seven falls

Tree. Rocks. Water. Sky.
Shots from our 2 day getaway, earlier this week.
Los Padres National Forest, California.
There's a few off trail excursions from Tunnel Trail that are popular enough to have very distinct trails. The route to see the waterfalls along Mission Canyon is one of them. The pools beyond take a bit of a climb.
Los Padres National Forest. The popular off trail (use trail) excursion to see the waterfalls along Mission Creek. The big pools, too.

Jump of the Seven Falls
It was the largest waterfall in the world in volume of water, because on October 13, 1982 the floodgates of the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant were closed to create the dam flooding the waterfalls.
To give you an idea of its greatness, we only have to compare its annual average flow with Niagara Falls, the largest in volume of water today, the Seven Falls had a flow of 13,300 m³ / s while Niagara Falls today has 2,407 m³ / s. It was located on the border between Brazil and Paraguay and was part of the Paraná River, today it is located at the bottom of the artificial lake of Itaipu.
Who had the opportunity to watch this fantastic spectacle of nature, brings the scene recorded forever in the routine. But no matter how imaginative it may be, no matter how much memory you have, you will never be able to reproduce the majestic image of billions of cubic meters of water falling per second from rocky cliffs to the abyss with a deafening noise.
The falls were located at a point where the Paraná River was forced through a narrow gorge. At the head of the falls, the river drastically reduced from a width of about 380 meters to 61 meters. The total height of the falls was approximately 114 m, while the largest of the 19 large waterfalls had a drop of 40 m in height. The roar of the waterfall could be heard 20 kilometers away.
The Seven Falls can be considered one of the greatest natural wonders, was a true painting of God. It consisted of 19 main waterfalls divided into 7 groups of falls. The city of Guaíra was built in 1940 to take advantage of the tourist power of the region, it was at this time that Brazil and the world began to know the name Salto Guaíra given to the Jump of the Seven Falls.
binibinilovetravels Tis my second time experiencing the highest zipline in asia, gave me the chance to savor each moment, minus a little bit of tachycardia. Seven Falls Lake Sebu Zipline is one of the highest and tallest zipline in asia and is divided into to 2 rigs. One rig runs for 45 seconds and the latter part runs for 25 seconds. Only through the zipline can you see the seven magnificent falls.
