Our Next Protagonist...

So hi again, lovelies!

As mentioned before, I’ve been getting a handful of requests for a sequel to my SoulmateAU!Wonwoo, and I am really keen in pursuing this idea as well! But I’ve hit a roadblock right from the get-go; 

I CAN’T, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, DECIDE WHO SHOULD BE THE NEXT MALE LEAD.

The premise of the sequel will follower our main female character *ahem, spoiler alert* attending a support group for people that have lost their soulmates, following her breakup with Wonwoo. There, she meets some new friends, and maybe, just maybe, she may find happiness again.

I’ve painfully narrowed down 13 members to 3 prime candidates, partly because 1) they have 3 very distinct personalities and the story can take 3 very different but colourful paths based on the final choice, and 2) they currently have the least number of requests

CANDIDATE #1: CHOI SEUNGCHEOL

A terminal illness has taken the life of his soulmate and significant other of two years. The dullness in his voice unnerved you as he shares his story. It was as though he’s been through too much emotional turmoil that all feelings have been stripped bare off him.  He’s jaded, cynical, a shell of his former self; you knew he didn’t want to be here. His surface reflects icy cold calmness. Yet, he is probably one of the most broken people you’ve ever met. 

CANDIDATE #2: WEN JUNHUI

A reputable playboy, if the flirtatious wink he sends you on the way to his seat is anything to go by. An seemingly offhand remark of just being here to appease his staunch mother irritates you a little. Yet, as his hand reaches behind his neck to feel that black mark you’ve all possessed, his eyes aimed downwards in quiet deliberation as he listened to the group’s stories, you wondered... What is the underlying reason for him to go around playing with others?

CANDIDATE #3: LEE SEOKMIN

You’ve never met anyone who has been born with a black mark. You’ve never even thought it was possible until you’ve met him. A shy laugh punctuates the end of his sharing; well, since he’s born without a soulmate, he doesn’t feel any pain or loss, right? But behind that façade of his lie years after years of loneliness and longing. You can’t help but feel a surge of sympathy and protectiveness over him, and a pining curiosity to get to know him better...
