If you haven't received a response to any of your service requests today, you can blame IT for that.
I accidentally hit a button on my datapad that logged me out of the whole thing. I tried logging back in, but after I entered my password, it started asking for way more stuff.
Turns out, IT ran some sort of update to "increase security" which requires, like, six factor authentication to get into my profiles or some such nonsense.
I've been trying to get back in to MY OWN DATAPAD for a few hours now. It wants to do things like "send a verification code" to my account in the First Order Security App, but I've never heard of that app and I can't even search for and download it because the app store is IN MY LOCKED DATAPAD AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
I've decided it's time to take matters into my own hands. If you need me, I'll be in the IT offices holding powerful magnets up to anything that looks important until the folks down there decide to fix things so I can sign back in with a username and password like before.
Sometimes, having this old-ass computer in my quarters as a backup is truly a blessing. I might not be able to get much work done with it, but I can at least use it to blog my complaints to the general public, which is still helpful.
