imagine the clusterfuck that they’ll have to face if Mikey and his gang arrives here all of a sudden.
The tension has gotten too thick now that one could sliced it with a bread knife once the gang leader of Brahman and the top 2 of the three deities, Kawaragi Senju, has arrived here with a dramatic entrance of landing a solid kick to the face of Terano after distracting him of his flying umbrella.
Served him right. That fucking bastard.
Draken glanced at Takemichi with a neutral expression on his face. The poor boy was getting more nervous and bewildered by the events unfolding in front of him. He needed to remind him to keep his shit together and refrain from making any sudden, impulsive decisions that he may predictably regret in the end. However, before he could even speak to him, a loud smacking sound into the ground had caught his attention and his eyes landed on Shion being plummeted by a severe punch of another newcomer that made Draken instantly cautious and alert.
“You’re a disgrace to Black Dragon! So, cut that shit already!” The man yelled ferociously to Shion who was sporting a chin strap style beard.
Draken could see that Takemichi flinched from the corner of his eyes.
“That’s Benkei-kun, from the First Gen.” Inui’s stated calmly and he stored it from the back of his mind.
Well, they’re in deep shit. And it doesn’t really help that the added unwanted guests who kept coming into this fray made his hackles rose.
Draken guessed that he had no choice but to fight their way out of this one. A wide grin crossed his features and readied his body into a fighting stance.
“Its been a while since this engine has gotten heated up! Let’s get this party started!”
Takemichi blinked a few times as he stared at Senju who already stood up to his full height while holding his umbrella calmly and stared at Terano with a blank expression on his face.
“Hold on. This little guy…Is Brahman’s boss?” Takemichi mumbled to himself, a slight look of disbelief and confusion marring his youthful features.
Takemichi knew that he shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and underestimate the people around him. He already learned it the hard way from his past experiences. Nevertheless, it still took him by surprise sometimes on how could a small and young-looking person could pack a certain punch to his knuckles and deliver a roundhouse kick that would send them into a fitful sleep.
It made Takemichi wary yet intrigued by this innocent looking gang leader of the Brahman. He surmised that his deep-seated eyes and ingenuous features had somewhat landed him in being underestimated by the other gangsters who doesn’t know what he’s capable of.
Just like with Shion who was now questioning his presence and capabilities.
But before he could even mull about it for any longer, his attention was fully caught when someone just socked Shion directly into his face that made him fall down like a ragdoll into the ground. The newcomer made him flinched and grimaced in an instant as he looked at them with wide eyes.
“Senju! Brahman is not here today to brawl! Our objective is Hanagaki Takemichi!” The man berated Senju harshly.
“You’re so loud Benkei.” Senju replied dispassionately, unaffected by the man’s infuriating voice directed at him.
“Oh yeah! I’ve completely forgotten it too! They’re here to scout me…But why?” Takemichi tried to rattle every possibility inside his brain for a reason why most of them wanted to recruit him to their own gang suddenly.
“If Takemichi wishes to return to the world of delinquency…He belongs to us, Rokuhara Tandai!” Kakucho announced firmly after he landed a solid punch to Benkei and sent him flying into the corner.
“Kaku-chan!” Takemichi exclaimed in disbelief as his thoughts were cut off by his sudden action and bold announcement.
“Right Takemichi?” Kakucho looked at him square in the eye.
“Uh! Um…” Takemichi replied intelligently. His face was bewildered yet conflicted at the same time.
Does he really need to choose here? Right now? But how could he know if he made the right decision of accepting an offer from one of these gangs? Won’t he regret it in the end?
Takemichi could feel his mind was about to explode from the onslaught of rapid thoughts and information. Quick decision making was never his strong suit and he can probably make a goddamn mistake again from the pressure of this tense situation.
Senju was quiet and was still sporting an unflappable expression on his face despite the bold attack and claims of Kakucho. But his eyes narrowed imperceptibly and his grip tightened on his umbrella. A slight dislike wormed its way to his very being as he watched Kakucho tried to convinced Takemichi to join them by putting him on the spot. He could sensed the waves of conflicting emotions radiating off Takemichi as he tried and failed to give a proper response.
At times like this, they also had to draw out their trump card to neutralize the situation and gain Takemichi’s hand and favor. He wouldn’t let the other gangs swept Takemichi off of his feet and win him over. He’d have to play every trick on this game to outsmart them and win this blond who possessed those electrifying blue eyes which could be their weapon against them. Senju gave a subtle glance to Akashi to which the latter understood and signaled for their top executive to enter the scene.
