My Downworlder OCs for Downworlder Week, Part 1.
| Gabriel Thiebaut | 18 | lycanthrope | Paris |
“Marriage is an institution,” Gabe recited, the formality in the words mocking. Theo looked up from his glass, the ache in his eyes heavy; he pressed himself to smile. “And?” He said, knowing full well the comment was only half finished. “I think I’ve seen my fair share of those.” Gabe jibed, a flash of cynicism in his voice, as he flipped the towel across his shoulder; he leaned forward, resting his arms on the bar top. “As for you,” he continued, pulling the nearly empty glass away from Theo and raising an eyebrow. “I think you’ve had your fair share of that. Hard liquor and Shadowhunting. Not a good combination, by my reckoning.”
I kinda want to draw shadowhunter ocs from all over the world 🌎 like i want a expanded universe
Anyone got any ideas 💡 of where would be cool places?
My Downworlder OCs for Downworlder Week, Part 4.
| Clemence Gladewell | unknown | changeling | Strasbourg, London |
Cyrus never made a habit, so to speak, of mentioning his half-sister to anyone. It seemed as though the Gladewells were a family prone to keeping secrets from the outside world, and it wouldn’t be of any wonder to know that such discretion, in the event of there being no other reasonable candidate, could very well be the heirloom to which the Gladewell name attached itself.
Clemence, however, was the one secret Cyrus agonised in keeping above all others.

Creating my Downworlder OC posts has reignited my love for the Shadow World and made me more excited than ever to write my own in-world fan series (in the plural). I want to delve into the romantic but deadly history of post-revolutionary Paris and its demon pox outbreaks, Nephilim-Vampire wars and subterranean ghost cities. I want to visit Brisbane, Australia in our current year and hang out at Downworld festivals on Fraser Island. I want to trace the history of half-Faeries and changelings in and around the coastal towns of Queensland and the dark history of mundane prison camps. I want to unlock Ricky Blaine’s indigenous ancestry and uncover his dealings with the Sign of Fenrir. I want to travel back to colonial Alexandria, home of the most magnificent Nephilim Institute, where the deepest knowledge of Shadowhunter lore is kept. I want to watch as the European lycanthrope slave trade spreads into Egypt, and walk the streets of the Alexandrian Downworld, where Nephilim patrol on horseback.
I want to understand the Gladewell family secrets, see the camaraderie between Truebloods and Morgensterns in the 18th century, visit the reclusive Verlacs and the grieving Ashburns, fight alongside the loyal Casaleñas and uphold family honour with the Xuānyuángs.
I have an entire interconnected fan series in my head that’s ready to come to life, featuring new families, new stories and new locations - Hong Kong, Australia, Scotland. Five brand new Shadowhunter sagas, spanning periods from 1807 to 2017.
I just need to write them!
