Chimera Shadow’s Doom Form essentially replaces his Super Form in the AU. His second set of inhibitor rings are to limit his Doom Powers while his first set keeps his Chaos Energy under control (like canon) (which is a factor why he has to take them off to access this form!)
There’s also a huge cooldown for him when using Doom Powers due to his inhibitors in general. It can take weeks or even a month for him to use them again. I feel like that’s a fair choice to make considering he has chaos powers, doom powers, and a bunch of powerful animal abilities all at the same time LMAO.
Also, Doom Shadow is huge.
And he can breath Chaos Energy like fire now that he has no inhibitors limiting all that chaos energy he has lol.
Still can’t figure out what I want him to look like btw. RIP. HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I at least like some aspects of these messy pieces of concept art though.
Also, Runt Sonic in his Super Form can go as fast as light for short periods of time btw. I don’t have newer art of his Super Form yet but he has a tail with a star on the end of it in this form! (Sorry the art is old lol)

There’s a lot I like about this design concept but there’s also a lot I don’t think would work… doesn’t hurt to share this though! just know this is very much not canon yet as a redesign!
He looks too dragon-like. maybe if I combine this with the old design I’ll be satisfied? 🤔. Or maybe I should mess with his colors more (or add more features from different animals considering his “Chimera” status lol). ACK, I’m rambling sorry lol.