“This gets the blood pumping, doesn’t it, Waka?” Akashi stated with a lazy grin on his face.
“No, it doesn’t.” A young man suddenly appeared behind Kakucho which made him surprised and fell backwards.
“When did you—?”
“If I cared enough, this guy wouldn’t be standing alive.” Wakasa cut him off with a bored look etched into his face.
‘These monsters come out one after another!’ Takemichi thought incredulously.
“Hey! Don’t just appear glamorously out of nowhere Waka!” Benkei yelled furiously.
“I’m just following Senju’s orders.” Wakasa replied nonchalantly.
A series of murmurs and mutterings then erupted from the other gangsters who were also bystanders from the corners.
Nevertheless, Wakasa tuned them out as his disinterested gaze landed on the infamous Hanagaki Takemichi.
So, this was the one huh?
The notorious morale weapon of the Touman gang in the past.
There was nothing exceptional to this man and he possessed a face that he could probably forget after 2 days of meeting him. Nevertheless, despite his scrawny appearance and the fearful stance in front of them, Takemichi’s eyes caught him the most. It was the shade of a perfect blue that reminds of peaceful skies in the Spring. It’s also expressive and open that he could read every emotion and obvious thought from them. He gleaned that Takemichi was an honest and sincere type of guy.
A refreshing breathe of fresh air into their world that’s full of ragtag delinquents and decrepit liars.
Wakasa casually made his way towards the scrawny blond and crossed his personal space, staring at him intently in the eye.
“Hanagaki Takemichi. We’re here to scout you. Join us, will you?” Wakasa stated in a detached voice as he continued to study the multitude of expressions that flit across his face from his statement alone.
Takemichi stepped backwards, taken aback by Wakasa’s sudden proximity around him and his intense stare. He swallowed thickly as he looked back at him hesitantly. The top executive was sporting a bland yet expectant look on his face as if waiting for his confirmation to join them instead. His long, ponytailed locks that have some streaks of highlights reminded him of Kazutora’s style and his dead yet intense stare reminded him of Sanzu.
A shiver ran down his spine.
He just oozes danger and trouble yet Takemichi can’t tear his eyes away from him as if he was briefly captivated by those intense eyes that was boring right into his soul.
An imperceptible sigh broke him out of his strange trance and he turned his attention to Senju who was looking at them with an indifferent expression on his face.
Senju pursed his lips as his line of sight caught Wakasa invading the personal space of the blond, a flare of annoyance started to creeped into his veins before he inwardly sighs and clamped it down.
Now was not the right time to pay attention to these odd yet irritating sensations that were engulfing his brain.
“Don’t scare him like that Waka. Our main goal is to scout Takemichi.” Senju stated bluntly.
Wakasa stepped away from him. But his gaze lingered on Takemichi for a few seconds before he trained his attention to Senju. “Right. I understand. Sorry if I’m coming out too strong for you Takemichi.”
Takemichi chuckled nervously before he stepped beside Inui, trying to calm down his stuttering heart.
What the hell was happening to him?
“Hanagaki. Those are the living legends. Waka and Benkei. They’re the best duo from the 1st Gen Black Dragon! And then, 1stGen Vice President, “The God of War” Akashi Takeomi. This is…The founding members of 1st Gen Black Dragon.” Inui informed him calmly.
Takemichi absorbed Inui’s words, digesting them inside his head. So, this was the generation led by Mikey’s brother, Shinichiro Sano. And now, these living legends were being led by the mysterious deity in front of them and was coined the “Unmatched Kawaragi Senju.”
With Senju leading these men in the front, it already gave him an idea of how immensely powerful this enigmatic man in front of him. And it made his curiosity peaked around—
“What the hell are you guys hyping each other for?”
Draken’s loud voice cut off his wandering thoughts and looked at him with a befuddled expression on his face.
“Should we continue where we left off?”
Before Takemichi can get a word in, Draken was was already challenging Terano again to a fist fight and cracking his knuckles, a vicious grin was present on his face.
“W-what is going on now?” Takemichi stammered as he could feel his soul leave out of his body.
Were they seriously going to fight now?!
Meanwhile, Wakasa and Senju watched Takemichi from afar, his anxious flailing made them amuse and fascinated.
They both know that getting this blond into their gang would make things more interesting and they’ll make sure to win him over to their team by any means necessary.
