The Downpour.

Downpours, fleets of rain spitting down at the world below, drowning my sorrows and worry's, it's destructive and murderous but at the same time, saves me with each droplet.

It makes me wonder, do they know they're falling to their death? coming down in fleets and fits; sometimes it's little summer spats which fall heavily for a few minutes, cooling down the pavements and people below, sometimes it's heavy for hours on end, sprinkling the world in large drops.

Do they know they don't have parachutes? Do they know that the only thing that's saving them is the wind and even then it only prolongs their lives for a few seconds?

I feel as though they wait at the top of the clouds, on grey balls of wool and wait for the go ahead in rows, like an army. Taking turns throwing themselves, tagging those behind them to follow. It makes me feel alive, spitting onto leaves and trees or even city lights. Shining like miniature rainbows briefly while they pass neon signs; bouncing on umbrellas and laying on people's shoulders and heads like they're sleepy.

In any setting it's peaceful and violent all in one; the perfect oxymoron
