hubert uses Halloween as an excuse to really goth it up at work at his coffee shop job. he also creates some drinks named after poisons and whenever someone orders one he does his signature laugh lol

(ok i know this is really silly but you just know he'd love this)

HE WOULD!

October 1st 6:01am, just when first shift is coming into the shop-- Hubert swaps out the menus. Puts out the fake bats and skulls and erects a plastic witches hut over the condiments bar. Loops cotton spider webs along the register. Creates a display for the front window that lists the seasonal drinks and snacks on tombstones. He even uses paint to smack a 'bloody' hand print on the door to the bathroom-- until Dorothea declares it "gross" and demands he clean it up.

Hubert's nails are black, his apron is black, and, during the few hours of lunch rush, he puts in blood red contacts to trip people up. A few regulars, who know this is coming every October, are stoked. They know which drinks they can order to trigger Hubert's Evil Laugh.

Yuri: I'll take one English breakfast tea, a ghost meringue brownie... and my friend here wants a cyanide apple cider ;)

Hubert: With or without the antidote? >:3

Ashe: (A-Antidote?)

Yuri: (t's whipped cream) No antidote. His time is up.

Hubert: AHahaha~! Indeed it is. Your order will be ready soon.

Yaaas I approve of all of this!!!

Night had fallen over the city of Ishgard, the moon rising high over the city as snow continued to fall. It was a quiet night - at least, for the most part.

The soft, serene music of a flute being played rang out over the Last Vigil. The source? None other than the Warrior of Light himself.

Rekrito lost himself in his flute playing, focusing on playing his piece. There was the occasional onlooker, night owls who had yet to turn into bed - but most knew to not disturb him. The least they could do was afford him the illusion of privacy.

After all, the song he was playing was a requiem, meant for one and one alone.