(A/N: I don’t own any of these characters from the franchise. Only this insane fic of mine. Apologies in advance if some of them are OOC especially the new ones as I tried to make them in character. Wakasa only appeared in the few panels of the manga but I tried to connect his characterization basing from his few dialogues and behavior to this fic of mine. This was inspired by the events of chapter 213 of the manga. Chapter 213 was funny and wild. The boys are fighting over Takemichi and wants a piece of him. And ofc. The glamorous appearance of the cool yet distant Wakasa has haunted my shipping ass and couldn’t resist adding him to Takemichi’s harem. So, what’s the appropriate ship name for this newborn ship? Wakamichi or Wakatake? Or you have something cooler ship name in mind? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section.)
sentake!!
the princess who protected her hero
Title: the princess who protected her hero
Summary: Because life wasn’t a fairytale where the hero always protected the people.
Characters: Hanagaki "Takemitchy" Takemichi, Kawaragi Senju, Matsuno Chifuyu, Tachibana Hinata
(A/N: I don’t own this franchise. Only this pain and angsty fic on this site that Ken Wakui probably camps at for inspiration on his tragic and angsty fate of his characters).
She slung her bag on her right shoulder and walked out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang, and their last class was dismissed for the day. Senju stared straight ahead as she walked quietly through the school corridors going out of the academy. The sun was already setting slowly, painting the skies in soft tangerine hues that lent a dusky, melancholic vibe along the surroundings.
Senju walked aimlessly. Her steps were steadfast, yet her feet don’t know where to go.
It’s been a few days since the battle of the three deities had happened.
Yet she hadn’t visited Takemichi in the hospital yet. Not even once.
Uncharacteristically, she was overcome by her own humiliation and cowardice. Takemichi’s beaten up and bruised body in front of her that day reminded her of her own failure as a leader.
She failed to protect Draken who was under her care and a great asset to Brahman.
She failed to stop the unexpected war to happen that day between the three of them.
She failed to defeat South.
She failed to defeat Mikey.
But most of all…
…she failed to protect Takemichi to whom she’d sworn to protect in return.
He protected her from that gunshots.
But what did she do?
She just watched helplessly as Mikey beat him to death unable to do anything worthwhile or useful that day.
The only thing that she could do at that moment was to kneel at him and begged for him to stop by disbanding her own gang and declaring their own lost.
If anyone will say that it was enough, she will beg to differ. She knew that no one could stop Mikey that day. No amount of reasoning could stop a beast like him who was cloying with murderous intent on people who would get in his way. And if she didn’t disband Brahman back then for sure they will be absorbed by Mikey’s gang upon their lost and she couldn’t protect the other members from God knows what they’re about to do with the defeated gang under their territory.
So, this was for the best…even if it cost her own dream of becoming the top delinquent in Japan.
She could feel her eyes glistened, but she quickly controlled and tamped out her overwhelming emotions. No. She wouldn’t cry. Not anymore.
Senju stopped in the middle of the street, debating within herself if she should visit him or not.
She tried to push her spiraling thoughts away and proceeded to walk towards the hospital where Takemichi was currently confined at. Upon reaching the inside of the sterile building, she inquired one of the nurses manning the nurses’ desk on which room he is currently confined at.
“May I ask for your name and what is your relationship with the person currently confined at room 406?” The nurse asked calmly as her eyes didn’t leave the screen of the computer and continued typing from the keyboard.
Senju hesitated for a brief fraction of second before she simply settled on a safe answer. “I’m Kawaragi Senju and Hanagaki’s friend and classmate in the academy…” Which was both true and a lie since she was his first friend who was the same age as her but at the same time was also a lie since he wasn’t her classmate in the high school that he’s studying at.
“Okay. Room 406 is located at the left hallway after you walk straight ahead of the corridor.” The nurse replied simply.
“Thank you.” She uttered as she followed her words and proceeded to walk along the corridors going through his designated room. Senju felt her nerves were fraying and her pulse skyrocketing inside her veins.
Why was she feeling anxious and nervous suddenly?
Ignoring the apprehension building up within her, she focused on walking ahead and finally stopped upon reaching the room he was confined at, staring at the room number embossed on the door.
The room was ajar, and she was about to enter when she heard voices conversing inside that made her froze and her mind went blank all of a sudden.
