A Day Out

Harley needed a bit of fresh air, if that is what you could call it. Gotham was usually so bogged down with smog that to say you needed fresh air, was often laughable. She was sure that there were other cities that were worse. Brooklyn had not been that much different than Gotham was.

Leaving her home away from home, she drove into the city limits and wondered into her favorite shop for her usual bagel and smear accompanied by a cup of chai tea. The woman behind the counter  was kind enough to season it  with cinnamon and extra whipped cream, just like she liked it. 

She made her way back to the streets drawing her hoodie over her head to keep a low profile. She hated getting stopped and questioned. At least not that many people confused her with being who she actually was, and that was Harley Quinn. No, when people saw her now, they always called her by her alias, Jessica Turrell.
