oh noo! rq spin off with the cousin trio cori, shade and clara in a war against iris! i’m so scared!

That's the thing. I know Mare and Cal cared about Maven and loved him. I know they miss him in their own way. They had to mourn his death.

So one thing I would have liked at the end is that they name one of their children Maven, in Cal's homage to his brother, and Mare for the ghost of that boy she once loved.

A way to compensate in a way.

That they would have created a new Maven who this time could have been surrounded by the love he was cruelly deprived of. Because, even though Maven did bad things and hurt Mare and Cal, it wasn't completely his fault.

Brain screwed up from childhood by his mother's powers I recall...

Maven was not a stable individual, fully in control of himself. He was mentally very very ill.

And Mare and Cal know it very well !

So why didn't the author make this kind of tribute ? It would have been so beautiful and satisfying.

This is definitely my biggest regret.

Cal Sharing his Wisdom

I can’t stop imagining cal and mare bringing their children to work with them for a day and then were called to some important meeting and now new recruits have to look after them and they (the new soldiers) were absolutely terrified cause god forbid they get a SINGLE scratch on them bc cal would definitely fry them from where they stand and mare would have their heads. Hahahah i just find this so funny

for sure. A scenario similar to that Pixar short where Jack Jack is with his nanny. when Mare and Cal return they are like how are our babies???? 🥰🤗🤩 and the recruits return the pair of healthy, cheerful angels, while they are burned, dirty, their uniforms in tatters, the building behind them falling apart, their eyes twitching and on the verge of their 4th nervous breakdown of the day. After that, they collect signatures to discontinue the "bring your child to work" day

But imagine..

Cal finding out that Mare is pregnant...

Not with 1, but 2 children (to me Cori and Shade are twins)

The person who lost most of his family...

and loves children...

Finding out that the woman he loves is pregnant with 2 beautiful babies...HIS babies.

When she tells him he got all like "I'M GONNA BE A DAD!!!!" And cries like hell, laughing and hugging her.

Is there anything you can tell us about Mare and Cal's kids, Shade and Coriane? Like who/what they look like, their powers, the color of their blood, their personality (who they act more like), their relationship with their parents, etc....

Any info would be appreciated
