@serenelilium
... Well then.
She really needed a better map (or maybe just to learn how to read) because guess who was lost after having to duck into the woods AGAIN? This derpy dog. This derpy dog was lost after wandering into the woods again.
Aronn paused to rub at her aching forehead and check the map again. Yup. Lost, so lost. Ugh. None of this was familiar, and it was almost humiliating that she felt the need to stop and ask for help. The knock on the cottage door was timid, at best, but audible.

To be honest, Cassius wasn't one to care. He never did, it just wasn't something he needed to do. He had orders to follow though, people to kill and people to track as well.
He wasn't supposed to be walking home someone who he had just saved from a little accident.
He walked in silence, eyes only aiming straight ahead as the two walked though the forest. He didn't know what to say... Aria had almost fallen off a cliff, and if he wasn't there to grab her... Well that wouldn't be pretty. She was pretty shaken up but he didn't know what to say.
He sighed, glancing at her from under his hat.
"... I'll come with you to the top of the ravine. After that you need to find your home yourself."
in case anyone was wondering where all da swag came from~

The rumors were clear. A witch who could extend your life past the point of death? Unthinkably suspicious, considering the lack of people coming out of the forest with longer lifespans. Not to mention that the rumors that she could cut your life just as easily were very clear as well. She needed to be stopped.
So into the woods he ventured. Aryn was at home, aware of what the fox was about to do. Dust was the fighter. Aryn? The protector. And Aurora needed one with everything going on now... especially with such an obvious threat within the forest. It wasn't until Dust had reached the shack that Ahrah let out a shiver.
A blade let out an audible shudder, his metal giving a small clink before settling safely in place. This was the place. And Dust needed to put a stop to it. So, as nonchalantly as possible... the man reached the door of the hidden shack, and knocked. Perhaps this could end peacefully...
(( For Aria~ )) ♛
Send me a ♛ and i’ll explain why my character treats yours the way they do.
((He treats Aria the way he does because he is curious, or at least that was his initial reasoning. He was cautious, trying his hardest not to get close but in the end he kinda did and now he is just careful with her.
He knows he should not be this close, he knows he should have never crossed the line and bond with her but he already did. He kinda regrets that because he is putting her in danger but is also selfish and likes talking to her and stuff because she is nice to him. So yeah, a lot of conflicting emotions, stuff he doesn’t understand at all :DD))

Cassius gritted his teeth, his blade crashing against another with a loud clang. It echoed, sound bouncing off the thick forest that surrounded the two. The sun had just begun to fall, making everything tint a golden hue. Though none of this mattered, as slash after slash forced the two fighters to recoil. Cassius's eyes narrowed, shifting the weight on his feet in anticipation, waiting for the other to strike him. His opponent, a much larger assassin, seemed to be aiming to kill him.
Or at least, try to kill him.
He charged at Cassius, aiming to chop off his head. Cassius ducked, bending down to trip the elder assassin with one swift kick and quickly moving his blade to slash at his weak points. He rolled out of the way, standing up and adjusting his grip on his sword, staying in one spot for a moment, waiting to see what Cassius would do. His sword was massive as well, one clean hit would probably knock Cassius out...
One hit, oh why was he so physically weak? Never mind that, he had to focus. This assassin... Oh how he loathed this one. He was the one who had caused him great... Anger. Though it wasn't like he could just kill him, oh no things wouldn't be that simple. For one, they both worked for the king, meaning he couldn't just kill him. Secondly, he was much bigger than Cassius, much stronger too. Though, Cassius could handle him.
Or so he thought.
He got careless, assuming that his hits were doing more damage then they actually were. He thought he had made him immobile, and that was a grave mistake. The assassin, who Cassius honestly couldn't care less of his name had struck him, slashing his back with his blade.
Blood splattered everywhere, making Cassius gasp slightly, pain surging though his body. Yet, he was able to roll out of the way of another hit, the wound starting to burn. It was getting worse by him moving, but if he didn't get out of the way...
The assassin tried to hit him again, aiming to chop off his arm, yet Cassius rolled out of the way again, forcing himself to stand and grip his blade tightly. He winced, the pain in his back worsening. He could feel the warmth of his blood, trailing down his back, making him shiver. This wasn't good, he had to get out of here. Sure he had done quite a lot of damage to the other, as he was broken and bruised but would that be enough...?
There was no point in risking it, live to fight another day right? He narrowed his eyes, shifting his weight again. His grip on his sword changed, stance flowing with it as well.
He was preparing to run, as that was the best corse of action in a situation like this. The other assassin narrowed his eyes, unsure of what he was doing.
Then, Cassius turned on the balls of his feet, sprinting in the direction behind him. He heard the other shout, but knew he could not catch up to him with ease. He had hindered him after all, and Cassius was nimble and fast, even injured.
It took some time, but he finally got a safe distance away, stopping to catch his breath by a large tree. His back aced, and fatigue began to swallow him whole. He shook it off, crouching to a low stance to rest for a bit.
He needed to fix his wounds, but... He was exhausted, how could he...?
