the wedding - hwiyoung x reader arranged marriage au
finally getting around to the ending. thank you to everyone who pushed me to flesh this one out into this whole series. i hope you've enjoyed.
One thing about Kim Youngkyun is that he's always going to take your breath away. You've already seen him all dressed up in his suit and tie, hair styled, and yet that moment when you step into the aisle of the church and lock eyes with him feels like the first time you're seeing him today. He smiles so wide you don't know how it doesn't hurt and it flashes you back to every time you've seen each other of the last many months. How he's always looked at you warmly, and how his smile grew fonder over time, but still none of those moments felt quite like this.
Your father's arm keeps you steady as he leads you down the aisle, his presence at your side the only thing keeping you from tripping in your heels as you keep pace with his even strides. The pride on his face as you reach the front and he turns to hug you before handing you over to your husband-to-be almost has you crying. Almost.
"I asked you once if you were sure about this wedding y/n," Your father shakes his head softly as he pulls back, head resting against yours for just a second. "the look on that boy's face, and on yours today, say that you were right when you told me yes."
You nod and your father pats Youngkyun's shoulder as he places your hands in his.
"Hi."
Youngkyun laughs. "Hey."
You reach up to brush a stray tear from his cheek. He leans into your touch, eyes sparkling as he watches you in a way you can't describe as anything other than pure adoration. It warms you inside.
"Are you ready to do this?"
You nod and let him lead you up the few steps onto the altar. You can see Youngbin behind Youngkyun, Inseong and Chani and Taeyang beside him. The pale blue of their suits is bright in the lighting up here and you finally lose it when your brother's eyes meet yours over Youngkyun's head. Inseong just nods and the smile he gives you says everything.
Youngkyun squeezes your hands as your eyes water. "Hey there beautiful girl, don't go crying on me just yet. We still have to get through the vows first."
It makes you laugh and lightens the mood just enough to let you blink away the tears. He gives you a moment and when you nod your okay, he turns to your officiant to let them know you’re ready to begin.
The ceremony feels like it flies by. Maybe because you spend most of it staring at Youngkyun and wondering how this moment can be real. How it can finally ve happening. When he slips the wedding band he picked out on your finger it's like the world slides back into place again and before you know it you're clasping hands, both now wearing double rings, and turning to see all your closest friends clapping for you. Their smiles make yours tug wider against your cheeks and then Youngkyun is leading you past the pews and out towards the bridal suite for a moment to yourselves while everyone relocates for the reception.
You blink as the door to the room closes behind you and then he’s there. Looming. So close you can feel the heat of him everywhere. Youngkyun leans his forehead against yours, eyes closing, and just breathes. You laugh softly.
"You okay there handsome?"
He hums an affirmative, hands resting lightly on your waist.
"Do you have any idea how stunning you look right now?"
You forgot that you had seen him but he hadn't seen you, not until you walked down that aisle with your dad and the final dress reveal happened. You reach up to brush your thumb over his cheekbone. He blinks at you, eyes fluttering open as he leans back just a little to take you in.
Your hair has been twisted and styled and pinned with so many pearls and little gems you're sure it must sparkle under the lights. It makes you feel like a princess. You don’t hate it. Youngkyun just leans in to steal another kiss. Slow and soft and full of all the love that has your heart feeling ready to burst at just the sight of him.
"You like the dress?"
He sighs softly. "I love the dress, but sweetheart you could wear a paper bag and I'd still think you were beautiful."
You just shake your head, smiling as he steps back and moves to unclip the veil where it sits folded back behind the little tiara Minju picked out for you. The sapphires in his engagement ring wink as he moves, matching the ones in the dainty little jewelry woven through your hair. Right on cue, as if you've summoned her with that thought, your sister-in-law peeks her head into the room.
"Everyone is making their way to the reception hall, we're ready for you two whenever you're finished gawking at each other."
Youngkyun huffs at his sister. "We're not gawking Min."
She opens her mouth to tease him, smiling at you, when Youngbin steps into the room around her.
"Min, Mom wants your help at the card table. Something about arranging the gifts?"
She nods and pats his shoulder. "I'll leave getting the happy couple to the reception room to you then."
Youngbin blinks at her sudden disappearance as Minju quickly walks away. You laugh softly and Youngkyun turns to his brother with a soft smile. You haven’t seen them so civil in years.
"Could you help me with this? It clips into her hair around the back, I don't want to ruin the style but I can't see to get the last few ones out."
Youngbin nods and the two of them make quick work of your veil. They don't have much time to bicker the way Youngkyun and Minju always do because your brother is the next unexpected guest and, to absolutely no one's surprise, it takes all three men to figure out how to remove the train from your dress so they can escort you to the reception.
By the time you walk in, hand in hand with your new husband, the mingling has already started and Mrs. Kim just shakes her head at the boys before shooing them off to meet important business partners while you and Youngkyun find your parents.
Mr. Kim is the first one to pull you into a hug and Youngkyun almost has to fight his own father for your time the way he swings his arm around your shoulders abd proudly shows off his new daughter-in-law to everyone who will let him boast about you.
You can't help laughing about it just a little and Youngkyun whines in your ear about it when Taeyang finally swoops in to save you with some help from Sanghyuk, trotting Mr. Kim away with questions about his latest business venture while your husband sweeps you away to greet his grandparents next. By the time you've made your rounds of the room you regret not vetoeing the heels despite how gorgeous they are. Your feet are beginning to ache and Youngkyun doesn't hesitate to make excuses to cut conversations short until he's pulled back your chair and made sure you kick them off under the table.
"Better?"
You nod. "So much."
He laughs softly. "I'll ask Chae to bring your slippers when she comes up to do her toast."
"You really planned for everything huh?"
He just smiles. "I like to think I know my wife pretty well."
You just shake your head and turn to the crowded room as everyone takes their seats. Youngkyun reaches for your hand and you lace your fingers together without thinking.
"You know me better than anyone else in this room, including myself sometimes."
His smile could light up the entire country the way he beams at you. You catch a glimpse of Youngbin over your husband's shoulder as you finally look away from that blinding smile and he holds up his champagne glass in a silent toast. For the first time since you stepped off that plane, you find yourself thankful for his cowardice. By running away, he opened the door to the future that led you here.
Youngkyun catches the way your gaze lingers and shakes his head as he turns to see what you're looking at. His brother just smiles back.
"You sure you married the right Kim? You two still do that weird telepathy thing you used to."
You laugh softly, "Feeling left out baby?" nudging Youngkyun's shoulder lightly. "I'm sure. It took me a little detour to find out but I'm more than sure."
His expression softens as he slips an arm around the back of your chair, leaning in to rest his forehead against yours. "Good, because you're stuck with me now y/n. 'Til death do us part and all that."
You just shake your head. "I made my choice gladly Kyun. I'd marry you all over again any day."
He only whines a little when Minju steps over to steal you away for the bouquet toss. And your words ring true. You're glad things worked out the way they did because every time you catch your husband's eye through the crowd, over your dad's shoulder as he spins you through the father daughter dance, or when you find yourself staring up at him as Youngkyun finds his way back to your side, your heart still manages to skip a beat. Or three. He's right. The wedding could have been two witnesses in an office at the courthouse and you would have been just as happy.
"Hey Kyun?"
"Hmm?"
"Thank you, for agreeing to this."
He just grins.
"Thank you for finally giving me a chance."
And just like that, you know you've found your happy ending. However your career goes, wherever that takes you, as long as Youngkyun stays by your side it will all have been worth the rude it took you both to get here tonight.

Thinking of Rich! Single dad! Juho who hires you to be a full time caretaker for his cute little baby boy, who finds bonding with his son easier when he has you next to him, who is so thankful that you love his son almost as much as his mother would've, who can't help but think at times about how soft you'll feel under his touch, how he'll have to shush you cause the baby is sleeping before kissing your neck, how tight you'll feel around his fingers that'll make him wonder how will you possibly take his cock without tearing up from the stretch and the pleasure.
Thinking about how Juho will not know how to process your lingering touches when you give him his baby boy and when you stay near them for a few more seconds just to be close to him.
Thinking of Juho who will start to get cocky once he notices how flustered you get around him, who grins when you start avoiding him because you notice how attractive he is.
Thinking of how Juho will be surprised when you lose control and kiss his cheek when he's playing with his son.
Thinking of Juho who grabs your wrist to pull you close and back you up till you feel the kitchen counter digging into your back.
"How long do plan on making me suffer my love?"
Thinking of Juho who leans down to peck your lips, but stops because he doesn't have your consent.
Thinking of Juho who moans the moment he feels your lips connect, who loses all control and kisses you till you're dizzy, who groans when your hands touch his bare back under his shirt, who swears he hasn't seen anyone as beautiful as you.
