Dial the Gate posted an interview on Friday in which Flanigan said Martin Gero invited him to visit the new SG writers' room this Wednesday. There are NDAs involved, but he made it pretty clear that he'd make himself available to play Sheppard again. Even as a regular, though I seriously doubt that's what Gero has in mind.
Exciting stuff for SGA fans, but probably nothing terribly surprising for most.
More importantly, Joe was asked if he hopes "General Sheppard" will make a cameo in the new series, and I love that he too finds the idea of Sheppard making General one day laughable. If we do see more of him, he better be every bit the contrarian he was in SGA.

another victim of going to the box for being too pretty. :(
Michael Shanks going ham on Amazon while the writers and showrunner remain relatively quiet (for legal reasons, I’m sure) just feels a lot like:
Shanks is gettin’ spicy. Guessing he was set to make some appearances.
