Okay but what if Hermann got really drunk one time and called Newt Frodo
I bet that after the drift Newt took advantage of his newly acquired Bavarian accent to imitate Hermann, however he isn't quite as good at it as Hermann is. Not because Hermann can imitate a Berlin accent better, but because he has perfected the ability to replicate Newton's mannerisms down to a T. The first time he does it Newt can only stand in awe, blinking and with his mouth agape. Newton then spends hours trying to polish the subtitles of his Hermann interpretation.
This is the most delightful mental image ever.
Tendo gets fifty vines of Hermann imitating Newt. Newt's not even mad, he's just like "TEACH ME".
Cue Hermann smirking.

Please do!!! I adore your writing and this idea is beyond amazing. Everything about the drift makes me so ridiculously excited.
Thank you! :3
I am going to touch on some of the post-Drift effects in the longer fic I'm writing now, so that will show up.

Five facts about my house:-The front door has a circular window that reminds me of Bag-end. - We have a cupboard under the stairs, much like Harry Potter- One of our feature walls in the living room has a compilation of fancily-dressed animals captioned with rap quotes, such as this- Our shower curtain is a picture of a gargantuan sloth climbing the empire state building. -There’s this nifty little thinger under one of the cupboards that grips the lids of jars to help you open them!! My boyfriend is nearly obsolete.
15. Five facts about your favourite book: -I don’t have a favourite book. -The author of The Shadow of the Wind composed a soundtrack for the novel.- Jane Eyre plays a huge supporting role in Diane Setterfield’s The Thirteenth Tale- Last I checked, Rohinton Mistry, author of A Fine Balance, resides in Brampton ON. He cancelled a book tour a few years ago because he was repeatedly singled out racially in a US airport following 9/11 and publicly humiliated. -Tolkien typed the Lord of the Rings with two fingers. It took him 14 years and over 1200 pages.

SAME THOUGH it's gonna be magical.
Hermann gets really cold hands in the winter.
Hermann exploits this by occasionally touching Newt on the neck or the face or something and Newt shrieks every time.
One day he sneaks up on Newt and gets him on the neck and Newt goes "CHILL with the frost hands, Elsa!"
Hermann is so confused that he ends up laughing for like a good minute because that's the most out-of-nowhere thing anyone has ever called him.

YES *grabby hands* I’ve wanted a let’s jack-elope button since I read Occam’s Razor and now I need this bedspread too
On that subject: so-i-did-this-thing made an awesome button from Blair's illustration a while back. It's adorable.

To be honest, if I had a jacket like that one, neither would I
It's SO WARM and I get cold easily so it's like "Nope, never taking it off."