Thinking of how Juho will lay you on the kitchen counter to eat you out, moaning loudly at your taste, digging his fingers into your plush thighs, nose nudging your clit as his tongue shamelessly laps your cunt.
Thinking of how he won't stop till you cum twice from his tongue, making you as drunk on him as he is on you. With teary eyes you kiss him, tasting yourself on his tongue, breathing heavily, trying to calm down from your heavenly orgasm(s).
You enter the bathroom, having just gotten out of bed and rubbing some sleep from your eyes, you’ve been awake for a while now, and you had heard Taeyang in the bathroom and ultimately decided that it was time to get up.
You pause at the door and watch as he applied shaving cream to his face, pulling faces as he did to get it everywhere, which made you smile as you watched him. He spots you through the mirror and smiles before rinsing his hands and grabbing the razor.
“Wait,” You say and quickly step towards him. “Can I help you?” You shyly ask. “Or do it for you?” He turns to you, softness in his eyes.
“You wanna help?” He asks, his tone soft as he spoke. You nod your head, and he takes a few steps back to sit down on the toilet seat. “Okay, come here,” You step towards him, he spreads his legs wider, and you move to stand between them, he lifts his hand that held the razor, and you take it from him. He moves his hands onto your hips, and he slowly slides them to rest them on your lower back to keep you close. “You know how?”
“Hmm,” You hum. He nods his head before lifting his head, you carefully move the razor closer to him before pressing it against his jaw. “Well… I hope,” You jokingly say, watching several emotions go through his eyes before he realized you were joking.
“You…” He mumbles, which causes you to chuckle as you carefully glide the razor along his jaw before moving onto the next party. He keeps his eyes on you as they soften even more, the way you looked focused as you worked on his face, you always tell him, it’s not needed for him to shave, and you wanted to feel his stubble against your skin, but he was too used to his routine.
“What are you staring at?” You mutter as you turn your upper body towards the bathroom counter to put the razor down and reach the towel, you feel his fingers bunch up your pj shirt before feeling the warmth of his fingertips touch your skin before his hands were fully pressing against your skin.
“You,” He says. You turn back to him and gently pat clean the remaining cream on his face, your eyes meet, and you could see the softness glowing in them, the adoration, the love.
“Me?” You repeat in a whisper. He nods his head, you lower the towel before placing it on the counter, you reach with one hand and carefully run your hand along his face, feeling for anything you may have missed.
“Yes, you,” He says. “The feelings you have me feel…” Your fingers pause on his chin. “The love I receive from you, the care…” His voice was slowly becoming softer and lower as he spoke. “You… being so… you,” You could feel your heart picking up as it fluttered. “Everything about you…” You feel your shirt being pushed higher before he pushes his face against your belly, softly kissing the spot above your belly button.
“Taeyang…” You whisper, your hand moving onto his shoulder to hold onto him. He looks up at you, and you could see the emotion in his eyes, on his face, even if you could only see half of his face. You feel another kiss being left behind on your belly before you move lower, cupping his cheeks and pulling him into a kiss, his hands slide higher up your back and hold onto you. He could feel love practically being poured onto him through your kiss. He knew just how much you cared about him, and he was glad he had found you, glad he had found comfort with you, glad he could be himself without any kind of mask on with you, he had found home in you.
He Holds Your Son For The First Time ~ Yoo Taeyang
A smile of appreciation formed on your face, as it did on Taeyang’s face as your midwife finally left your suite of the hospital wing. A sigh of relief came from the two of you, glad that everything was all over, and that you were left alone at last.
Taeyang couldn’t help but sit down on the edge of the bed beside you without the midwife there to tell him to give you and your son a bit of space, peering over you to be able to take a close look at your son who was in your arms.
“I never imagined that holding my baby would feel like this,” you whispered across to him as Taeyang’s eyes looked across to meet yours.
“I bet it feels a bit surreal, right?” He asked you with a smile.
Your head nodded in agreement with him straight away, struggling to find the words to describe how overwhelmed you were. It felt like a dream for you, especially as it had been a moment that you’d dreamt about often throughout your pregnancy.
All of the pain and discomfort had been worth it, for the both of you. Taeyang was still slightly convinced that his hand was broken from how hard you had gripped it, but that didn’t stop him from smiling as he looked at his complete family sat just beside him.
“He’s so small,” Taeyang whispered as he studied him closely, shaking his head in awe. “I never thought a human could be as small as this Y/N.”
“You know you were this small once,” you laughed back at him.
Taeyang poked his tongue out in response to you, trying his best to make his point that he was tiny without you managing to prove him wrong, just as you always seemed to do.
“Why don’t you hold him for a little while?” You offered as Taeyang shuffled around on the end of the bed. “I mean I can’t sit here and hold him forever; I know you’re nervous, but what better time is there for you to hold him then now?”
“N-now?” Taeyang stuttered, knowing that the smile on his face had dropped. Instead he looked to you fearfully, terrified of being the one to do something wrong.
Your head shook at Taeyang as you encouraged him to sit back on the bed properly before extending his arms out. You slowly leant forwards and placed your son into his arms, making sure that his grip was secure before letting go and moving away.
“That’s it,” you told Taeyang as his nervous eyes looked across to you as soon as he realised that your hands had moved away. “There’s nothing to be worried about, you’ve got him perfectly.”
As soon as he was in his hold, Taeyang’s eyes looked down in awe. You’d never seen his smile so wide as big eyes stared back up at him too. “Aren’t you just perfect?” He laughed down at your son, knowing full well that he wouldn’t reply.
It seemed as you watched on that Taeyang was well and truly in his element, surprising you by just how well he took to things. For the past nine months he had been worried about messing up on the big moments, but his first time holding your son couldn’t have gone any better, much to his relief.
He didn’t need you at all as he got comfortable, quickly getting the hang of things. “Let me ask you the same question Tae, does it feel a little bit surreal right now?”
“If it wasn’t for the fact that I was holding my baby who is only two hours old, I would definitely ask you to pinch me right now,” he laughed in reply to your question, “none of this feels real right now, like I’m in some sort of movie that’s just a dream.”
Your head nodded in agreement, knowing exactly what Taeyang was thinking. “You’ve got plenty of time for this to sink in,” you encouraged, “in fact I’ve probably say you’ve got the rest of your life to get all the cuddles in the world from this little one.”
Taeyang’s head shook as his eyes quickly fell back down on your son again. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was, he already felt on top of the world with the group, and being with you, but your son was the best possible icing on top of the cake for him.
“I can’t wait to take him home and introduce him to everyone,” you whispered across to him.
Taeyang’s eyes lit up even at the thought, “the boys are going to be obsessed with him, we’ll never get a look in with them around.”
“I wonder if he has even the slightest clue of how spoilt he’s going to be.”
Taeyang’s head shook as you spoke, his innocent smile let the two of you know just how clueless he was. There was so much about the world that neither of you could wait to teach him, and plenty to introduce him to as well.
“Did you see the state of the studio the last time we visited before he arrived?” Taeyang reminded you, “they’ll be gifts everywhere.”
You could hardly forget your final visit to see the boys before finding yourself staying at home awaiting labour. They had been all over you and your bump, with each one of them making their own promise that they would be the best uncle you could have ever wished for your son to have once he safely arrived.
“We might have to make sure that one of them doesn’t run away with him,” you joked, “with eyes as stunning as his are, I can imagine a few of the boys getting wrapped around his little finger pretty quickly.”
A hum of agreement came from Taeyang, followed by a chuckle. “I wouldn’t just worry about the boys being put under her spell; I think he’s already got me pretty hooked; I just can’t stop looking at him Y/N.”
“I can tell by the look in your eyes,” you responded, knowing exactly how in awe Taeyang was, recognising the expression after so many years together.
“You did amazing growing this little one,” he suddenly told you with a wide smile on his face, “I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect son,” he added, finding himself looking at you, but only for the briefest of moments.
It was unlike Taeyang to pour his heart out to you but having your son in his arms definitely brought out the side of him that just started spilling out all of his emotions.
“I couldn’t have done it without you right by my side, not even just today Taeyang, but the past nine months as a whole.”
He always liked to downplay the role that he had in your pregnancy, but you knew just how important Taeyang was. You’d lost count of the number of times he’d helped you out or fixed a tricky situation for you.
“I can’t believe that I can finally call myself a dad,” Taeyang whispered as your son’s eyes began to close in his hold. “I can’t even tell you how many times I dreamt of all these little things whilst you were pregnant Y/N, and now that he’s here, they’re all finally starting to come true and happen for us.”
Your head nodded in agreement with Taeyang, “I think it’s going to take a good while for all of this to sink in.”