“It’s your fault that Draken-kun is…!” A male voice exclaimed in agony and misery before his eyes grew wide and clamped a hand towards his mouth to stop himself from saying things that he might regret later.
“I’m sorry, Takemitchy…” He muttered, unable to look at him directly.
“It’s okay Chifuyu. It’s all my fault.”
Senju clamped both of her hands into her mouth as silent tears finally escaped her eyes upon hearing those words from Takemichi’s lips and seeing his current, pitiful state for the first time ever since the terrible incident had happened.
Other words and dialogues seemed to bypass her hearing and mind as she could only stare in miserable silence on what he had become.
However, she was jostled out of her thoughts when she heard the blond visitor stood up and was about to leave his room that made her scrambled on her feet and quickly hide in one of the partitions at the right wing of the hospital that said fire exit. Senju just closed her eyes and leaned against the wall as she listened to the faint conversations outside.
“Matsuno-kun…” A woman’s voice greeted her line of hearing. “You’re going home already? I’ve just finished replacing the flowers.”
“It’s all right Hina-chan.” The male stated simply as he walked away.
Senju’s eyes flew open upon hearing the woman’s name and cautiously peeked from the partition. Hina-chan? From what she remembered about the rumors from some of the delinquents before, Hina was the given name of Takemichi’s childhood sweetheart.
She had strawberry blond hair that was currently pinned up and a soft fringe that magnify her innocent face and beautiful eyes. She looked like a beatific angel holding the vase of flowers while she observed Takemichi from the small window of his door.
The sight was like a harsh slap to her back into the reality. A bittersweet smile hovered around her lips.
Right. Her presence wasn’t needed here anymore since there’s someone who could take care of him.
And it wasn’t her.
Also, if she showed her face right of her what would she say? Sorry for failing to protect your boyfriend and his deceased comrade back then because I’m a terrible leader?
Just the mere sight of Takemichi’s deathly state inside the hospital and hearing him validating other people’s thoughts of being at fault was enough to make her stay to where she was right now, unable to face him without her breaking down in front of him because of her guilt and wretchedness.
No. She didn’t want to face Takemichi this way.
She promised to him before that she will protect him, and she doesn’t back on her promises. Takemichi was her first real friend and she’ll be damned to fail him once again.
Amid her tears that streamed down her face, she remembered Wakasa’s words to Takemichi back then at the war.
“Hanagaki. Take care of Brahman’s princess.”
“No Waka. This time it’s my turn to do that to Hanagaki.” She whispered to herself.
Because life wasn’t a fairytale where the hero always protected the people.
There came a time that the hero needs to be protected too.
And even if she’s fading in the background of his life, the princess will fulfill her goal of protecting her own hero this time around.
(A/N: Now I need more Senju flashback and content from her own point of view and not just from the other people such as Takeomi. Damn. The sacrifice she made… It reminded me of Yuzuha’s self-sacrificing tendencies to the people that they care about. My queens being in pain but growing as a character is what I live for. Chapter 234 is a soap opera drama between besties who had a misunderstanding. Reviews are amusing so let me hear them from you).
crystal clear
Summary: One shot sequel to, "of glamorous appearances and intrigues"
“So that’s Hanagaki.” Senju fixed him with an attentive look as if witnessing something foolish yet radiant at the same time.
Wakasa still looked apathetic and disinterested at the unfolding events in front of him. But he knew that upon hearing Takemichi’s resolute words and clear objectives, it made him want to laugh at his idiotic brazenness yet he can’t tear his eyes away from the compelling beauty of his bravery hiding underneath his gawky and jittery appearance.
—Or how they’ve looked at Takemichi like he brought out the shining light to a dark place of chaos beyond them.
Characters: Takemichi H., Draken R., Senju K., I. Wakasa
In the middle of the impending war and traffic jam, Takemichi decided that he needed to put a stop to this mess. Or maybe he unexpectedly started it since Terano was looking at him like he wanted to crush an insect while the other gangsters surrounding them gaped at him as if he had lost his goddamn mind.
“I have no interest…Neither in Brahman, nor Rokuhara Tandai! I am only here to defeat Kantou Manji Gang’s leader, Sano Manjirou!” Takemichi bellowed with a determined look on his face. His blue eyes shining in temerity and boldness.
Whispers and murmurs erupted from the onlookers around them.
“I see. So that’s why you’re here.” Kakucho stated calmly.
“Are you insane?! Are you trying to interfere with the three deities?! A small fry like you?!” Terano yelled at him furiously, blocking his path with his imposing stature and wrath.
