TW: mentions of body dysphoria but nothing too in detail, non-sexual mentions of top and bottom surgery, spoilers for DAWTDE and SFATDE.

Not all of these are about reader being a trans man, it’s like a mix of that, general headcanons, and romantic headcanons.

- Avery is COLD, he’s made of slime and his body doesn’t really retain any heat.

- Derek is the opposite, insanely warm on normal days and scorching on occasion.

- You lay in between these two and you’re rolling around like a rotisserie chicken. It’s nice to cuddle with Avery on the couch on hot summer days and with Derek in the dead of winter.

- Avery hibernates! Well- to a degree. When winter hits, he becomes moooore..solid? His slime starts to harden, he becomes sluggish, and it gets increasingly difficult for him to do anything but sleep. You and Derek make sure to make him the comfiest bed nest you can and let him sleep away the winter.

- You don’t get periods often, but when you do? Derek is more than willing to cup your lower stomach with his insanely warm hands, like your own personal heating pad.

- Avery will press his hands to the back of your neck/forehead to cool you down, soothing period induced hot flashes and headaches.

- Avery and Derek bought you your first binder! A strong and flexible piece of clothing that you cried about receiving.

- Avery is agender genetically, slimes don’t have anything that indicates what gender they are like most people/creatures do. He’s a slime who identifies as a man, but that’s just personal preference.

- Derek is also a trans man and has had bottom surgery but not top surgery, he just prefers it that way.

- basically what I’m getting at is you’re all trans.

- Avery is a skywars champion and he’s incredibly proud of that, but he hates all the interviews and meetings, why can’t he just go fight people??

- The thing he dislikes most about his status is how it keeps him from you and Derek back on the server you all live in. He just wants to see his boyfriends dammit!!

- Derek is a knight that has been assigned to your village to keep it safe, so he does patrols every day and helps around where he can.

- You’re the farmer! You live just outside of town, a little bit into the woods.

- Avery and Derek are actually married, you’re not married to them, but they’re just as dedicated to you as they are each other. You are not just an addition but more like a piece that was missing.

- Derek helps you take your t-shots. He does his own and has no trouble helping with your’s. If you don’t use injection, he’ll help you with gel or will remind you to take your pills.

- Avery and you are night owls, Derek goes to bed at 10 on the dot.

- Avery can’t touch water for elongated amounts of time, he’ll get incredibly gooey and melty, but for short amounts is fine.

- Avery can mold his slime to look like hair, usually keeping it in thick locks he ties back.

- Avery is obsessed with carrying you and Derek around, he loves feeling strong and capable.

- Derek is 6’1, Avery is 5’11.

- Derek has infinite knowledge, having seen the king in yellow like he does in the series. Since this au is based in Minecraft, Derek isn’t at risk of death because of it. Instead, he gets chronic migraines, can unintentionally read minds, knows every language, his eyes turned yellow, and the roots of his hair are turning white.

- Derek unfortunately still sucks at PVP, but he’s gotten better.

- You and him spar often. You stopped sparring with Avery because he’s always a cocky lil shit about winning.

- You still love him though.

- Avery kisses like it’s the end of the world, Derek kisses like he has all the time in the world.

- You and Derek go to all of Avery’s tournaments (when you two aren’t slammed with work) and always try to get a group picture at the end.

- Avery is obsessed with your legs, not in a sexual way, but in just a “oh man humans are very nice feeling” kind of way. He likes to lay his head in your lap, put his legs on your’s, sit between them on the floor if you’re on the couch, and loves running his hands down your calves if you sit on his shoulders.

- Derek loves nothing more than cupping your face and eye contact. His eyes are a sharp yellow color now, glowing in the darkness of his helmet. He’ll have a hard day out in town and immediately beelines for you to hold your face and stare into your eyes. It reminds him that he’s human, that you’re alive, and that he’ll always come home to you and Avery.

- Derek and Avery both experience PTSD related nightmares from the king in yellow incident. They both have to convince themselves that you and the other are alive and well.

- Avery will wrap his arms around you from behind and bury his face into your back, feeling you shift in his grip, grounding his thoughts. With Derek, he’ll grab Derek’s hand and interlace their fingers, pressing his slime against Derek’s pulse on his wrist.

- Derek will press his face to your chest, listening to your heart thrum and feeling it rise and fall. With Avery, he’ll stare, confirming in his all-knowing mind that Avery is there because he can see him.

- Derek can’t get sick anymore and Avery doesn’t technically have an immune system.

- You though? You get sick and all hell is bound to break loose. All farm work is taken care of by your boyfriends, you only leave the bed to use the bathroom, shower, or eat. Medicine is given to you like clockwork. You will get better whether you like it or not.

