“Wha–? Come on, I told you not to touch anything!” Hibiki tried his absolute best to hide his smile, but the urge to laugh was too strong. “Pfft, dude. It’s probably not even broken. Let me see it, okay?”
“I am truly sorry, Shining One I thought, perhaps, a simple human machine wouldn’t be too difficult to peruse,” Alcor replied, distress evident in his tone of voice. The machine in question shook and rattled ominously before them, appearing as though it were on the verge of collapse. Even an entity that lacked prior knowledge of kitchen appliances knew something was terribly amiss. “I assumed by its given name -- dishwasher -- that it had the capacity to wash dishes. I meant to lighten your burden, Shining One. Unfortunately, the bar of soap I inserted within its confines does not seem to agree with its inner mechanisms.”
He paused, then quickly took the Shining One’s wrist in hand to pull him away from the foamy dishwasher. “I cannot allow you to step any closer, Shining One! We do not know how dangerous it is.”
