The most illogical part of this show is that Alec and Magnus literally never use pet names with each other. Like whatever convoluted magical nonsense you want to spew I'm on board but trying to tell me Alec doesn't say 'hey babe' when he comes home? Not a single 'good morning sweetheart' from Magnus? Come one, come all to the Malec Server's Year-Long Rewatch Event: 5 Years of Shadowhunters 🎉

To celebrate the fact Shadowhunters has been in our lives for 5 years, we will be hosting a rewatch event on this server every week until the end of 2021 starting this Friday, January 1st at 10am EST and 5pm EST! During each rewatch (whether you join the server event or watch on your own each week), we invite everyone to live blog/tweet/what-have-you using the hashtags #mdsrewatch and/or #5yearsofshadowhunters.

The goal is for those who have not seen the show to finally get to experience it all and for those who have to relive the moments that made us laugh, made us cry, and had us on the edge of our seats. And *everyone* is able to participate in this event. Have friends on social media that don't want/have discord? Let them know about the rewatch and have them watch along with us during 2021.

To make things interesting, we want to challenge those watching to create for each episode. We encourage all authors to write coda fics and fix its, artists to create fanart, and creators to bless our twitter timelines and tumblr dashboards (and any other platform) with gifsets, moodboards, and any other media you can think to create. Anything you decide to create can be posted in #event-of-the-century!
