On the drive back to the apartment after dropping off Elie and Miko at each of their houses, I got all weird and gay and started thinking about you (of course, when am I ever not thinking about you) and I had a very pleasant thought! I have this thought somewhat regularly, but it never fails to make my heart do the swoopy thing: not only did we start 2016 together, but we had a New Year's kiss. And we had that super serious conversation about how shitty 2015 was and stuff. I'm so so so glad I got to end the shittiest year of my life on such a high note, and I'm even more glad that I got to start this one with you. But yeah. I kind of remember that now and then and have to catch my breath because that's a real thing that happened. I love you a lot, you know? You are my very favorite everything and I'm so lucky and grateful that you chose me to be with and stuff. Elie has taken it upon themselves to remind me of that often: "Alfie loves you. He doesn't want anyone but you because he didn't think he'd want anyone at all. He l o o o v e s you." To which my response is always "shhhhhut up" because I am bad at responding to nice things. I can say them to any and everyone, but the second someone does the same for me I get very confused. Anywho. I may have to leave at like 4:30 to bring something to my dad which is frustrating because that cuts into my time with you (which is ILLEGAL) but I'm going to stall for as long as I can. In the meantime, I'll be sorting through my laundry and listening to The Last Five Years soundtrack while I wait to hear from you. ♡
