In Western Astrology, Eclipses are said to have a variety of meanings. The major themes are revelation, change, release and transformation. It helps to strip back the confusion, and allows us to see what’s important. It has also been said that Eclipses are linked to our Moon’s north and south nodes, which relate to our fate, karma, and life’s destinies. 

♓︎ Eclipse energy can be felt 6 months after the date. This spirituality themed full moon and lunar eclipse falls at 25 degrees of Pisces. 

♓︎ With this being flavoured by the dreamy, nebulous sign of Pisces and its ruler, Neptune, we can expect to feel extra sensitivity - perhaps a feeling that is new and helps us to see the underlying feelings or ‘messages’ from the Universe of what we need to know.

SEPTEMBER FORECAST

PLANET:  SUN SIGN:  LIBRA DATE:  September 22nd - October 23rd

Libra is considered a Cardinal and positive sign in nature, one of the signs that initiates  change, the end of Summer beginning of Fall.   Libra is the primal force behind this season, restless and goal-oriented, it influences a time to  shift gears.

Libra is also an air sign with characteristics of being  intellectual, people driven and communicative.  Known as the “iron hand” in the “velvet glove”,  Libra can be aggressive, pulling tthis trait from their opposite sign Aries.  But unlike Aries who’ s motto is “me first”,   Libra searches for balance and harmony between Self and others.   It also idolizes beauty and charm.    Sometimes, fearful of discord,   this sign can indecisive.  

At its best , Libra is idealistic, easy-going, diplomatic, romantic and refined in appearance, unless there are conflicting hard aspects in their birth chart.  

At its worst Libra  leans towards being gullible, frivolous and flirtatious without consideration given to consequences.  They strive  to know and see both sides,  because they easily understand the value of both points of view, in. addition to the fact  they don’t have a definite opinion of their own.  

During the Libra cycle, love, romance, social media, the public, fashion, beauty, harmony and balance will be important, including all forms of partnership, especially long-term love,  marriage/cohabitation.  

PLANET:  MERCURY SIGN:  LIBRA CYCLE:  RETROGRADE DATE:  September 27th - October 18th

While Mercury is retrograde in Libra, the sign of beauty, harmony, balance justice, long-term love, marriage, the public, open enemies and all forms of partnership, all the above will come to the forefront during this time.    The past will also play an. Important part during this transit,  as it revisits the above areas of life.

Mercury retrograde of course will cause disruption where communication contractual agreements, travel,  and decision making are involved.    Expect delays, errors, m misjudgment and misunderstandings, they’ll be abundant.   People and situations from the past will resurface, if only for a brief moment in time.    If love is involved, it would be wise to get too serious or commit until the cycle is over.

This particular retrograde is a time to stop look and listen, reflecting on what has transpired, a time to assimilate everything that occurred up to this point.

September 2018 Forecast

1. September begins with energy asking you to nurture yourself. This is a time where you must gather your energy and take time to understand your limits and your desires. This is not a time for action but a continuation of planning and reaction. If you have been putting off your plans, it’s time to get serious. This is less about theory and more about solid outlines.

2. Next we find ourselves looking at our responsibilities and the boxes we place ourselves in. If the role you are in feels as if it’s smothering you, it may be time for a change- in role, or in how you view it. How you react to the obstacles in your path at this time may have a major affect on how you carry on past this. Lastly, your current situation may be brought into question. If you’re comfortable but wanting for adventuring but in an uncertain position, you need to decide which is more important to you.

3. In the 3rd part of September good energy will flow. This is an energy that asks you to keep working towards your goal. The universe will try to give you your space to create and to take action, but while the Knight of Cups usually foretells good things coming, they will only arrive if you really work towards it. Push yourself, and you’ll reap what you sew.

4. September ends with the promise of gain. You must be ready and you must be positive, and then the work you’ve put in will pay off. This is an emotional high and should allow you to relax where you may have been in a darker mood.

Planet:  Sun Sign:  Libra Date:  September 22nd - October 21st

Libra is ruled by the planet Venus, which also rules Taurus.  Libra is the sign affiliated with balance, harmony, beauty, socializing, the public, long-term love, legal matters (sagittarius too), open enemies snd contractual agreements. Libra is a Cardinal air sign of positive polarity.,air bringing in an energy off intellect and communication in addition to the Cardinal qualities of  being goal oriented, restless initiating and self-expressive.   It’s positive Yang quality enable Libra to be outgoing.  

