It took a moment for Lan Wangji to realize he had been slapped. “Pay attention when I’m talking to you,” one of the Wen soldiers barked. Lan Wangji glanced at his face for a short moment before demonstratively looking off into the middle-distance again.

Dee’s thoughts - I think donghua WWX lovers will like this. He is BAMF and vicious at places. LWJ is quietly concerned but also so enamoured. They’re not together yet but you can see how much they care for each other. Best part, LWJ can see how much WWX cares about him. Protective WWX is such a rare treat.
Ju’s thoughts - Who doesn’t like BAMF WWX??? It’s impossible! And if he’s there to save LWJ? Even better! It’s LWJ’s POV, and you get to feel angry as he was, and then to see WWX again? And to feel finally safe in his arms? Ohhh yeah! I just think it’s pre-wangxian, as they are not together in the fic, even if the feelings are there.
