Like angels, they know the future and have wings, but like humans they eat, drink, procreate and die. They can also cause sickness and misfortune. The shedim are supposed to follow the dead or fly around graves.

Continuation of the last drabble I did this time it’s cuter and less sad yay!

The semester had ended and Jin was finally able to go home. Nori had Shadim come along for both moral support and because he has a car. Nori clung to her older brother and hefted him up when they met him at the clinic. Shadim couldn't help but laugh. It was always amusing when he remembered the short stack was the older sibling. Jin only had one bag which he tossed into the back of the car before climbing in himself. Nori and Shadim took front of course. And then came the awkward silence.

“...Soooo...what was the nuthouse like?”

“Shadim!”

“It was really quiet and it was the fist thing I could think of!” In the back seat Jin was chuckling.

“it was....nice.” Then the silence came again. Nori turned the radio on and they let the music fill the void best it could until they got to Nori and Jin's place. There was a loud meowing behind the door and Jin crouched down to prepare for the impending comet of fluff to zip out the door.

The moment Nori opened the door Jin's cat launched out of the apartment and attached to Jin's face. It purred and meowed and refused to let go. Nori helped Jin inside and onto the couch. “So, who wants to watch a movie?” she asked.

“I am blinded by cat.” Jin replied with a slightly muffled tone. Nori and Shadim laughed. Eventually Zetsubo moved to Jin's lap and happily purred away as he pet her. Shadim had sat down on the other end of the couch as Nori got the DVD player set up.

“So why a cat?”

“Found her. She followed me home. I decided to keep her.” Jin shrugged.

“Jin loves animals. He used to be able to get birds to land on him as a kid.”

“Noriiii!” Again there was laughter. Shadim was glad Nori was laughing again. He could tell Jin being in the clinic was hard on her. She pressed play on the player and flopped between the other tieflings. She gave Shadim a peck on the cheek and ruffled Zetsubo's fur causing her to bat at Nori's hand. She laughed again.

Shadim smiled and came to a bit of a realization. This was the first time he was hanging out with both of them. It felt...nice. He held Nori a bit closer, a smile on his face. He doubted he'd ever really get along with Jin, hell he was still pretty pissed at how upset he made Nori, but as long as Nori's happy the runt can hang around he supposed.