Takemichi kept his firm stance in front of him even though Terano’s imposing figure made him want to back down and stepped away out of reflex.
A punch suddenly went flying into Terano’s direction where the latter barely managed to dodged it with his arm blocking his body. But the sudden punch still sent him flying into the other side of the path.
Did he just got hit?!
“If you want to get to Takemitchy, you have to go through me!” Draken shot a proud smile at Takemichi’s direction before regarding Terano with a challenging yet mocking grin on his face.
“Come on, let’s begin round two!”
“Viiivo!” Terano yelled with a wide grin on his face before he ran towards Draken’s direction.
However, the loud sirens of the police cars halted their movements and looked around sharply.
“The cops?!” Takemichi cried, his eyes widening in surprise and panic.
“Tch. Let’s settle this some other time, Draken.” Terano stated in half disappointment and a matter of fact voice.
“South! I had left the old me in the Tokyo Manji Gang! I’ll never join Rokuhara Tandai!” Draken bellowed.
Terano didn’t deign him with a response and continued walking away from him.
‘You never change Draken. Your heart will always be with Toman.’ Takemichi inwardly thought with a small smile on his face.
As Draken and Takemichi watched Kakucho and the other members of their gang followed Terano away, Akashi called Draken’s attention and went towards his direction.
“Akashi?”
“Sorry for just standing quietly.” Akashi uttered as he patted Draken’s shoulders lightly before walking past him.
Draken watched him go although he could sensed Takemichi’s surprised and bewildered look into their direction.
He inwardly sighed. One of the reasons why he didn’t tell Takemichi earlier about his involvement with the Brahman gang was that he didn’t want Takemichi getting into another dangerous fray again. Knowing Takemichi, he wouldn’t hesitate to jumped onboard into the dangerous world of delinquency again once he knew everything. It’s already alarming itself that Takemichi still wanted to find and save Mikey despite him warning that Mikey had already changed and won’t hesitate to kill him if he decided to interfere and be a nuisance towards him.
But he guessed that Takemichi doesn’t operate like the other people. He was stubbornly firm about his beliefs and actions especially towards the people that he cared about the most. And maybe that’s one of the reasons why he’s also fond of their crybaby hero regardless of him being an awkward, lanky lad.
As Mikey had noted in the past, he may not be dexterous in a fight but he doesn’t give in easily to his opponents. He’s strong in his own way. And Draken wanted to protect him.
Takemichi had already saved his life in the past and now was the right time to return the favor to him and protect his future.
His short, wavy locks danced along the soft breeze of air. In the midst of the growing chaos around them, Senju was transfixed to the unflinching blond in front of them.
Takemichi was spouting some bold claims of not joining either of the two gangs and instead has the goal of defeating Manjirou Sano, the leader of the Bonten gang and one of the three deities.
“So that’s Hanagaki.” Senju fixed him with an attentive look as if witnessing something foolish yet radiant at the same time.
Senju didn’t know whether to laugh or raised an eyebrow at that imbecilic yet strong-willed goal of the blond.
Nevertheless, he finally got to witness one of Takemichi’s display of firmness and relentless attitude. No wonder the people around him always compared him to the late Shinichiro Sano. He’s physically weak in fighting but he’s great at drawing and motivating the people around him with his firm words and actions. Takemichi’s charisma was showing when the situation needed him to be determined and unyielding to the pressure in front of him.
While Draken was still busy defending Takemichi against Terano, he made his way towards the rattled blond and looked at him in the eye.
Takemichi yelped and he almost fell down to the ground since he was taken aback by Senju’s sudden appearance in front of him. But he quickly regained his footing and stood firm on his spot.
“E-excuse me?” Takemichi stammered, a complete opposite of his resolute self a while ago.
Senju’s lips curled upwards, his eyes dancing in hidden amusement beneath his penetrating gaze. Before Takemichi could backed away and protest, he leaned closer and whispered something into his ear.
“How bold of you Hanagaki to expressed a brave claim like that. You don’t fail to surprise people and mess with their heads.” His voice came out low, deep and throaty with his warm breath fanning against Takemichi’s senses. It made the blond’s eyes widen briefly and his heart sped up quickly.
“Eh? W-what do you m—?” His words were cut off when Senju pulled away and walked past him like it was nothing.
Senju had a feeling that this was not the last time that he’ll encounter the interesting blond and he will look forward to it.