ALL IT TOOK to get Hwiyoung in your life was a dent in your car. Well, to be fair it was a little bit more than a dent in your car, but at least it hadn’t been totaled.
And it hadn’t been your fault.
Some ass ran the red light, crashed into the passenger side of your beautiful BMW, dragging you to the other side of the street and then, had the audacity to run away. It sounds worse than it was, really. Of course your dad obsessed about it though, thinking someone had done it on purpose because you were his daughter.
Senator y/ln’s—and future Governor y/ln— daughter, had obviously become a target. Took long enough, a couple months of campaign and a few years being a Senator. It didn’t matter how many times you told him it had been an accident. It was raining and the stupid driver hadn’t seen the light changing to red, they’d gotten scared once they realized what type of car was now embedded in the opposite corner of the street and therefore, ran away so as to not to pay for the damage.
You didn’t need a bodyguard, or more like a babysitter. You were old enough to take care of yourself and it had been one accident.
But no, since a few days ago and probably until forever, you were stuck with Hwiyoung 24/7.
“Please do not take that with you,” you requested, trying to input as much authority as you could muster into your voice while giving a pointed look to Hwiyoung’s gun holster, under his suit jacket.
“I have to.” Hwiyoung replied, in that it’s-so-obvious tone he gave you almost every time he talked to you. Which wasn’t very often.
From the moment he met you, Hwiyoung seemed to have already made up his mind about you. So all he’d said was his name and how he would take ‘really good care’ of you, this being mostly directed at your dad, because he gave him the job and it was Hwiyoung’s duty to keep it now.
“No, you don’t,” you insisted, pointing to the gun directly with your right hand. The one that wasn’t wrapped up in a black brace, still from the car thing. “Leave it.”
“No.” Hwiyoung’s upper lip twitched slightly in annoyance. You two held this discussion every single day before you left the house. “Are you ready to go–” he seemed to dig the word out of the depths of his throat before letting it out. “Miss?”
Hwiyoung had taken the job because he needed it, not because he wanted it. He needed to get out of Chanhee’s apartment, to stop sleeping on his couch and taking on the underground fighting challenges anyone threw his way just to be able to ‘help a little’ with the rent.
He’d hit rock bottom six months before. Lost his job, his girlfriend and his pride. Former detective Kim Hwiyoung had fucked up, after the system let one of the animals he took so much pride in chasing, walk free after murdering his whole family. Hwiyoung had lost it although it wasn’t the first time it happened, that they let a man live without consequence. But he’d almost jumped the accused in court, it had taken three officials to hold him back and then he’d been suspended.
Hwiyoung became angry, disobedient and to be honest, slightly violent. And after three reports for insubordination, a gunshot wound that kept him in the hospital for two weeks and his partner begging for another person—anyone really— to take Hwiyoung’s place, they gave him the boot.
Iseul left him when the underground fighting started. She couldn’t and didn’t have to put up with him. Yes, she loved him and she’d said so even as she left the promise ring he gifted her on their third anniversary on the kitchen table. No screaming, no fighting, nothing from either side.
Hwiyoung sometimes thought he should have fought. Or better yet, begged. Begged her not to leave him, promised that he would change and stop coming home with bloody knuckles, slashed eyebrows and busted lips. But he didn’t, because he knew he wouldn't keep the promise longer than a week.
–
“Not until you leave that,” you pressed. “Now.”
“I’ve already said no,” he ran two fingers through his black hair, something he did every time he was starting to get pissed. Opening the SUV’s door, he signaled inside. “You don’t want to be late.”
You didn’t want to be late, no. But you didn’t want him carrying a gun around not ever. It made you anxious and frankly, he wouldn’t need it. What exactly was he keeping you safe from? Nothing suspicious had happened to you before the car accident, so Hwiyoung’s presence was useless. It would have sufficed with a chauffeur, not a bodyguard.
You cringed to yourself the moment the thought crossed your mind.
Spoiled brat.
Not that you acted like that usually, but you knew it still would come across wrong.
Hwiyoung looked at you through the rearview mirror, like he’d guessed what you thought and agreed with you. So you looked away, emphasizing the scowl on your lips as he left the house’s garage.
_
“Oh, he’s so handsome!” your friend gushed, leaning over the mimosa on her side of the table one inch away from spilling it all over.
“Eh,” you replied, shrugging. You knew exactly what she was looking at, or who. Hwiyoung a few tables away, already on his fourth cup of coffee, looking around the restaurant and letting his gaze fall over the two of you exactly every two minutes. “I guess so.”
“You guess so?” Aya raised her eyebrows, grabbing the mimosa and sipping it. “Girl he’s literally—”
“Don’t, please.”
You’d heard it once, so you heard it a thousand times. Every place you went to, everyone spoke about how tall and handsome Hwiyoung had to watch your back, and that had to be some sort of lucky strike. Having to hang out with someone like that must be amazing.
Only it wasn’t. But it didn’t matter that you said Hwiyoung was bitter and lowkey rude, everyone in their right mind could overlook that, focusing only on the stray strand of black hair that fell in the middle of his forehead, his dark eyes and broad shoulders, his figure accentuated by the black suit he wore per your father’s orders.
“Fine,” Aya made a scene of capturing her lower lip as she pronounced the ‘f’. “But he is.”
A glare from you and a laugh on her part and Hwiyoung was back at staring at the two of you.
“Whatever, really.” you sipped your own mimosa, glad that since the weekend was approaching Hwiyoung and you could take a break from each other. Or as much a break that living in the same property allowed.
✳︎ ✳︎ ✳︎
Hwiyoung was back on Chanhee’s couch on Friday night. At least this time it wasn’t out of need, he just wanted to hang out with his friend. Okay, honestly he needed to hang out with his best friend.
“So,” Chanhee started, leaving a newly opened bottle of beer right next to the one Hwiyoung had just emptied. “Tough week at work?”
Hwiyoung groaned, his lips on the new brown bottle already.
“I’ll take that as a yes,”
“She’s a princess. It’s—” gross? exhausting? his only damned chance at getting back on his feet and that’s why he hated it?
But there was also the fact that he did think of you as a princess. All he’d done all week was follow you around brunch dates with noisy—and nosy— friends, shopping, public events where your main task was to smile and wave and pose for photographs next to your father.
At least now he had a house, or something like it. A one-bedroom-and-kitchen-mini-thing on the oh so prestigious y/ln realm. At least he had a salary which he got paid by the week, meaning he paid off his debt to Chanhee the moment he showed up at the apartment that night.
So yeah, after being a Homicides Detective he was taking care of a spoiled brat, Iseul wouldn’t talk to him and he still felt like he would go crazy from time to time. But at least he wasn’t sleeping on a couch anymore.
And the fighting had stopped. Although he didn’t want it to, it was a release every time he was in that filthy, illegal ring. But he couldn’t afford to go to work looking like he’d taken (and given) a beating.
“They’re the new royalty, that family,” Chani said plopping down next to him on the couch. “But at least you’re getting paid.”
Hwiyoung rolled his eyes. It was true, his boss was the soon to be king of the city and of course the daughter would be the princess. Both of them already believed themselves in that role, what could be different once it was made official? Senator y/ln had everyone in his pocket already.
“Not enough,” he said bitterly, gulping the beer down and suddenly really, really missing being in the ring, getting his hands dirty.
THE DINNER PARTY was going to take place at the Crown Hotel’s main ballroom. One of the last ones your dad offered as the campaign closing approached. Everything and anything to thank his team and supporters. And of course you had to attend. Because voters loved seeing a happy family and a faithful daughter supporting her father on his way to (even greater) success. So there you were on a warm Friday night, in a dress far more expensive than needed be, sitting next to your father while he spoke to whomever he deemed important to assure him a win in the election.
Your father was a good person, and he loved you, of course. Otherwise he wouldn’t have forced you to keep Hwiyoung by your side for two months now. Hwiyoung, who looked bored out of his mind as he stood in the corners of the room, switching positions with the rest of the security team every few minutes so they all could have a look around and probably not fall asleep on the post.
But your father was also ambitious and sometimes appearances mattered to him more than they should. And he didn’t care that sometimes instead of his daughter, you were his tool. Because young people could feel related to you, and you looked delighted in every picture the press took of you and the way you looked didn’t hurt either. It was a running joke—one you abhorred—that you were the visual attraction of the campaign, and that your father got requests for your hand in marriage very often.
You could only hope that his ambition didn’t cloud his judgment enough to actually sell his own daughter out.
“I think I should go home,” you whispered to your father, as the ballroom started to clear out. Only the very important people would remain behind and the politics discussions that would take place were not of your interest. Plus, you had to be up early the next day.