Libra is often considered the “iron hand” in the velvet glove”, because its aggression is not usually obvious.

The positive side of Libra presents itself by being idealistic, easy-going, romantic, tactful and very refined in appearance.    The negative side of Libra can be gullible, frivolous and flirtatious in their search for balance.   They can easily see both side of an issue, but  rarely hold a definite opinion of their own.

Libra doesn’t want to be alone  and may well “sell out: their own needs or the truth in order to get peace and companionship.  Their  life “lesson: is to maintain  balance and harmony by being honest with Self and others.    Once this path is deviated from, they move further away from achieving goals and their hearts desire, thus leading to unhappiness.  

During the Libra cycle,  long-term partnerships, honesty, contractual agreements, open enemies, social media, social events, legal matters, the pubic, fashion, beauty,  enhancing personal appearance will all come to the forefront for attention.

Planet:  Mars Sign:  Aries Cycle:  Retrograde Dates:  September 9th - November 13th

Mars retrogrades for approximately 8-11 weeks every 2 years.  Usually during this cycle major conflict arises and with Mars being in its own sign Aries, expect “fireworks”.  Even before Mars began its  retrograde cycle, violence and conflict have been at the forefront of the news, with the confrontations with Federal Law Enforcement in Portland and the potential for these forces being sent to other cities..  This is because Mars moved into Aries on June 29th.

Events that occur won’t just be on a public level but a personal level too, if care caution and sensitivity are  not demonstrated.

As with every retrograde Planet in question,  the energy is weaker and not therefore able to yield positive results or outcomes.    With Mars in Aries,  new beginnings,  new business or projects of any kind should not be initiated , as they will result in confusion, false starts and arguments of some kind.  

Situations will be taken out of context with aggression and forceful behavior leading to confrontations, wars on a planetary scale and lawsuits on a personal level.   However, it should be noted that with Mars retrograde, the person who starts any type of lawsuit, conflict or aggression will end up losing.

Mars/Aries represents sharp objects and blood, therefore surgery is not advised during this transit, something could go wrong. Accidents of all kinds come under Mars/Aries, highlighting extra caution during traveling is needed.

Attention to detail and awareness at all times is necessary during any retrograde, but with Mars in Aries retrograde, it would be wise to be aware of this on a daily basis.

SEPTEMBER FORECAST

Planet:  Moon Sign: Pisces Cycle: Harvest Full Moon Date:  September 14th

The Harvest Full Moon in Pisces marks the end/completion of goals initiated up to this point.  Whether or not the culmination of these goals will be positive or negative depends on actions taken around the New Moon in Pisces, and since that time, March 6th.   Good things can still come from this aspect either way, because lessons learned usually prove to be beneficial later. none way or another.  

The Full Moon is a time to “reap what has been sown”, so to speak, in preparation for the New Moon in Libra at the end of the month.   Therefore, the Harvest Moon is a sure sign that the “fruits of one’s labors” have the potential to produce a bountiful “harvest” in the months ahead.

Planet:  Saturn Sign:  Capricorn Cycle:  Direct Motion Date:  September 18th

Saturn now moving forward after being retrograde since April 29th indicates obstacles, difficulties and delays will start to fall away, especially connected to career, goals, ambitions and certain structures.   People in authority/power will also be more responsive and wiling to help and support where needed.

The most important things to remember are the “lessons”/karma brought in to focus during the retrograde transit.  If these “lessons”/karmas are ignored they will only continue to occur and make progress difficult.   Once Saturn has changed direction, it will be obvious, what, if anything has improved or seems to be getting worse.   The key is to avoid stagnation, comfort zones or being “chained” by one’s own inhibitions, wrong-doing, fear, insecurity or doubt.  In other words being your own worst enemy isn’t an ingredient for any positive or successful outcome.

Saturn is the “teacher” of the zodiac and  also rules time.  Saturn “rewards” work well done and “lessons” learned, but timing is everything, not to be wasted or taken for granted.   That is why there are retrogrades in Astrology, to show there is a time to rest and a time for action.   Therefore, have the courage to now untie restrictive knots, in order to learn, grow and prosper.  This is the message of Saturn  moving forward.