Takemichi could only stare at his retreating form, unable to form a coherent sentence with the sudden close encounter with him. He was still trying to calm his stuttering heart inside his chest.
Why did Senju never failed to make him feel like that?
In spite of his small stature and seraphic features, he has the power to intimidate and draw the attention of people to him. His charisma and power reminded him of Mikey. The only difference was that he was sporting a calm and placid expression most of the time, he didn’t really see him sporting another expression on his face aside from the mild annoyance that he felt towards Shion earlier when the man questioned his presence there contemptuously.
He was a complete mystery to Takemichi.
Yet at the same time he felt like he was also figuring him out.
Takemichi just watched him go, unable to say anything in spite of his own heart wanted to tell otherwise.
His bored gaze slide through Senju who whispered something to Takemichi that made the blond shaken not out of fear but out of surprise and incredulity.
Senju can be that dramatic sometimes. Nevertheless, Wakasa narrowed his eyes at their proximity and the blond’s flustered reaction towards him, making him fold his arms across his chest and lips turned into a thin line.
He’s not the only one who can make him feel like that.
After watching Terano and Draken’s anticlimactic end of almost brawling with each other with a bored expression on his face, Wakasa sauntered towards Takemichi’s direction who’s panicking again at the thought of cops making their way to them.
It’s both exasperating and amusing really. His reaction is akin to an ordinary citizen living here. He’s definitely an oddball to their world of delinquency.
“Yo, Takemichi.” He drawled out lazily as he played on the lollipop stick at the side of his mouth.
“Oh, h-hey.” Takemichi smiled nervously at him.
“You got some guts making a speech like that earlier. You busted your head or something?” He tilted his head to the side and looked at him casually.
“Ah, that one. I guess it can’t be helped since I’m not exactly sure on how to de-escalate the situation without resorting to something crazy.” Takemichi rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
Wakasa put both of his hands into his pockets before he leaned closer and looked at him straight in the eye. “Hmm. Just to let you know Takemichi, our goal is still to get you onboard before anything else and we won’t give that up easily until you say yes got it?” His penetrating gaze bored into his soul.
“W-well you s-see—.”
“We’re leaving too!” Akashi announced loudly, making Takemichi stopped midsentence as it caught his attention.
“Tch.” Wakasa stepped away and flashed him a lazy smirk before he turned around and retreated back with Akashi and the other members of their gang.
Takemichi swallowed thickly and watched Wakasa go away with wide eyes.
What the hell was that all about?
That guy’s a damn ninja. Takemichi swears that one day he’ll have a heart attack just because of Wakasa sneaking up on him.
Wakasa is the epitome of trouble and silent disaster but Takemichi couldn’t bring himself to backed away from him completely.
And why is that?
Was it because of his laidback yet strong stature? His lazy yet sinister voice? Or was it those eyes that could penetrate his soul and bring him into a void?
“Takemitchy! Inupi! We’re leaving as well!” Draken called over their attention, cutting off his wandering thoughts and raced back towards Draken and his motorcycle.
For now, Takemichi decided not to think too much about his encounters with the powerful members of the Brahman as he had more pressing matters that he needed to focus on such as Draken suddenly dropping a verbal bomb in front of him while they we’re driving away.
“Takemitchy, I’m sorry. There’s something big I gotta tell you. I’m currently a member of the Brahman.”
Takemichi’s thoughts grinded into a screeching halt and stared at him like he had grown two heads.
“Huh?”
It wasn’t even the end of the day and the unexpected turn of events kept surprising him.
Nevertheless, he knew that Draken’s got a lot of explaining to do and he’d welcome it no matter how long it was.
(A/N: I don’t own any of these characters from this franchise. Inspired by the events in chapter 214 of the manga. Or in another chapter of Takemichi’s harem and the boys fighting over him lmao. Takemichi had enough of them fighting and laying his individual rights thick on the ground like the cute badass he is. Senju and the others are in pure awe of him. Draken defending our crybaby hero like the great knight he is. Reviews are amusing. So, let me hear them from you.)
You’re my Gofer!
Summary: One shot sequel to crystal clear.
Takemichi’s brain short circuited at the sight that greeted his eyes.
When Akashi mentioned to him yesterday that he should be prepared, he wasn’t expecting this kind of surprise.
Characters: Takemichi H. Draken R. & Senju K.
Takemichi swallowed thickly and clenched his fists as he watched the growing tension between Draken, Akashi and Senju.
