Do you guys ever wonder why the duffers specifically picked the number SEVEN for byler?? Could it have been any number at all?? Did they get noah and/or finn to pick a number from 1-10 and where just like aight????

Mike and Will met on the Swingset on September 7th, 1976

First of all, all these observations were mostly made in my groupchat Michael's Flipflops! A shoutout to them. We named these strings of observations 'sevengate'.

It's already canon that they met on the swings on September 1976, according to the Wiki. But we didn't know the specific day until Ash cracked the code.

"It was the first day of Kindergarten", Mike told us himself in his S2 monologue.

The only possible day that they could meet is September 7th 1976, a Tuesday. School usually started after Labor Day up until the early 90s.

And we all know why the day they met being specifically a seven is full of meaning...

That isn't the only thing. 1976 + 7 = 1983, when Mike lost Will. Because he was kidnapped.

According to chinese astrology - "A trip to china sounds nice", 1976 is the year of the "Fire Dragon", and remember what Will painted for Mike?

ok guys i’m about to partake in some real wack-a-doodle time BUT it’s interesting to me how hopper discovered will’s body was fake at about 6:35…

then we have the clock on the library being shown TWICE (i’m going to write more about the significance of the library in another post) in the star court mall ad showing times getting closer to 6 o’clock.

the ad also shows the clock in the mall at 6:30.

this piqued my interest because i remember ariana grande explaining why she wrote a song called 6:30. she says it’s because both hands on the clock are down and that represents how down (committed) the person is for the relationship. and what do we call our little mindflayer dimension?? oh yeah that’s right— THE UPSIDE DOWN.

and if hopper discovered will’s body at 6:35, they could’ve chosen that time as a small little detail to say will’s in the upside down. they could’ve chosen the library clocks getting closer to 6pm because times running out to save hawkins from becoming the upside down. and the mall clock is at 6:30 to show times up hawkins can’t be saved…

i just think it’s interesting. idk if it means anything other than the stranger things crew really puts a lot of thought into their details and it’s not some big revelation, but interesting for sure.

also what comes after 6?? 7.. which we all know about sevengate.
