Like… did everyone on the crew besides the Duffer brothers think Byler was going to be canon? and they just let them create the show believing that?

I want to say thank you to all animators, voice actors, writers, composers, prop designers, ect. You all work just as hard as actors to do your best, but you all don't get enough recognition.

Giger and the decay of space
You cannot mention space horror movies without talking about Swiss artist H.R. Giger and his warped mix of Art Nouveau, Symbolism and sadomasochism. Giger imagined a bleak, biomechanical future where human and machine would merge into a nightmarish race of hybrids.
Giger was also the set designer for the original Alien and Dune movies
Dead space jockey from Alien (1979)
One of Giger’s original conceptual paintings of a xenomorph for Alien
Still from David Lynch’s Dune (1984) you can see Giger’s influence in the wardrobe as well as interior designs.
Giger would cast the large shadow over the sci-fi genre as a whole with other designers continuing to be inspired by his look from Alien
Necromonger warrior from The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
The Borg Queen from Star Trek : First Contact (1996)
Mutant child from Pandorum (2009)
Giger also continued to design for other films. He created the true form for Sil from the Species franchise
Close up Sil’s body which is part amphibian, part machine and part woman. Species (1995)
Even though Giger was only the designer for the first and third Alien movies, his creation of the infamous xenomorphs meant that his unique style would remain an essential part of the franchise. Giger has received a creator credit on most of the Alien sequels including the modern ones.

I frikin’ love whoever runs the Timeless twitter account. Bless them and their absolute pureness.
