Building the mausoleum from The Resurrectionists “Welcome to our fake mausoleum.. The exterior build to the spooky stone interior from earlier. Gave this to Scottish scenic artist Rebecca Hamilton to smash out, from studio build to final touches on location at the foot of Stirling Castle”

this was always a film where the design outshone the execution, so I love the ideas that come through on these pics, especially the lighting. Lynch wanted much darker lighting, while the producers wanted a bright transfer to VHS, and these diffuse, washed out scans have an amazing vibe to me.
