Okay okay! I'd be so very much here to read your fic for any of these! My first thought when seeing this ask was that I'd love to read a fic with the MC giving their LI puppy dog eyes, and I love your writing, so the combination would be awesome. No pressure, of course, just know that I would love to read it if you decide to write it
Awwwww Seren! You always say the loveliest things. I have so many WIPs on my plate already the idea of starting any new ones feels exhausting (though I might be able to fold some into existing projects ;D) but! I'll share a couple of freebies because they're really too much fun to stay in my head. Imagine:
Mason, or perhaps Adam, has hidden Rhi's car keys so that she'll stop driving that moving deathtrap for good. She's tried looking for them in the warehouse, summoning them with her mind, an a bunch of other things, and now she's at her last resort: asking Mason straight out where he put them.
"Nope. Not telling. I hope that rust bucket disintegrates."
"Oh, come on. Please?"
"What are you doing with your face?"
"Pleading. Is it working?"
"Sorry, Sweetheart, it's for your own good."
"Bugger."
She huffs and stamps away, and Mason is left wondering which he finds cuter, the puppy-dog eyes or her scowl when she's been thwarted.
Leah hanging out with Nate in the kitchen, sitting on the counter while he cooks them dinner. It's nice. She's gotten used to having someone do things for her without the panic that comes from constantly owing someone favours, and the air between them is relaxed. It's only when Nate turns to pick up a forgotten ingredient that he realises the cunningness of her placement. He sighs and sets down the utensil he was using, and saunters across the floor, until he's close enough to brush his hands over her knees.
"Rouhi," he murmurs as she parts her thighs to let him closer, "you're blocking the spice cupboard."
"What, this cupboard here?"
"Mmhmm."
She twists around to open it and asks what he was after, and when he tells her, she picks through the rows of neat little glass jars.
"This one?"
When he hums the affirmative and reaches out to take it, she pulls it back with a look of wide hurt in her eyes.
"You're not going to give me anything in return?"
(He cottons on quickly.) "What would you like?"
"Well, you clearly want it very much..." (still with the puppy-dog eyes) "it would have to be something just as good..."
And Nate tilts her chin for a long, slow kiss that almost, almost makes him burn the onions, but they both decide it's worth it.
The problem for both of them is that puppy-dog eyes is not a natural behaviour. Leah would rather die than be caught ruining her reputation by doing something cute, and Rhi doubts her ability to wield it effectively and would rather not embarrass herself by trying. Their LIs bring out their vulnerabilities, but that doesn't mean it'll be a regular occurrence XD