While he understood and appreciated Draken’s overprotectiveness and not wanting to involve him in the world of delinquency again, Takemichi also realized that joining the Brahman will make him reached his goal faster of defeating Mikey and preventing him of going down the path of the terrible ending that was waiting for him in the future.
He can’t be indecisive now.
‘If I don’t make any decisions now, then nothing will change!’ Takemichi thought firmly.
“Draken-kun. I’ll join Brahman!” He announced resolutely.
“Huh?!” Draken looked taken aback by his decision.
Draken just took a one look at his face and he knew that he can’t really stop Takemichi no matter what he does. He’s just as stubborn as Mikey. Or even more so. This was what he actually fears when Takemichi knew everything. Takemichi will join the fray regardless if its dangerous or not. He knew that Takemichi was an adult that can make his own decisions but fuck, he didn’t want him to risk his life for Mikey or anyone of them ever again.
There’s a great future waiting for him back there but he still chose to go back here into the past to fix everything. Again. He just hoped that it’ll be all worth it in the end.
“Draken… As much as Brahman wants to stop Kantou Manji Gang…”
Akashi’s voice cut off his racing thoughts and looked pensively on the ground. “There’s no way we want to fight Mikey.”
“That’s why we need both of you, the very people whom Mikey trusts. Facing him without getting in a fight would be for the best. Please understand.” Akashi replied seriously.
Draken pondered over his words.
The pelting of the raindrops from the above had ceased and the sky grew clearer afterwards. It didn’t go unnoticed by Senju who moved his umbrella from the side and stared up at the sky.
“Oh, it stopped raining.” There was a certain look into his eyes as he stared up at the small puffs of white clouds that’s beginning to show itself. Funny, how the sky grew clearer and the weather became calmer after Takemichi had accepted their offer of joining their gang.
Was he a secret weather magician too? Takemichi could spread his sunshine and brightness even to the gray clouds beyond them. A slight curved of his lips turned upwards at the mere thought.
Draken sighed in defeat as he looked over at Takemichi’s determined face. “Well, that’s Takemitchy for ya. Keep in mind that the only reason we’re cooperating with Brahman is because of our aligning goals.” He said firmly.
“…Got it.” Takemichi replied.
“Don’t you forget about that. Welcome to Brahman, Takemitchy.” Draken smiled at him and offered his hand in front of him.
Takemichi took his hand, enveloping it in a gentle yet firm handshake. “I will definitely bring Mikey back!”
Draken could feel the callouses on his hands, a sign of the hardships that he already went through in saving all of them. And yet he could also sensed the warm sincerity beneath them, engulfing him in a state of reassurance and trust. He may have to risk again in putting of his faith in Takemichi. And that’s the one thing that he won’t hesitate in doing so now.
If there’s one thing that Takemichi’s well known of, it’s his keeping and fulfilling his promises to them and not giving up.
Draken shook back his hand firmly and smiled warmly at him. This was one of the rarest times when he can put his walls down and expressed what he actually felt for the other.
“Alrighty! I’ve decided.”
Senju’s sudden cheerful voice broke the fragile moment between the two of them and Draken resisted the urge to twitch his eyes and sigh in annoyance.
What a great timing.
Takemichi pulled his hand away from Draken and turned around, seeing an offered umbrella to his direction by Senju. He casually accepted it with a bewildered expression on his face.
“An umbrella?” He blinked a few times.
“From now on… You’re my gofer!” Senju announced happily.
“Huh?” Takemichi looked taken aback, but he wasn’t sure if it’s from Senju’s words or the cheerful expression on his face. It was strange seeing the happy look and cheerful smile painted on his face since his usual default of facial expression was mostly blank and serious. But he couldn’t deny that it made his seraphic features softer and younger. And he couldn’t tear his eyes away from him.
Senju looked like a beautiful, fallen angel from the sky.
Senju leaned closer with that everlasting smile still present on his face. “Let’s meet tomorrow, 3PM at Harajuku!”
Takemichi tried so hard not to blush at his proximity and the cuteness that was laid out in front of him. What’s with Senju and the other members of their gang invading his personal space?!
“Eh? Wait—”
“Senju’s interested in you, Hanagaki!” Akashi cut him off cheerily.
What. Takemichi’s line of thought came into a screeching halt.
“Just be prepared.” Akashi flashed him a smirk before he waved goodbye to him and Draken.
