when they met in club errera, neither of them exactly expected it to go on for longer than a night? but something just clicked, and the two of them spent a while together in the city as friends and then eventually began actually dating probably not long before PFL kicked off

they were two of the first introduced into PFL. lina for obvious reasons, but she’s never been quite sure if york was brought in because of her or just by coincidence. either way neither of them really expected to see the other there.

a fair few of their issues sorta came down to clashing symptoms / methods of dealing with their symptoms (york’s ADHD and lina’s autism) even tho they definitely talked about it when they could, just. lina’s bad at emotions and york can be Too Upfront sometimes.

but ways they did help each other!!

lina didn’t actually make that many cracks about his lock-picking even before his eye, because a lot of the times that he messed up was because someone pulled him out of his focus? so she’d always try and keep from distracting him at all and didn’t make jokes

she’d also share the few stim items she had if she thought they’d help him.

york gave her pressure massages all the time she loved them. it was a great way to relax her.

york eventually picked up her meltdown cues and would cover for her when she disappeared into the maintenance tunnels. there’d usually be a hot drink or something else nice waiting for her in her room when she got back down.

a bit of an inside joke they have is york offering to steal her things, especially on shore leave and stuff like that. this can just be about actual nice things from stores or it can be about food in the mess hall.

sometimes lina would just turn up in his room and snuggle into bed with him without really saying a lot. he was fine with that. 

york’s a massive nerd who once just sat with like starry eyes when listening to lina info-dump it was almost adorable

lina totally was the one who started off with a pick-up line in errera and this has continued to this day. york doesn’t use pick-up lines or puns nearly as much as lina does. lina’s just good at being subtle when she needs to. help york. he’s being played at his own game.

also please help york his girlfriend is an adrenaline junkie and he loves her but really, she has to stop making them do reckless things for a rush. he is scared. even if he loves how exhilarated she gets.

lina’s been known to make puns so bad that york walks away. she’s proud.

Oh, wow, it’s been a while since I read the books. (Guess what I’m searching from my boxes as soon as I finish the ones I’m reading :3)

what kind of theme they’d have: something haphazardly arranged in columns that he rarely changes. He’s forgotten what his header is supposed to be. (It’s an iconograph of him running. Very blurry, but aesthetically pleasing.)

what kind of text posts they make at 2am: he has entire conversations in a single post with Bill Rincewind, who is in XXXX, so an entirely different time zone and regularly forgets it. Also he tends to write one-sentence posts that people think they’re shitposts because they’re so freaking weird, but they are actually musings and memories of his (mes)adventures in Hell, Fourecks, on the Counterweight Continent, the moon, etc. The Librarian likes every single of his posts. Sometimes, the next day, he gives Rincewind a banana and a pat on the head.
