My FFVII transfem headcanons are as follows:

Aeris because duh. She lived near areas that probably would have had lots of Queens and other transfems, I think the concept wouldn’t be new for her from a younger age and she had a supportive community if Remake is anything to go off of.

Cloud didn’t figure out until years after she met Aeris. I think for a bit it was hard to perceive femininity the way she experienced it. Which is butch. Taps the url. So she didn’t actually want too much out of transitioning because she only cares what her closest friends think about her.

Sephiroth I think never really got there. I’m always saying “Transitioning would have fixed her” and I believe that genuinely. I think Sephiroth expresses a lot of femininity outwardly, but everyone always spun it back around to associating with the ideal picture of Sephiroth. A tall imposing soldier, uncannily beautiful, handsome. Sephiroth never had the freedom of self expression, I think if she had, things could’ve been a bit different.
