Judging me?

So. I've noticed a lot of people in the town I moved to are very vocal about the number of sexual partners they have had. It is significantly lower than mine (I didn't tell them how many guys/girls I've been intimate with) but they basically were shaming people for having more than 4 sexual partners. Is it just me who thinks 1.) none of their business and 2.) as long as one is being safe that number is up to you? And doesn't make you a bad person?
