Tl;dr take others opinions lightly. I didn't wear a great dress because of it.
I hate when people are so shady with their sideways comments. You dont even realize what's happened until later. I have this great dress I love(ed) and I wore to work one day. Now, I don't have a work appropriate body. I have large breasts and a large butt and a great shape so I tend to dress conservatively most of the time because everything feels too sexy. The same for this dress except maybe it was a bit short so I wore flats with it, but high neck line and short sleeves. But a manager said I looked "so sexy" in it (another female) and I was uncomfortable. She quickly apologized with a "but it is a little short . I mean there's work cute and sexy and it's just a bit sexy for work. Like you look great but I wouldn't wear it here lol!..." and I haven't worn it since. That dress is mid thigh. It's was sexy because the bottom half is fitted with a ruffly top. But I guess she couldn't handle my great legs and butt? Since then I've told her I don't have a work appropriate body but my clothes on anyone else would be fine-so I'm fine to.