Your father squeezed your arm gently, thanking you for joining him before placing a kiss on your cheek. “Make sure Kim calls when you get home safely,”
You nodded. “Good luck.”
A signal from your father’s hand and Hwiyoung was on the move, ready to escort you back to the car. He didn’t say a word, but that wasn’t unusual. After two months on the job, you were used to him only speaking when necessary, his range going from ‘yes, miss’ ‘no, miss’ and ‘ok’.
You walked behind Hwiyoung to the underground parking lot, holding the lower part of your dress so as not to trip while the voices of your father’s team became more distorted with the distance. Arriving at the lobby, you were met by a crowd of photographers, the hotel’s security struggling to make them leave and stop disturbing the rest of the guests.
You smiled at them politely as Hwiyoung parted the crowd, lips curling when reporters got too close or too loud, shouting questions on what you were going to do if your father became the Governor, or how you were going to spend his (and the city’s) money. You made no reply, there had been worse things shouted at you and written about you in the papers. Including the exaggeration of the accident where they said you totaled the BMW, but didn’t care because daddy would buy you a new one in the blink of an eye.
Finally, you got rid of them as you took the elevator to the parking lot. Sighing you let yourself rest against the cool railing in the back of the cube, you were exhausted. Hwiyoung looked at you over his shoulder, his eyes becoming smaller as he took in your tiredness, he was judging you.
“Did I do something to offend you?” you questioned as he opened the door of the SUV. Your BMW was good as new now, but on nights like these you still used the SUVs for security reasons. “Hwiyoung?”
His eyes, lost somewhere behind you as he held the door open, focused on you. “Why would you ask that, miss?”
“Well, you seem to dislike me more than usual tonight. Did I do something to offend you on this fine, and extremely busy workday?” you made sure your words dripped sarcasm, and remained with your feet on the greasy parking lot floor.
“Is this fun for you? Provoking your employees?” Hwiyoung scowled.
“Only when my employees hate their job yet for some reason won’t quit.”
Hwiyoung was losing his patience, and it was very likely that, if he hadn't been interrupted by the car that was directing its headlights at the two of you, you would have kicked him out of the job. He bit the words threatening to spill back, squinting at the car to get a look at the driver, but it was impossible.
“Please get in,” he said then, not liking the way the lights were still focused on you.
“Fine.”
You’re both inside in ten seconds, Hwiyoung turned the car on, its own headlights making it impossible to distinguish the car that was watching you as it leaves the parking lot before you.
“I can tell that you hate me,” you were watching him through the rearview mirror, noticing his grip on the steering wheel tightening at your words. “Your mind was made up even before your first day in this job, and I guess mine is made up now. So just do your job and try not to look so fucking bitter to have me around.”
Hwiyoung didn’t talk back, biting the inside of his cheek hard enough to draw blood. The metallic taste was the only thing that kept him focused on the way to your house as he avoided meeting your penetrating gaze in the mirror.
“You’re spoiled,” he said after you had descended from the van and he’d shut the door with enough force to make the windows rumble. “You act like your life is difficult when all you have to do is smile and wave while looking pretty.”
“You’re right, I look damn good doing it,” you retorted, a dismissive gesture from your hand accompanying your words as you walked to the exit of the garage. “It’s kind of disappointing you couldn’t find a more original reason to hate me, Hwiyoung. I guess you’re as bright as they come.”
The insult stung, but he didn’t want to dig his grave deeper, so Hwiyoung gritted his teeth and stalked on the opposite direction you did, towards his stupid guest house.
IT WAS THE MONEY. It was obvious now, the reason Hwiyoung stayed under your father’s orders and in charge of your protection was the money. Once you realized that, it would be easier to deal with him, or so you thought.
“We’re not going to have this discussion again,” Hwiyoung warned the moment he noticed the way you were eyeing the gun on his side.
“Leave it,” you said all the same.
“No,”
You took a deep breath, looking at your watch. “I’ll double this week’s payment if you leave the gun today.”
Hwiyoung stopped to consider. Well, money was never enough. He could eventually use it to, what? Move away? Get a motorcycle? He wasn’t stupid enough to think money would bring Iseul back.
Iseul whom he missed most in the world and—
“Yes or no,” you stopped his train of thought in a second, making his attention return fully. “Simple question.”
“Fine,” Hwiyoung unfastened the holster tightened in the middle of his abdomen, before running back to his room to put it in the safe. All he would probably have to deal with were nosy reporters and your equally rich friends, he wouldn’t need the gun, and he was able to handle himself pretty well without it either way.
You were already inside the van when he came back, pressuring him to hurry up the moment he opened the driver’s door.
Hwiyoung took a deep breath. Maybe if he had enough money he wouldn’t move away. He would just quit, like you’d suggested the night at the hotel, a couple weeks back.
“Please follow the GPS route I sent to your cell,” you indicated, your mood completely shifted due the lack of argument. See, things could go peacefully with Hwiyoung if he just listened.
“Sure, miss.” he replied, not even bothering to stare at you from the mirror this time.
✳︎ ✳︎ ✳︎
You stared at Hwiyoung for a long moment once you got out of the car. The BMW obviously stood out in the street, but you knew it was safe to leave it there, you’d come here a hundred times before.
“What?” he asked, opening his jacket to show you once again he wasn’t carrying a weapon. Which, to be honest was a lie, he had a pocket knife on the inside of the jacket.
“Nothing. Let’s go,” you signaled the gray building down the street where you’d parked, making your way towards it without making sure Hwiyoung followed.
Hwiyoung looked around, already expecting the reporters around. He had figured since he saw the address on his phone that this was another one of your incredibly important PR stunts where the princess of the city needed to be accessible and a saint at the same time.
You glanced at him one last time before knocking on the door of the orphanage. Hwiyoung rolled his eyes behind you, if you asked him to take pictures of you himself…
“Oh, hi y/n!” a woman in her late forties chirped as soon as she opened the door, “It’s great to see you.”
“Hi,” you smiled gently at her too, “I’m sorry for taking so long to come back, I had a couple issues and… well, nevermind.”
“We still got everything you sent, thank you,” the woman squeezed your shoulder in a friendly gesture before fixing her eyes on your companion. “Hwang Narae,” she offered her hand.
Hwiyoung looked at you first but since you didn’t immediately say he was your employee, he took the woman’s hand. “Hwiyoung.”
A little girl popped her head from behind the woman’s legs, looking at Hwiyoung first since they were still shaking hands and then at you. “y/n!” her scream was piercing as she pushed both Narae and Hwiyoung out of the way to hug your legs.
“Hi Bora!”
Hwiyoung couldn’t help but frown as you lifted the small girl in your arms, her already speaking about everything you had missed in the month you hadn’t visited the place. Everyone seemed so familiar with you, it was strange. They all seemed to ignore your last name. He looked around again, expecting the reporters to come walking down the street already taking pictures before you disappeared inside. But they never came.
You spent the morning reading to kids who stared at him suspiciously, before whispering in your ear and asking who he was. Your answer every time being ‘a friend who watches my back’.
Hwiyoung stood back most of the time, only moving when a new volunteer arrived. He stared at them from afar and then returned his attention back to you as you let kids braid your hair and show you drawings.
“Would it bother you to read for them with me?” you asked, showing him a book with a couple of bears on the cover. “They want a boy in the boy voice, I am offended, to be honest.”
Hwiyoung suppressed a smile as the kids looked at the both of you. “Why don’t you ask another volunteer? I have to keep my attention on–”
You frowned, there was only one other male volunteer and he honestly gave you the creeps a lot of the time. But Narae said he was good at fixing broken things, that's why he kept coming. “It will take ten minutes, Hwiyoung. And I really don’t want to ask someone else.”
“Fine,” he eyed the kids and nodded. “Let’s do it.”
Hwiyoung and you read some stories to the kids, taking turns at making the voices. Hwiyoung was trying his best not to burst out laughing every time you exaggerated your voice and kids asked him several times to read his with more enthusiasm, but in the end it turned out well.
It was a brief moment as you closed the book and sent the kids to get ready for their lunch, that Hwiyoung thought you weren’t that bad. Everyone knew you and appreciated you, knowing you were there to help without looking for anything in return, not even publicity. You were still stuck-up, annoying and spoiled, but maybe not all of you was like that.
Narae approached quickly, a hand to her mouth while another volunteer led the kids to the dining room.
“What’s wrong?” Hwiyoung asked, noticing the tension in her demeanor.
“Um, something happened— the car—”
Hwiyoung told you to wait inside while he ran out to the street. He could hear the alarm as he ran to the car, and for a moment, he really wished he had a gun. Someone had tried and practically succeeded to destroy your precious BMW. All the windows were broken, the windshield caved towards the inside and the headlights completely shattered. But not even that was the worst part.
