here's hoping that helly r has been euridice all along and gemma is persephone. like i need gemma to be able to leave. and honestly at this point gemma's chances look better than helly's. i think ms. casey and all the other severed gemma personalities would happily die for gemma to live. but helena's not going down without a fight and mark is too busy looking back at gemma to help.

I'm sure everyone has said this on my beloved Overanalysis Site™ but I'm so obsessed with the fact that this episode is our first encounter with warm colour palette

Yes!!!!! Gemma made Mark's life meaningful and gave it warmth and colour, and it manifests in the filtered sunlight and dusty bookshelves and vivid warm green plants!! It's sunny, people smile! Grief has yet to line the faces of our cast!

The juxtaposition of that versus Mark's ikea core Lumon standard suburbian house (dark, cold, the lightbulb is broken) and Gemma's new room (a white void prison with the illusion of comfort)

the new severance episode made me feel a lot of emotions i wasn’t expecting but the biggest shock was in convincing me that mark scout is hot

meanwhile gemma is in a fallout vault experiment

Gemma’s and Marks chemistry is so entirely off the scale it’s kinda hard for me to care about the Mark Helly/Helena thing anymore. I still find Helly and Helena interesting as characters, but their ships with Mark have been just obliterated by the Mark and Gemma of it all for me. And I say all of that knowing they’re gonna pull something next week that will probably draw me right back in.
