Ari, please tell me about Jarica babies.
okay so @businessboyjared and I have IDEAS on this topic (yes this is an invitation to add anything I forget)
first of all Jared is definitely the most overbearing affectionate Involved husband while Monica is pregnant, and after the baby (named Nora) is born, he wakes up to soothe her in the middle of the night and convinced Monica to pump milk so he can do the middle-of-the-night feeding.
They go all-out with baby stuff - every time one of them sees a cute toy they buy it for the baby, they paint the nursery a nice mint green cause they opt to keep the sex of the baby a mystery (plus Jared’s like “well we don’t want to force a gender role on them”) they buy the safest car seat and stroller and crib and everything, Jared reads every parenting book he can find...it gets wild.
Monica’s mom sends her a shitton of baby photos of her when she finds out, and after Jared’s seen all the embarrassing pictures of tiny little Monica, she says “well now it’s your turn to embarrass yourself” and immediately regrets it when Jared quietly gets up and brings her the three childhood pictures of himself he managed to hold on to and she sees how small and thin and frightened and lonely he looks in every single photo taken after his mom’s death, and she hugs him and cries and after that she takes tons of photos of him and baby Nora so he at least has pictures of the wonderful person he grew into.
Jared’s scared that his trauma will make him a bad parent but once Nora is born he’s the most wonderful perfect dad any child could ask for, and he’s a bit of a dork sometimes but he cares so much about making her happy and keeping her safe.