The worst part was the word ‘WHORE’ keyed on the driver’s door.
IT WAS USELESS to try and convince your father that nothing was happening. Especially when Narae had called the police before you could advise her against it and Hwiyoung needed to call the rest of the security team to pick you up, and they had realized he didn’t have his gun.
So all hell broke loose in 20 minutes and it continued on to the evening, when your father losing his mind again, yelled at everyone on sight, taking a great amount of time on Hwiyoung himself.
“What if the freak had still been around huh?” your father’s hand came down on the table, hard enough to make you flinch, even as you listened from upstairs. But Hwiyoung didn’t even flinch, he had been on your father’s side of the table countless times before at his old job. He wasn’t easily intimidated. “You couldn’t have done anything to protect my daughter, because you thought it a good a idea to leave your fucking gun!”
You had explained it had been your idea the moment the rest of the security team realized Hwiyoung was unarmed. You didn’t want a gun around children, this wasn’t supposed to happen and Hwiyoung didn’t have to take the blame for anything.
But everyone refused to listen to you.
“I should fire you right now!” another hit on the table, “You can’t even do your job right!”
Hwiyoung remained silent. He had given his version too, saying you were absolutely right about not wanting a weapon in the orphanage and added that he had a pocket knife anyway, but it didn’t matter. According to everyone you could have gotten killed and he was useless.
“Get out of my sight,” your father finally lowered his voice, “I don’t have time to deal with you right now. But don’t get too comfortable, you might still be out of here by tomorrow.”
Hwiyoung nodded calmly, yet as he kept his hands inside his pockets, they turned into fists.
✳︎ ✳︎ ✳︎
HWIYOUNG TOOK THE hit directly to the jaw, his bare back hitting the dirt with a thud. One side of the crowd cheered while the other half booed, a few voices louder than the rest encouraged him to get up. They had bet a lot of money on him, and he was letting them down.
Spitting blood to the dirt, he got up. The guy, his nickname was ‘Brick’ or something like that, was already smiling in triumph. Hwiyoung inhaled sharply, shaking the remnants of his dizziness.
What did it matter if it looked like he’d taken a beating at this point? Mr. y/ln had said he could still be out of the house by the next morning. Which brought him back to the exact place he’d tried to escape in the past months: rock bottom.
No job.
He took a hit to the ribs, not without sinking his own fist in Brick’s stomach’s tender flesh.
No girlfriend.
He wasn’t an idiot, he knew money wouldn’t bring Iseul back. But the day he went to see her, when he needed to be reminded that Iseul was completely different from you, that he dealt with you to get back on his feet. To show Iseul he was coming back from whatever dark place he’d fallen and they could rebuild what was between them.
Hwiyoung never thought that it wouldn’t be Iseul who opened the apartment that they used to share, but an incredibly tall guy who stood there awkwardly as he looked at Hwiyoung in his work suit before Iseul came to the door and told Hwiyoung they couldn’t talk, not right then and apparently, not ever again.
Sweat dripped from his temple and covered the rest of his body by then. What did anything matter anymore? He slid away from the guy’s grip, turning around in the same fluid movement ready to meet him when he came back, his leg meeting Brick’s middle once again.
The crowd cheered for Hwiyoung again when he elbowed the guy in the back and booed when he got brought to the ground again as Brick hugged his legs, and he kicked and kicked, finally making contact with his knee onto this night’s enemy’s nose with a gruesome crack.
“You’re done!” The poor excuse of a referee this place had helped Brick up, blood, snot and tears already staining the rest of his face and down his bare chest.
Hwiyoung spat again, cracking his neck once he was back on his feet. His left eye was already swelling and he was sure the thing running down his temple wasn’t just sweat. But he’d won, he could afford a new week on Chani’s couch.
“I need my money,” he said, throwing his shirt on.
The guy, still attending to Brick’s broken nose, threw him a bunch of bills tied together by a rubber band. “You should go missing again if you’re going to play like this,” he spat.
Hwiyoung snorted. He wasn’t even the dirtiest player in the ring. “Or he should learn not to celebrate beforehand,” and anyway, he’d brought Hwiyoung to the ground dirty. Not that there were many rules in this fighting ring anyway.
“Get out of here,” the referee growled. It wasn’t just Hwiyoung that made him furious, he had to pay all of those who’d bet on him too.
“Gladly.”
YOU RAN OUT of the house as soon as you saw the lights on Hwiyoung’s guest house on. Although you were curious about where the hell he’d been all evening after the argument with your father, what was driving you to meet him was paying off your debt. And letting him know your father was not going to fire him, you had talked him down a few hours before, when he finally decided to listen to reason.
“I am telling you, dad,” you said, arms crossed above your chest. “It was not his fault. I did not want a gun around children, and I stand by it. When I go back to the orphanage he will be unarmed again.”
“You could have been seriously hurt,” your father didn’t raise his voice the way he’d done with Hwiyoung. Instead, he sounded exhausted. “And he wouldn’t have been able to do anything in case whoever did that to your car…”
“Dad, you didn’t hire him just because he could fire a gun, did you?”
To be honest, you had absolutely no idea what Hwiyoung used to do before he took this job. However, you knew your dad had seen something in him and whatever qualifications he had to hire him to take care of you, his precious daughter.
“No but—”
“It would be unfair if you fired him, I’m just saying.”
“He cannot put you in danger again—”
“No one could have known what was going to happen, please dad. I believe I need him now, okay? I will stop complaining about having a bodyguard if Hwiyoung can keep his job.” you were surprised by your own words, but you felt guilty about getting him fired when a big part of the trouble had been caused by your coercing.
Plus, what if the next bodyguard your father got you hated you more than Hwiyoung? You couldn’t go through the whole issue again. You had reached a certain level of understanding with Hwiyoung, you would rather keep it that way.
“Fine. But this is the last time.” your father agreed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
✳︎ ✳︎ ✳︎
You knocked on Hwiyoung’s door twice. Tapping your door against the entryway as you heard shuffling inside.
“What?” Hwiyoung opened the door, clearly expecting someone else.
“What the hell happened to you?” you gasped, pushing the door open before he could shut it on your face.
“Are you here to tell me I’m fired?” Hwiyoung asked, his gaze following you as you made your way to the small bathroom. Probably checking he hadn’t left bloodstains that wouldn’t come off.
“Shut up,” you said, opening the bathroom cabinet. “Who did that to you?”
“Myself,” Hwiyoung held the door open, “You know, firing someone doesn’t usually take long. You can get started now.”
“You’re not fired,” you scoffed, grabbing bandages and antiseptic, both packaged unopened. “Yet.”
Hwiyoung tried to smile with irony, but winced. “You know, I was about to go to bed so it would be great if—”
“Sit down Hwiyoung,” you said, getting out of the bathroom. “You’re going to get an infection or something. Where the hell were you?”
“I can do this myself,” he said, still standing by the doorway. “I do not need you to play nurse.”
“Were you going to do it?” you raised an eyebrow at him, “You would have started by now.”
“I can do it now.”
“You know what? I’d like to play nurse and fire you at the same time. Humor me.” you pointed at the kitchen chairs and Hwiyoung finally shut the door. It was clear you weren’t leaving.
“Who taught you to fight?” you kicked his leg softly, standing between them as he spread on the chair reluctantly.
Hwiyoung snorted, regretting it immediately as you dabbed a cotton ball against the cut on his forehead. “Are you seeing me? What makes you think I can fight?”
Dropping the cotton ball, you grabbed his hand. There was dried blood on his knuckles, indication that he’d gotten at least a few punches in.
“Lucky strikes,” he muttered, in a slight mocking tone. “We all have them.”
“Oh, so we should tell the police you got assaulted then?”
Hwiyoung took his hand back, like you’d burnt him. “No.”
“I have a feeling the other guy ended up worse, didn’t he?” you pointed at the knee of his pants, where Brick’s blood had dried up. “So you know how to fight.”
Hwiyoung rolled his eyes. “And?”
“And you’re going to teach me,” you moved on to clean the trail of blood from the corner of his mouth to his jaw.
This time, Hwiyoung laughed audibly, grabbing his ribs when pain shot through them.
“I’m not joking,” you poked his swollen cheekbone and he winced. “After today it’s clear I’m in danger. You’re keeping your job and this proves even more useful,”
“Seriously?” he questioned, although he wasn’t sure if he meant that he was keeping his job or that you really wanted to learn how to throw punches.
“You cannot go back to wherever you did this,” you warned, shaking your head. “Do you understand?”
“What makes you think I’ll accept to stay?”
You had walked away, opening the small fridge to try and find something he could put on his closing eye. “Because you still need the money, don’t you?”