‘What does that mean?!’Takemichi thought frantically as he could only watched Akashi leave and Senju walking beside him with a spring to his steps.
The Next Day, 3PM Harajuku…
Takemichi tried to be punctual this time even though he wasn’t the exact model employee back at the DVD shop that he was working for back then. He simply didn’t want to shatter any good impression and standing that he currently had with Brahman now especially with their leader since Akashi said that Senju was interested in him. Which still weirded him out. Yet it brought a warm feeling spreading through his chest. And he didn’t even know the reason why he was feeling like that in the first place.
Nevertheless, he took Akashi’s words with a grain of salt and didn’t delved deeper on it further. Maybe Senju was always like that when he found something that caught his eye or when his goals are actually met. Their leader’s unpredictability still caught him off guard sometimes. It reminded him of Mikey.
At the mere thought of the blond, Takemichi’s mood went pensive for a bit before he fought it back with a resolute determination. Of course, he was firm in his decision to save him regardless of what method he had to undertake to achieve it. If he had to join the Brahman to reached that goal faster then so be it. He’s ready for any consequences that he needed to face if necessary.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Hanagaki!”
A voice cut off his wandering thoughts and the noise among the crowd that made him paused and turned around to the source of it.
Takemichi’s brain short circuited at the sight that greeted his eyes.
When Akashi mentioned to him yesterday that he should be prepared, he wasn’t expecting this kind of surprise.
“Let’s go.”
A young lady dressed in a female school uniform stated calmly and looked casually at him like everything wasn’t out of the ordinary.
But it isn’t.
This was Senju.
Dressed in female clothes.
Senju.
Who is now a she instead of a he.
Female clothes and features.
And had a nice rack.
Takemichi internally screamed at himself. Now this wasn’t the time to be thinking like that! There was a right time to admire the beauty in front of him. And now isn’t the right time to do it. Since when did Senju became a woman?! His brain felt like melting along with his common sense.
“Huh? Who?” Takemichi replied intelligently as he gaped at Senju’s transformed existence in front of him.
Senju just stared at him blankly before she raised a hand to cover her mouth and stifled her giggles. “Hanagaki you never failed to amuse me sometimes.”
“Eh? But h-how…?” Takemichi stammered.
“Did you hit your head or something Hanagaki? I told you yesterday to meet me here at 3pm right?” Senju answered playfully as she now tugged on his arm and pulled him along the bustling crowd of the city.
Takemichi let him get swept away by Senju’s hold and actions, his mind was still racing with rapid thoughts at this newfound discovery that made him have an internal midlife crisis. He wanted to ask so many things… but for now he just let her be as he was also tantalized by her rare sunny disposition and her ethereal features in front of him.
Of course, Senju knew the reason why Takemichi was being confused and having a meltdown in front of him. But she chose to blatantly ignored it and willfully play the ruthless card of feigned innocence. She was having fun of making him bewildered and flustered.
And she also found it cute and adorable anyway.
This was going to be an interesting day ahead.
(A/N: I own nothing from this franchise except this weird fic of mine. Chapter 215 watered my crops and extended my lifespan because of these things: Inupi, Draken and Takemichi being shirtless and exposing their toned bodies, Draken going feral to protect Takemichi, Takemichi’s ever growing character development and backbone, Senju acting like Mikey and growing fond of our crybaby hero and lastly the infamous gender reveal party at the last panel. Ken plays with us like a damn fiddle with that bomb at the last panel of chapter 215 in the manga. The whole fandom is shook and is now rioting with speedy theories and ideas lmao. Well from my end, it’s fine if Senju is a guy or a gal since the gender is not my measurement of an interest to a character anyway. But it’ll be intriguing if Senju turned out to be a female and a leader of a gang since we all know that it’s mostly a male dominated territory in the franchise. And we’ll probably get another girlboss like Yuzuha as a bonus. Who knows? Maybe Ken will drop us another mind-blowing twist at the next chapter so I’m still not fully onboard with Senju being a 100% gal. But for the sake of this fic and for fun purposes, let’s assume that Senju is a complete female here and she’s having the time of her life making our crybaby hero like this: Takemichi.exe has stopped working. Also, if Mikey learned about this, he’ll be feral and he would raise some hell to prevent them from stealing his dear Takemitchy. So, Mikey you need to step up your game and appear in the future chapters so Takemichi doesn’t end up with one of his harems lol. Reviews are amusing. So, let me hear them from you.)
