So Todoroki Enji. His blood type is AB.
So Todoroki Shouto. His blood type is O.
None of the other Todorokis have a listed blood type that I could find. However, my initial thought was “well that doesn’t matter. someone with type AB can’t have a child with type O.”
test tube baby by the HPSC I was wrong.
There’s a rare blood type found most widely in eastern Asia, with the largest populations being in Korea (.03%), Japan (.001%), and China (.0007%). This blood type is AB/O (cis-AB). That’s a pretty comprehensive article on it, but the long and short?
Someone with a cis-AB blood type would seem to just have AB blood type, up until they have a child with type O. Also here’s a family tree chart, from the linked article.
So it’s more likely that Endeavor has a cis-AB blood type.
Here’s a couple more articles about it. The last one uses more laymans terms so silly people like me can understand what’s going on a little better.
Anyways, I just thought it was really interesting how that worked out.
Even if the antibodies are negative, allele testing can still be done (alleles to look for: HLA DQ2 and DQ8). If that result is negative, it’s probably not Celiac Disease. If the result is positive, the patient will then be given a gluten challenge to see if antibodies appear. The gold standard is the gluten challenge. Erin commented that there's a lot of research showing that IgG might be tagging proteins it has seen, which might be indicating tolerance, not intolerance.
Who, where, what, when, why?
Fucked
Sero learned that there was a branch of science study named after him and now he’s u n s t o p p a b l e.
Also, Seroroki is a very underrated (br)otp
