This is such a beautifully powerful moment. When the tyrannical Shi’ar deities Sharra & K’ythri summon a tidal wave upon their own subjects simply to prove their own superiority as gods, Thor forgoes the rules of the Challenge of the Gods in order to save the entire beach simply because it’s the right thing to do. To Jane Foster, godhood is about being humble & showing humility whilst utilizing her power to protect others whenever and wherever she can, as is demonstrated when she expresses visible discomfort when the civilians she rescued begin praying in her name.
