#35: SetsuRin

I did a drabble for @13ghostlytitties . Hope you HoaH stand enjoy it too!

Itsuka Kendou didn't give it too much thought, but she supposed she was a tough girl. She loved motorcycles and martial Arts and could quote James Dean movies by heart. Sure, she had shown her feminine side in a commercial with Momo Yaoyorozu and Uwabami.

 And then there was their first year culture festival where she was signed up for the beauty pageant. All in all, however, Class B's "big sis" was rather tomboyish.

So it would come as a big shock to many to find out how badly spiders freaked out. 

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

A shriek rang through the kitchen of the class B dorms as Itsuka leapt up on the counter and shuddered in the corner. From the floor, a small jumping spider skittered about, confused over its surroundings.

It was then that Monoma rushed in. If anyone didn't know him better?, they would think he had come to his girlfriend's aid. Instead he walked in and opened the freezer and grabbed a tub of gelato, his favorite brand.

"Oh, Itsuka. Why are you shouting. That seems unlike you," the blonde boy chuckled, a tacky tropical shirt adorning his torso. He went over the top by tucking a cravat into it. Itsuka couldn't even question her boyfriend's fashion choices or engage in relationship chicken at the moment. She was too busy cowering over the small arachnid on the floor.

"W-What are you doing? Capture it, kill it. I don't know. J-Just please get rid of that spider," the redhead stammered uncharacteristically.

Monoma was loving it. As much as he loved her, Itsuka had reigned him in like a mischievous puppy and rained on his plans time and time again. To see the big tough Battlefist shaking like a leaf because of a little spider? He had wished Sen was there with his best camera. Alas, it was bad boyfriend etiquette to do so. The boy tutted gently and kneeled down to pick the spider up.

"Oh Itsuka, Itsuka, Itsuka. How could I harm such an innocent creature? That is unbecoming of future he-"

It was then that the spider turned to this new giant and jumped onto his shoe. Startled, Monoma fell backwards, gelato and spoon flying out of his grasp and into the wall.

"FUCK!"

Monoma fell onto his bottom and failed wildly, losing any composure he previously had.

Setsuna noticed the hoops coming from the kitchen as her and Run were headed out to go on a date to the mall. She peeked in and took a quick photo and grinned.

"Are you coming? I thought we were headed out?" Rin asked.

"In a minute. There we go. I am going to get so much mileage out of this," the greenery chuckled to herself. She noticed the tip of gelato on the floor. As it was still frozen, it was in relatively good co edition. She picked it up and headed out the door with her boyfriend as 1-B's other resident odd couple freaked out over a spider.

44. Setsuna and Rin

“No offense meant, but I do not trust you to carve the turkey.”

“...Whaaaaaaaat?” Setsuna questioned. It took her a moment to remember she had already taped the knives to her body.

“Knife Tornado was already a less-than-stellar idea for fighting. I don’t think cutting our food is the best use for it either.”

“...you’re just jealous,” Setsuna challenged

“No, I’m just trying to protect the meal I spent all afternoon on.” Rin stamped himself down between Setsuna and the bird. “I’m putting my foot down.”

“Alright, alright.” Setsuna turned around and feigned taking off her taped-on knives, but then whipped around and split to fly around Rin. “Sneak atta—“

“Nope.” With insane precision, Rin grabbed each knife off of Setsuna’s shirt and arms, collecting every one before she could pass him by.

Setsuna reformed by his side with a big frown. “Boo! No fun!”

“Watch and learn.” Now with an assured smirk, Rin stepped up to the turkey, dual-wielding knives.

Setsuna stepped out of his way and tried to look over his shoulder, but stepped back when he began to slice the meat. His speed was blistering, shocking Setsuna long enough that she didn’t try to get a close look until he was finished.

“Well?” Rin asked, showing off his perfect slices.

“You know what? That’s damn impressive. You could give Kamakiri a run for his money, yknow?”

“Much appreciated. Time to call down everyone - it’s dinner time.”

who’s the cuddler: Setsuna!

who makes the bed: Hiryuu! He is a very tidy boy.

who wakes up first: Surprisingly, they both wake up at around the same time. Hiryuu knows he shouldn’t be sleeping as late as he does, but he just really likes laying there in his bed next to his girlfriend.

who has the weird taste in music: Setsuna.

who is more protective: Setsuna absolutely adores Hiryuu, but both of them are very protective of one another. Their first instinct when something happens in an area they know the other is in is to stop everything they were doing and go there to check it out.

who sings in the shower: Setsuna!

who cries during movies: Neither cry very often, although Hiryuu tends to tear up a little bit more than Setsuna does.

who spends the most while out shopping: Hiryuu makes sure to accompany Setsuna whenever they go shopping anywhere, mostly because he just enjoys spending time with her - so he tends to keep her spending habits grounded in what they can realistically buy.

who kisses more roughly: Setsuna!

who is more dominate: 50/50, I’d think.

my rating of the ship from 1-10: 9/10! It’s a very soft and wholesome ship which I do really like a lot.

Alright...how about some Rin x Setsuna headcanons?

One of my favorite 1-B ships! I think about them a lot, they're like... canon to my headcanon verse. If you know what i mean. The class 1-B spin off that only exists in my head. And this blog, of course

Ok, so

- i love their dynamic because it's pretty much like this ^

Setsuna came to UA, said she's looking for bad boys, ended up falling for Rin who's literally everything but a bad boy

(Kendo probably thinks it's hilarious)

- The main reason why some people like this ship is because they both have reptile themed quirks, but that is actually very valid considering Setsuna's love for dinosaurs. 100% sure she started flirting with Rin two seconds after she found out what his quirk was

- he thanked her

- he didn't even realize she was trying to flirt and just took it as a compliment

- like Rin is a really smart guy, he has amazing grades and everything, but goddamit. he can be so romantically clueless it hurts. You could declare your love for him in the most blunt way possible and he would respond with "thanks that's very nice of you :)" or something like this

- This didn't change even when he actually developed a small crush on Setsuna (i think he liked her because... she's just really cool and pretty and powerful and really, who doesn't love her?)

- Tsuburaba couldn't stand that so he declared himself Rin's dating coach

- it did help actually, Tsuburaba has like zero experience but somehow gives the best dating advice??

- Setsuna was an expert already she didn't need anyone's help

- As for the actual relationship headcanons...

- They're probably the most cuddly couple in UA

- Even more so during winter because cuddles are a perfect way to keep Rin warm and Setsuna doesn't waste the opportunities life gives her

- They do each other's hair a lot! (Rin's hair actually looks very similar to Setsuna's when it's down)

- I like to think of them cooking together :) Setsuna isn't talentless at cooking, it's more like she never tried

- They complement each other well because Rin is an amazing listener, perfect for someone as talkative as Setsuna

- She probably got him interested in dinosaurs because she talked about them so much lol

- Both Setsuna and Rin were nervous about how Setsuna's family would react to the fact that she has a boyfriend, but they actually like Rin a lot because he's very polite and kind

- But Rin's family absolutely loved Setsuna at the very moment they met her (his family is just super wholesome in general)

- Setsuna wants to visit China with Rin one day and meet the part of his family that lives there. She loves listening to him when he's talking about his home country