- Avery and Derek go feral when you wear their clothes, it most certainly is in their top ten things they’d love to see. They especially love it when you do it to fight any dysphoria you’re experiencing, appreciating how their clothes could make you feel better.

- Derek lends you his hoodies and cloaks. They smell like metal shiner and like rain about to come.

- Avery lends his big t-shirts and basketball shorts. They smell like TNT soot and fresh wood chips.

- Avery hates your llamas. They only listen to Derek. They don’t listen to you.

- Avery is a cheesy dude, likes doing the “arm above you on the wall” lean in and going “hey handsome.” You know he’s trying to be suave, but it always makes you chuckle instead. He’ll even add in the wink, which makes you cackle.

- You wouldn’t be able to guess by how stoic Derek acts, but he is a chronic tickler. He likes seeing you squirm and laugh, and he’s strong enough to keep at it for a bit, you and him wrestling on the ground.

- Bro also pokes you in the side/ribs whenever he can and you can’t even do it back most of the time because he wears armor!! The cheat!

- Avery can’t be tickled, he doesn’t really have the nervous system for it.

- Derek has little wings poking out of the sides of his head that he has to keep groomed.

- You’ll sit facing him in his lap and help pluck out any loose or damaged feathers and he’ll contently wrap his arms around your waist and let his eyes close.

- Avery loves forehead kisses, receiving or giving. He thinks that shit is so romantic.

- Avery’s ideas for dates usually consist of game nights, building pillow forts, long walks in the forest, swimming in lakes/ocean, exploring new places, going to different servers to watch different games and tournaments go on, and picnics.

- Derek’s ideas for dates usually consist of window shopping, walks through the village, cozy nights in; all cuddled in bed and talking, working together on individual projects (so like you all sit at the same table but all doing different things and enjoying each other’s company), dancing to discs on the jukebox, and visiting the librarian to buy some new books to read later.

- You and Avery like to doodle on Derek’s arms, he’s covered in them sometimes.

- Avery likes to read to you guys, does the voices and everything.

- Derek can do hair fairly well and will do your’s if you ask. (This includes any hair types. He can do braids, ponytails, buns, styling, etc. He has a ton of hair and had to learn how to do it himself).

- Avery and Derek got you two rings and asked you to marry them after about two years of dating.

- The wedding was held on the farm and was very small, but it was beautiful. You all wear two rings now.

- The ring representing Avery is black as the band and is engraved with green swirls, a small emerald embedded into it.

- The ring representing Derek is gold as the band and has a red stripe engraved into it, with solidified redstone as the “gem”.

- Your ring is silver as the band with white stars engraved into it, a tiny diamond as your gem.

- Avery takes them off when he competes in tournaments, you take them off when you farm, Derek never takes them off. You and Avery are very nervous about losing them, but Derek wears them under his gauntlets.

- Avery and Derek built extensions onto your farmhouse and you all moved in together. Their house was getting too small. (That’s what Avery said anyways)

- Avery wears basket ball shorts to bed.

- Derek wears sweatpants and a t-shirt (or his hoodie if it’s cold)

- You wear their clothes.

- Avery can get bigger/taller if he adds more slime to himself, but the more slime he adds, the more animalistic he becomes. He isn’t violent or insane, but more overprotective and unwilling to let you or Derek leave the property or do anything too strenuous.

- Derek nests like a bird sometimes, making a thick circle of blankets in the bed and dragging you and Avery into it to nap.

- Sometimes you see Avery’s eyes flash yellow in certain lighting or when he’s spacing out.

- Derek’s tears and blood are colored yellow.

- Derek sometimes slips into speaking other languages without realizing, only noticing when you and Avery look at him absolutely bewildered because he started speaking Mandarin out of nowhere.

- Avery and Derek don’t ever let you go mining alone and make sure you always stick to premade strip mines.

- Avery has a pet slime named Mimi, she likes to hang out with the sheep.

- Derek has a large scar on the side of his face that stretches out like an angry star, carving across some parts of his mouth and almost hitting his eye.

- You have some tiny scars here and there from farm work.

- Avery can’t scar.

- Avery once took you and Derek to a different server to see one of his tournaments and one of his opponents flirted with you for a solid five minutes.

- Avery took him out first, which shocked viewers because the guy was on the other side of the map. Avery looked like he was hunting the guy down. (He was)

- Derek does all the red stone in the house, he’s insanely good at it.

- Avery can cook like no tomorrow.

- You three are deeply, deeply in love with one another. Avery and Derek love you to death. You’re their strong, handsome, farmer man.
