The worst possible scenario for this was, at most, a trip to the emergency room. But it wasn’t the first time he handled one of these sparklers, and it certainly wasn’t going to be his last. The exuding heat was disappointing, however, in single digit degree winter weather. A single sparkler was lit as a trial that quickly left burn stings on his left hand, causing him to drop it prematurely. The fault was entirely his own to simply never learn his lesson and bring gloves along.
It didn’t take much longer for him to throw caution to the win and prepared roughly half a dozen in his right hand and a lighter in his other. He looked into the dark abyss for any signs of life, wondering if they were accidentally sending out distress signals to unassuming persons. “Joon! What the hell are you doing? I’m gonna break your camera if I freeze out here!” The experimental machine fan was sitting stoic to his far right and, if he were honest, he was afraid to use it. Strength to pick it up aside, these sparklers could potentially spin out of control and land in his eye. There was at least a semblance of control with the thin pieces in his grip.
