Shadow Dash is a fictional character from the My Little Pony (series); a hybrid being created based on a Dark Rainbow as Mr. mine anthropomorphic Peagsus/Black Arms. He is Rainbow Dash's archrival and his very antithesis in all aspects of his life. Shadow Dash resembles Rainbow Dash in many ways, including speed thanks to his jet skates, coming to match Rainbow Dash speed. Shadow Dash was created as the "Ultimate Life Form"

The character of Shadow Dash was conceived by the director of My Little Pony Universe, the game in which Shadow Dash was first introduced. A portion of the team responsible for the My Little Pony title was sent to work at Hasbro of America/Canada.