Hwiyoung bit his tongue as you returned with a frozen package of vegetables he’d never gotten around to cook.
“Yes or no, simple question,” you said like you’d done hours prior.
“Yes.”
“Then it’s settled. Put this on and tomorrow, when everyone notices you look like shit, say you broke up a bar fight.”
“Of course, boss,” the fact that you helped him didn’t mean he’d lose his sarcasm.
You looked at the mess around the kitchen and shook your head. He could at least clean up after you had patched him.
“And take a shower, you stink.” you conveyed, scowling.
Hwiyoung watched you leave, holding the vegetables against his face. He didn’t notice the money you left on the kitchen table until the next morning, inside a white envelope with his name on it in your handwriting.

you were eyeing chanhee up down, eyes a bit narrow as you tried to read him while he was peacefully eating his cereal.
he looked completely normal, like nothing’s bothering him and there’s nothing on his mind.
it made you think if you had became so bad at reading him or does he really have no thoughts behind those eyes.
it’s his birthday today, and you, the brilliant prankster that you are, decided to pretend like you forgot about it. but it’s been five hours since you woke up, and chanhee did not show any signs of disappointment or any emotions in general.
“hey babe” you called him, gaining his attention as he gazed at you. “do you know what day it is?”
he scrunched his nose, thinking about it. “oh it’s tuesday” he smiled victoriously, proud of himself that he remembered.
you sighed, resting your arms on the kitchen counter in front of him. now you definitely looked disappointed and it made him panick. did he forget your birthday? anniversary?
“chanhee, do you know what day of the month today is?”
he quickly glanced at his phone. “seventieth” chanhee answered and gulped right after, your gaze intimidating him to the point that he was barely holding in.
“baby” you started. “when is your birthday?”
“january seventi- oh” you could almost see the lightbulb that turned on above his head. glancing at his phone again, he nodded. “yep, okay. got it”

(Disclaimer: I kinda wrote mini scenarios for each of them b/c I love this concept so much ashfdgkkjs)
Youngbin
The two of you were pretty transparent with each other in the relationship so he knew you stanned many other groups besides his own. Nothing really bothered him, but that was until he joined Kingdom. While the two of you sat on your couch, cuddled against each other to rewatch the pilot episode, you kept commenting on Bang Chan’s performance and how he had such great leadership skills. Youngbin felt himself get jealous especially when the topic of leadership was brought up. He tried his best to conceal his expression so he raised his other hand that wasn’t wrapped around your waist to the side of his face. You noticed his behavior and immediately thought of a mischievous plan. After all, it wasn’t everyday that you saw your calm and composed boyfriend on the verge of breaking down from jealousy. You purposely escalated your fangirling on Bang Chan until Bin couldn’t contain his composure anymore and he unwinded his arm around your waist, got up, and stood in front of your view. You suppressed your laughter as you moved your head around in an attempt to watch the tv but he wasn’t impressed. His entire body moved along with wherever you moved and you ended up bursting out into giggles. You grabbed his waist to still him but he didn’t budge. “Kitten, I’m not going to stop until you praise me like you did with Bang Chan,” Youngbin said in a bitter tone. You stopped giggling and stood on the couch to match his height. Out of the blue, you showered his sour face with kisses and his expression immediately shifted into his signature eye smile. You pulled back and said sweetly, “How about I give you kisses instead?”
Inseong
Inseong just got back from his shooting for Kingdom and you welcomed him with your arms and wide opened for a hug. He always loved when you gave him a long, warm hug after a day of tiring work but today, he was a lot clingier than usual. He never pulled apart from the hug and walked forward, which caused you to topple over the soft couch. You giggled as he stuffed his face into the side of your neck and took a whiff of your scent. You wiggled around as he tickled you with his breath. In between your giggles you asked why he was being like a mopey puppy and he let out a long groan. He pulled apart and stared up into your eyes with his dopey ones and whined, “When we got ready to leave the shooting site for Kingdom, Chanwoo came up to me and told me how nice you were. How do you guys even know each other??” You chuckled at his pouty and jealous expression and placed your hand on top of his head. You played with his fluffy hair and told him in an amused tone, “Chani had his number and I love Chanwoo’s voice.” You saw Inseong pout again and you continued teasing him, “I couldn’t just give up on such a great opportunity. I am a dedicated ikonic.” The last sentence triggered him and he immediately hoisted his body up and peered down at you with jealousy, “I thought you love my voice.” You giggled and decided to stop teasing him before he exploded with even more jealousy and wrapped your arms around his neck. You pulled him down and connected your lips to his, “I love your voice the most.” He immediately replaced the pout on his lips with a wide smile.
Jaeyoon
You waited for Jaeyoon to finish taking a shower after he came back from his shoot for Kingdom so you sprawled yourself across your bed and decided to stream the youtube clips of previous Kingdom performances on your iPad. The thumbnail of The Boyz’s performance caught your eye and you clicked into the clip. You were so excited to see another version of The Stealer and also couldn’t wait to see your bias, Sangyeon, dancing to it. You were so absorbed into their beautiful choreo, you didn’t realize that Jaeyoon came out of the bathroom and was standing by the bed frame for a good ten minutes. He cleared his throat but you didn’t hear him through the loud audio. Jealously crept into his veins and he tried his best to cover it with sarcasm, “Should I dance to The Stealer so my baby will pay attention to me?” You finally heard him and chuckled at his behavior. You taunted him in response, “But it won’t be the same because you’re not Sangyeon.” Jaeyoon gasped, feigning hurt and took the device from your hands. He carelessly placed it on the bedside table before he flung himself onto the soft mattress. He hovered over you and said with amusement, “Well then I guess I have to show you why Jaeyoon is even better.”
Dawon
Dawon stared at you for the longest time in disbelief and chuckled out of nervousness as you sat beside him on the couch of his company’s dance studio. You made dramatic fangirl comments at Ateez’s Kingdom performance especially when Seonghwa appeared on the screen. You punched Dawon’s arm and told him to watch with you, excessively showering Seonghwa with praises. You weren’t oblivious to your boyfriend’s jealousy but you loved it whenever the opportunity came up. He has a tendency of sarcastically laughing with a hint of shy nervousness when he gets jealous and that was exactly how he was acting at the moment. Originally, you only wanted to see Ateez’s performance because you were a big fan of them and because you were waiting for Dawon to finish practicing. But when he came down and sat beside you, you unintentionally praised Seonghwa’s beauty on stage which sparked Dawon’s jealously and you couldn’t help but to continuously tease him and rile him up. As a result, you amped up your inner fangirl until Dawon couldn’t handle it anymore. “Okay that’s it,” He chuckled bitterly and grabbed your phone. You turned to him and he stared into your eyes with a pout and large puppy eyes. “Focus on me baby.” You swallowed down a laughter and extended your arm out for the phone and wailed, “But my Seonghwa!” At this rate, Dawon knew you were messing with him so he grabbed your arms and placed it around his neck before he proceeded to lift you up off the couch and onto him. He sat back down on the couch and had you on top of his laps. Quickly and cunningly, he shoved your phone underneath his butt and sarcastically remarked with amusement, “Come get your phone if you want to see your Seonghwa that badly.”
Rowoon
Rowoon had just come back from his shooting for Kingdom and you followed him around the house like a lost puppy. “Did you see Younghoon? Did you get to talk to him? How was it seeing him perform live??” You fired questions at him like an automatic rifle, clearly showing your enthusiasm as a Deobi, especially a Younghoon stan. Rowoon knew you really liked The Boyz and he was usually fine with your enthusiastic support for the group. He would even join you and fanboy himself when you watch their stages on Youtube. But Rowoon was exhausted after the shooting and was anticipating to have his s/o welcome him home with some love, something he missed so much after being apart from you for drama and Kingdom shootings. Instead, you were asking him about another man and that immediately sparked his jealousy. At first, he just let you ramble on as he took off his shoes and went to the bathroom to freshen up. He loves you and he usually will never pick a fight or act petty no matter how jealous he was. You knew that. You also knew that he was jealous the moment you opened your mouth. At first, you only wanted to get some intel from your boyfriend who had seen one of your biases in person but after seeing the jealousy that flashed in his eyes, you made it your mission to make Rowoon crack for once. You were enjoying yourself so much that you continued talking about Younghoon even as he was in the shower. You leaned against the marble sink and tried saying random nonsense to rile him up but he only chuckled at your fangirl behavior and continued to shower. Suddenly, a mischievous thought crossed your mind and you waited until Rowoon turned off the shower faucet and stepped out to initiate the plan. You feigned a curious, innocent stare at him and placed your hand beneath your chin as if you were deeply contemplating. “Babe, I’m curious about something...” He absentmindedly replied as he plugged in the hair dryer to the wall outlet, “Oh yeah? What is it?” You smirked and eyed him up and down, “Do you think Younghoon is as tall and built as you?” Rowoon froze midway through drying his hair. He turned towards you and turned the device off with a jealous look on his face, one that you have never seen before. You bit down on your lips to hold back a laughter. Gotcha. Before he could muster up a response you continued, “What about his laugh? Does he laugh like you do?” You stared at your boyfriend innocently and his face was flushed red with jealousy. He placed the hair dryer aside and suddenly hoisted you up on top of his broad shoulders, “Definitely not.” He said firmly and then chuckled before softly throwing you onto the cloud-like mattress. His face hovered closely above yours, “He will never be able to easily carry you like I just did nor could he ever make you smile the way I do.” You burst out into giggles as he proceeded to tickle you until you shower him with compliments the way you did with Younghoon.
