Hopefully Doing the Right Thing || Jock & Kitty

It was one thing to go after the super-powered community and make sure they were acting in the best interests of everyone. But it was another to go after a school filled with innocent kids who were just trying to get by as best they could in a world that hated them.

Rising Tide had fallen quiet over the recent months and Jock hadn’t given them a second thought since. He had gotten on with his own thing. However an email from one of the anonymous members of the hacktivist organisation caught Jock’s attention. He knew he had to do something about it, and for once it didn’t involve him sitting at his computer.

That’s why he found himself at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning not long after he had received the initial email. With Rising Tide being based almost exclusively online, Jock knew it wasn’t safe to communicate with the school using email or phone calls. Face to face would be better and it surprised him that he had even gotten this far. Usually if he didn’t agree with Rising Tide’s activities, he stayed out of it. Not this time.

He went into the main building of the school and asked to speak to the Head. After arguing with the receptionist over how important his matter was and if he should’ve made an appointment or not, he was told to wait. He took a seat and proceeded to fidget with his hands. His strategy was risky and now that he had time to think about it, it seemed kinda half-baked. It all depended on whether the Head was going to believe him or not.

Brain in a Jar (Hank, Kitty, Tony, and Annie)

Weeks after the Danger Room incident, the X-Men still had no idea how to deal with the malicious AI that had attacked them. The USB drive in which Danger was contained was being kept in an old safe with no electronic components. Even as the current resident tech experts of the mutant superhero team, Kitty Pryde and Hank McCoy were unsure of what their next step ought to be. Especially considering being confined was part of why Danger felt oppressed in the first place, Dr. McCoy did not want to keep the alien entity locked up forever. Besides, she was smart and resourceful enough to find a way to escape eventually.

Trusted professionals in the fields of electronics and engineering had been called in. Tony Stark and Agent Annie Smith of S.H.I.E.L.D. Ideally, the four of them would be able to find a way for Danger to peacefully coexist with humans. At the moment however, everything was up in the air. Once both of their guests had arrived, the two X-Men escorted them to an isolated chamber where the safe was being held.

"We deeply appreciate your coming here, Mr. Stark and Agent Smith. I hope that our dilemma is one that you can assist in reconciling," Beast said somewhat grimly. "As you have been no doubt briefed, we are dealing with an alien artificial intelligence. She launched an assault on the X-Men a matter of weeks ago." He turned to Shadowcat. "Is there any other information you feel would be relevant to share, Kitty?"

[Text] Anja, do you still have that house in the mountains? I think it's the best place to take the students. Take the jet, if the invisibility engines still work. If not, grab only what you need, and take cars on different roads.

[Text] Got it. Jet seems to be in working order. Announcement made for all the kids to pack.

[Text] Stay safe, please. Don't want to lose you.

She surveyed the garage one last time. Jets running, car engines being primed, multiple directions on her phone for different routes... Mere hours ago, she would have scoffed at the idea that she could mobilize a lunch hour, much less an evacuation plan. Some wanted to stay, to investigate and help where possible. She might have wanted the same, were she brave enough to risk it. But without her powers, she was the weakest of the others, all of whom had better combat training than she did, all of whom consistently swept the floor with her. She would be useless here, and she knew it.

With a last glance, she turned around and headed back into the mansion, only to almost immediately run into another person. "Sorry-- Oh! Are you staying or going?"

Kitty. Hm…

Pros:- It would likely not effect our professional relationship.- Kitty is an incredibly kind and tender person.- We could converse on the topic of technology afterward. However, this is something we do regardless of partaking in fornication.

Cons:- There is a small potential of her phasing during the sexual act. - Technically speaking, she is my boss, seeing as she is the Headmistress of the Jean Grey School.- Again, I must bring to light the disparity in stamina between myself and a potential partner.

Pros:

She's a friend, so levels of comfort would exist.

There would definitely not be any abuse of emotions or misconceptions of their relationship. Kitty would be open and honest.

She's really unfairly attractive.

Cons:

This would not lead to a clean ending emotionally.

Anja helps out as a sort of TA for the school, so wouldn't hooking up be a violation of some sort of professional relationship?

Anja would probably be distracted halfway through by how attractive Kitty was.
