Once they are fully reintegrated and safe, and Lumon is gone (or whatever happens in canon, if you want to go by that bc reintergration isn't fair on both halves of the innie and the outie) Mark and Helly spend their anniversies in countries that lie where The Equator is.

After reintegration, the combined innie and outie selves have a fear of elevators since they remember everything. If they can, they'll avoid it by taking the stairs or escalators. Irving was probably swearing but trying to keep cool and stay calm while his heart is pounding and his blood is running cold, momentarily convincing himself that he's going to face the horrors of the Severed floor again. But he grounds himself, talking himself out of it and willing his sweaty palms to go back to normal because he's free from Lumon. Even though he's not reintegrate in season two, it will be ten times worse once he is because he'll remember not just half a life, but all of it. He has all the memories now, but hopefully he'll have the macrodata team to talk this through with.

Helly has it even worse, because once she reuntergrates, she will have some Helena still in her, so it's a fear response either way. Both versions of the woman hated the situations they were in, but r!Helly holds r!Mark's hand as tight as he's squeezing hers, so they make it up that first terrifying elevator journey together with breathing excersises, and being there for eachother, even after the uncontrollable shaking and sobbing stops for them both.

(When I myself am faced with very uncomfortable situations, I lose control of my body and shake, even as I try to rationalise with myself. I believe that's my anxiety acting up. Recently, I've been sobbing so hard and so much I was having trouble gasping for breath. I also have an irrational fear of escalators, so I just try to focus on the knowledge of times before that nothing bad will happen)

If they ever played regular music at Lumon, Helly would be baffled at the fact that she knows the words to any Taylor Swift song, and suddenly feels much more joyful. That's because Helena is a swiftie, and she and Natalie use some of their days off to go to Taylor concerts when she's touring. (Idk if Lumon workers have days off, just going to pretend they do)

(Natalie's actress was in an advert for Taylor, and it helped her out financially)

Mark Scout headcanon

Whether he has a new partner or he reunites with Gemma, if there's a moving car anywhere like on a busy road they're crossing, he'll instinctively hold them closer, despite knowing what he knows. His partner gently reassures him they are fine, but because they love him, they don't protest to the increased physical contact, whether its him gripping their hand together or his hand going to their waist to pull them closer

In modern severence aus, Milchick is a stage actor. He's in musicals a lot, he's renowned as one of the best and more charismatic dancers

I headcanon that someone in the Severence universe goes around to Mark Scout's house. Either Devon or Helena or a reitergrated Macrodata crew member. Regardless of if he knows them or not, hell be weirded out. They'll look at him apologetically, apologise for the intrusion and tell him 'I think you'll need this' they hand him a wrapped book.

'Go on, open it' they encourage him after he carries on looking dumbfounded and like an asshold, bc he is.

He tears away the wrapping. It's Matthew Perry's autobiography, because lately I myself have been reading it, and it is essentially a warning about alcoholism and drug use. As much as I think drinking does help me myself, I'm only a social drinker and I only drink with other people. Whenever I get drunk, I embarrass myself by sobbing or being much too loud anyway lol