Zuho
Zuho casually talked to you about his experience in Kingdom as he drove through the dimly lit streets. The two of you decided to go for a quick date late at night, mostly to avoid getting caught by the media, and he was beyond excited to tell you about meeting his seniors. You listened intently and responded with excitement as well since the both of you were huge fans of Btob. Zuho stopped talking once the car had arrived to the isolated park. The two of you laid on top of the car’s hood and gazed at the stars in the night sky and continued the conversation. Somewhere in the middle of your chat, you turned to him and pouted. You told him you wish you were there as well because you wanted to see and hear Minhyuk live. You emphasized with a big pout on your lips, “I want to see Minhyuk rap with his husky voice but also hear him sing with his honey smooth vocals.” Zuho froze for a second, your words not fully processing through his mind. He turned towards you and mumbled with slight jealousy, “I didn’t know you like Minhyuk that much.” He chuckled in disbelief and questioned you, “Husky voice? Honey smooth vocals?” He then became really flustered, caught by surprise at you fangirling more than usual. He kept blinking in disbelief, unable to accept the fact that you liked Minhyuk so much. You found amusement in his cute behavior and teased him even more. You placed your hands by your heart and said dramatically, “I could die happily once I hear Minhyuk live.” Zuho started to get really flustered, cheeks red with jealousy. You chuckled at your adorable boyfriend and squished his cheeks, “I’m messing with you babe! I’m a diehard Melody but my boyfriend is always the #1 person I’d die for.” You gave him a ridiculously sweet look and he caved in. He pulled you on top of him for a hug before the both of you accidentally slid off the side of the hood and onto the ground, with Zuho underneath you as a cushion. He grunted at the impact as you giggled uncontrollably.
Taeyang
When you were mindlessly humming to No Air in the kitchen after watching The Boyz’s latest Kingdom performance, Taeyang’s ears perked up and jealousy immediately ignited in his body. Yes, he gets jealous that easily. You would usually tell him how you enjoy watching The Boyz perform because it’s so satisfying and he would agree because it’s true. But you would also start to notice his pettiness everytime you mention them. He’d nod at your comments and agree but in a way that seems almost sarcastic. “Yeah they are great dancers,” he’d tell you. But then he’d look up at you and say, almost for confirmation, “But I’m a great dancer too.” You’d chuckled to yourself and agree or else you know he’ll be sulking for the rest of the day. But this time, you wanted to see how Taeyang gets when he’s really jealous. At first, No Air really was stuck on your head so you were humming to it. However, something mischievous struck you as you were making chocolate covered strawberries in the kitchen. You wanted to see how far you could take the joke so you purposely pressed his buttons. From the moment he heard you humming, he immediately dashed by your side and wrapped his arms around you as you boiled the chocolate. He laid his head on your shoulder and tried his best to subtly ask you, “Were you watching The Boyz’s performance again?” You replied with a yes and emphasized, “Juyeon is such a great dancer and his expressions are so intriguing,” and that’s when Taeyang lost it. He clung onto you as you were trying to cool down the chocolate and even while you were moving to grab the strawberries from the fridge, he’d stick to you like glue and kept asking you why you like Juyeon so much. “Babyyy,” he whined, “Did you forget about me??” He kept kissing your cheeks with his arms wrapped around you as you struggled to wash the strawberries. At the end, you gave up and twisted around to face him. His arms never let go of your waist as he continued saying jealous nonsense. You took your hand and squished his cheeks, “You are the best, most handsome and talented dancer, artist, and boyfriend okay?” He smirked, satisfied, and you giggled at his ridiculous face squished between your hand. He was just about to open his mouth to spew more nonsense and you shoved a strawberry in his mouth, “okay now shush babe. I love you but I want to eat my chocolate covered strawberries, preferably with the chocolate, so stop clinging onto me.”
Hwiyoung
Hwiyoung’s a fun-loving boyfriend and he wouldn’t just randomly get jealous even if you were meeting up with an ex. He respects your boundaries and trusts your decisions. You love him for that but it also wanted made you curious as to how your boyfriend would react when jealous. SO you decided to surprise him after his Kingdom shoot and went to pick him up with their manager. You hid in the van and surprised the boys when they came toward the vehicle. The eight boys already knew your devious plan and paid no mind to you acting unusually dramatic as you kept asking him if he talked to Hyunjin during the shoot and if you could meet him as well. He looked at you weirdly with a bit of skepticism, “You weren’t that interested in meeting him when I was on Idol Radio with him..why are you so eager now?” You flinched at his retaliation and quickly hopped into the van. You heard Rowoon and Juho snickered in the back and you glared at them for the mockery. As the engine started and the vehicle started down the road back to the dorms, you initiated your second attempt to get under your boyfriend’s skin. You pulled out your phone and watched the Stray Kids’s introduction stage on youtube without earphones. Subtly, you turned to Hwiyoung and asked with the most innocent and adoring eyes, “Babe I didn’t know Hyunjin looked so great with long hair.” At that comment, Hwiyoung’s expression slightly shifted. Almost immediately he responded with a more serious tone, “Even better than I did?” You held back your laughter and felt success creeping up. In the back of the van, you saw Rowoon and Zuho giving you a slightly surprised expression. You winked at them and got excited as your boyfriend gradually became jealous. When you all got back to the dorm, Hwi stuck to your side. You tried so hard not to laugh as he kept asking you with slight skepticism in his tone, “When did you like Hyunjin so much?” “Should I grow out my long hair again?” He acted like a kid got abandoned by his mother and needed to grab your attention. To your surprise, he acted in such a different way than you would’ve thought. But you found it so adorable so you teased him even more by turning the tv on to watch a Hyunjin fancam. Hwi caught you by surprise again as he plopped down on the couch beside you and wiggled adorably to get your attention. You raised the remote to your lips and masked your giggles, keeping note to tease him more often.
Chani
Another one that doesn’t get jealous often. Or ever actually. That’s just not the way he shows affection. But that was until things got a little too personal. Beside the sepgu boys, Chani has never really seen you interact with any of his other friends so he never understood actual jealousy. However, after the one time Chanwoo called Chani to thank him for his advice on Kingdom, he started to notice how much you liked Chanwoo and Ikon. Because of your boyfriend’s appearance on Kingdom, you started to take an interest on Ikon and became a fan of their music. It was true that you liked Chanwoo’s voice but it was never really to the extent of fangirling over him. That thought never crossed your mind until Chani kept asking you how much you liked Ikon, or most importantly, Chanwoo. From his point of view, he’d always notice how your face brightens while watching Ikon performances on the tv. He’d stare at you with a hesitant smile and when you asked him what he was staring at you for, he’d simply reply with a shrug, “You always seem so happy to see Chanwoo’s part in the song.” At first, you hadn’t put much thought into his comment until he continuously brought it up every time an Ikon music video appeared on tv. And so one day, you decided to tease him and hopefully see your boyfriend become an adorable, jealous mess. The two of you were browsing through Netflix shows in your bedroom since it was his free day. You had the remote as you struggled to find something remotely interesting to watch. The two of you slept until late afternoon, yet Chani was still as drowsy as before. You chuckled to yourself as he laid comfortably on your shoulder. Suddenly, he shifted on the bed and got up to go to the bathroom. You found this to be the perfect chance to rile him up so you quickly exited the Netflix page and went to youtube to watch a Chanwoo fancam. Chani came back and slightly flinched in surprise at the tv screen. Your eyes were glued to the tv screen and you ignored him as he crawled back onto the bed and asked, “I thought we were watching a show?” You smiled to yourself and told him you felt like watching Chanwoo dance instead. You were mentally preparing yourself to see Chani act adorably jealous but he took you by surprise and grabbed the remote from you. He turned the tv off and stared at you with dark lust in his eyes. You fell back against the headboard as he hovered over you. He whispered in a deep voice with apparent annoyance and jealousy in his tone, “Chanwoo this. Chanwoo that. It seems like you forgotten who your boyfriend is.” You chuckled nervously and told him you were just joking, but it was too late. Chani pulled the covers over the both of you and lets just say...you eventually got off bed to have your first meal of the day in the late evening.

