I went to 54 below tonight to see Seth Eliser perform and ended up running into Joe Iconis.

Now like I knew Joe would be there cause he was on the set list but what I wasn’t expecting to actually talk to him. Or being near him at all. So when he spent the whole concert pretty much sitting next to me at the bar I lost my shit.

So first off, I’m sitting eating dinner and my friend texts me that she sees Joe and I’m like lol where and this happens

I turn around, there’s Joe Iconis and Rob Rokicki like a foot away from me. I freak out. Then Joe turns around and RECOGNIZES ME. He’s like “Dani hi! so good to finally see you in person” and I basically say the same thing back and I’m just like absolutely losing my shit because Joe freaking Iconis just recognized me.

The rest of the night we don’t really talk but he’s just like chilling next to me while I’m trying to act normal and watch the concert. Then he did his set with Seth and they did Party Hat and Son of a Gun. I’m freaking out cause Party Hat is like one of my absolute favorite songs. When he comes back over, I tell him that and that I never thought I’d see it performed live to which he responds something along the lines of “I’m so glad the song found you!” which almost made me cry.

Later, when I’m trying to pay for my food, I never get a check. So I ask the bartender about it and he says that it’s already paid and someone next to you paid for it. So either the woman on one side of me paid for it, or Joe fucking Iconis paid for my food. I can’t even. What the fuck.

I don’t have anything against Seth, but come on. The only person who has claim to “Son of a Gun” to approach Sweettooth’s is Jason Tam. 

(I forgot EWM does it on the T2R cast album, so he counts too. But... for me, it’s Sweettooth unless we’re goin’ Black Suitsy about it, and then it’s Jason Tam.)