Desc.: You have been dating your boyfriend Juho for a while now. However, because you don’t have any prior dating experience, you’re feeling unsure about a lot of things - one of those is your first kiss.
You’re walking with your head slightly tilted down, eyes focused on the pavement in front of your feet as you take one step after the other. Your fingers are snaked around his, and you feel the warmth of his palm against yours. You’re on a shopping date in town, meaning today should be a happy day, but you can't help but feel the pressure looming over you and tugging at your shoulders. Juho raises your hand in his to point towards an accessory shop across the street. You know he can sense your discomfort, and that he’s probably attentively looking for things to cheer you up with, and though you’re thankful, you also feel a little sorry about the situation.
“That looks like they might have stuff you like!” he remarks calmly, while leaning his head a bit closer to yours. To a bystander it might look like he’s trying to make sure you can hear him over the noise of the people around you, but with the way he’s giving your hand a gentle squeeze along with his words, you have a hunch he just wants you to know that he’s there for you.
You let him pull you along with him to the crosswalk, and after crossing the street you stroll a few meters back to reach the shop he pointed at.
“Want to go in?” he asks, watching you closely as you start to observe the displays of the shop, searching for things that tickle your urge to spend some money. You nod eventually, and he opens the door for you, letting you enter the shop comfortably. You’re naturally drawn to some simple bracelets, each in a different color and with a small pearl or other kind of ornament attached to the string. Juho’s expression shifts from surprise to understanding, and he smiles when he stands next to you, letting his eyes scan the shelf you’re looking at.
“You like simple things like these, don’t you?” he comments and you merely nod. In your mind you have already picked out your favourites, and are now trying to choose which one to get for yourself. Coincidentally, or maybe because he can read your interested gaze, he reaches out for one of those. “We can get one each,” he suggests. “Like couple bracelets.”
“But are you okay with that?” you ask, and you lure a short laugh out of him.
“Why wouldn’t I be? We’re a couple after all.”
“Yes…” The bracelets had distracted you for a while, but now the pressure on your shoulders becomes noticeable again. Juho too seems to feel it, so he shoots you an encouraging smile.
“So, do you like them? Or do you want to think about it again?” he asks, diverting your attention back to the bracelets. You give them another look, and suddenly it seems like they’re just perfect - maybe it’s because your boyfriend ended up choosing them for you. Either way, you nod.
“No, I like them.” You extend your hand to take one of them from him, but he doesn’t let you.
“I’m paying,” he simply states, getting ready to walk you to the register.
“Are you sure…?” you ask, and he nods.
“Of course,” he adds, putting sincerity behind his words.
The reason why you’re so uptight today is because of your last date - or more precisely, what happened at the end of it. Now, this is your first real relationship, so you’re nervous about a lot of things, even though you constantly try to tell yourself not to overthink. Juho knows about this, and even if you hadn’t told him it wouldn’t be hard to sense how worried you sometimes get. So, he always tries to make things as easy for you as possible, being thoughtful and making you feel comfortable in any way he can think of. It was probably you really feeling like you can relax in his presence that led to him leaning in for a goodbye kiss, but the regretful look on his face after you avoided his touch still makes you feel all kinds of bad. You know you shouldn’t let this affect you so much, you were simply startled, and probably not ready for it, and that’s okay. But still, the circling doubts in your head wouldn’t stop ever since that day.
“Do you want to put it on right away?” Juho’s question tears you out of your head for a while. You’re in the process of walking out of the shop and he’s holding up the cutely decorated paper bag you got from the shop to store your purchase in.
“Sure.” You answer and the two of you come to a halt on the side of the street. He takes one of the bracelets out of its packaging and holds it out to you, to which you raise your arm. You let him carefully put it around your wrist and adjust the length for you, making sure it fits just right so you won’t lose it, but that it also doesn’t cut into your skin. You enjoy the way he focuses on you like this for a while, and the way his knuckles accidentally - or maybe not as accidentally as he makes you think - brush against the skin on your hand wakes up the butterflies in your stomach. When he unwraps the second bracelet, you take it away from him before he can simply slip his own hand through it.
“I’ll do it for you,” you mumble, and with a thankful expression on his face he lets you put it on for him.
Your shopping date eventually comes to an end when the both of you are starting to feel hungry and he offers to cook the two of you a quick meal at his place. You remember the first time you two went to a restaurant together and somehow the food ended up being anything but good, so you eventually left still hungry and he made you some ramen at his place. Even though it was such a simple dish, it seemed like the most delicious meal you’ve ever had, so from then on you preferred having his food over eating out or ordering something when the two of you are together.
You’re sitting on the couch in his flat, occupying yourself with entertaining his cats while waiting for him to finish cooking. You offered to help him out, but he insisted on letting him do the work, as there wasn’t much to do anyway according to him, so you ended up playing with the felines instead. After a simple but tasty dinner, some fried rice with a “special seasoning” that he refuses to tell you the recipe to, you feel full and content.
“Thanks for the food anyway,” you say. “But one day you really have to teach me how to make this!”
“I will, I will,” he assures. When he reaches out for your hand, possibly to put some emphasis on his promise, he suddenly gasps. As he wraps his fingers around your arm to lift it up, you see what made him so shocked. When you were playing with the cats earlier, one of them must’ve gotten their paw caught on your bracelet, as it’s about to fall off. Juho quickly fixes it for you, seeming more relieved than you are about it not being torn, and then he shoots his cats a glare across the room.
“It was one of you, wasn’t it?” he interrogates them, as if they would give him an answer. He lets out an exasperated sigh. “No… this isn’t right. You shouldn’t treat a guest like this!” Your boyfriend is about to get up from his spot on the sofa, when you stop him, an amused smile on your face.
“They’re not gonna listen to you anyway, Juho,” you tell him. From the way he only lets the tension in his body go after several seconds of reconsidering you can tell that it’s hard for him to accept the harsh truth. You put your hand on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him, and a moment later he reaches out for it again to check the bracelet thoroughly one more time. You lean in as well, so you can have a good look too, and after confirming that it still looks just like when you bought it a few hours ago, you lift your head, planning to appease him. However, your words just won’t come out when you realize how close your faces are to each other now. And he too seems to be aware of it, as his facial expression softens once he makes eye contact with you. You quickly but slightly turn your head the other way when you notice his gaze dropping further down to your lips.
“Sorry…” he immediately mutters, but you shake your head in response.
“No, I’m sorry… I shouldn’t be like this,” you answer. You can feel him reaching out for both your hands now, placing them in between the two of you and covering them with his huge palms.
“Don’t say that. You know, if you’re not ready-”
“Let’s just-... let’s just practice,” you eventually suggest, shooting him a regretful look.
“Don’t force yourself, Y/N,” he says, picking up one of his hands to brush a stray strand of hair behind your ear.
“I… I guess I’m just scared because I’ve never… kissed anyone and… I don’t know how to go about things…” you stammer, and your voice fails you when you feel him tracing your jawline with his fingertip, until your chin is placed lightly between his thumb and index finger.
“Are you sure?” Juho asks one more time, and you force yourself to nod, despite the way you’re getting nervous to the point you feel like your chest is about to burst. You shut your eyes tightly, but when you feel his lips merely brushing against yours for no longer than a second, you suddenly feel the tension leaving your body. Your clenched up facial expression relaxes, and so do your shoulders, your fists, and your heels that you had unconsciously lifted up off the floor of his living room. You feel him kiss you again once he’s sure you’re feeling alright with what he’s doing, and somehow it’s surprisingly easy for you to fall into his slow but careful rhythm. The warm feeling that comes up so often when you’re with him arises in your chest again. You feel taken care of, and you let yourself fall into his touch, trusting his lead and the way he holds you after pulling you closer. Your lips part eventually, and you open your eyes a little delayed, only to find your boyfriend already smiling fondly at you.
“Was that alright?” he asks. You can’t form words quickly enough to answer, so you just nod and throw your arms around his broad shoulders, burying your face in his neck. You can feel him exhale warm air on your skin when he lets out a short laugh. “I’m glad,” he says.
“I’m sorry this took so lo-” you attempt to apologize, but he simply shushes you, cutting you off. He puts his hands onto your shoulders to bring some distance between the two of you, so he can look at your face properly.
“Don’t be,” he whispers. “It was perfect the way it was to me.” Your words reassure him, and you give him a smile, before he pulls you close so you can rest your head on his chest.
“For me too,” you state. “It was perfect for me too.”
